"After using cinnamon spice for many years, last nights service was appalling. 4 hour wait for a curry ordered at 6pm via their website paid for in advance. Many calls during the evening and reassurance given even at 7.30pm informed it was being cooked clearly incorrect misleading information. After an evening of multiple calls to the restaurant having the phone just ringing out, calls cancelled and text messages unanswered I did speak to the restaurant at 10pm they still were giving excuses the curry was being cooked totally unacceptable. A family evening spoilt without even the courtesy to call us and inform us of a 4 hour delay. I dread to think of people who ordered after 6pm when or if their food arrived or was it just ours that was forgotten. The restaurant should not accept orders they cannot deliver in a timely manner and if a delay is above the informed time of delivery the customer should be informed at least then giving us the option of sourcing the families evening meal elsewhere. We are still awaiting a refund which was not processed last night as promised, again very disappointing when the money is taken out if the bank immediately refunds should also be prompt. A family evening ruined by incompetent organisation of a takeaway service which surely was anticipated to be busy, even more disappointing as the food us usually very good but significantly let down by the operational management."

"We’ve ordered from Paprika multiple times since moving to Reading and I honestly can’t rate them enough. The food is ALWAYS amazing and on time. I’ve never had a bad or even mediocre dish from them. The potions are plenty, the food always comes hot and is reasonable priced. The delivery driver is really friendly too. If they had a sit in restaurant I would be there all the time. 100% would recommend."

"Placed my first ever order with this local takeaway for a curry night with family and friends and on a Monday, too! We were all impressed not least our little 2 year old visitor who demolished two dishes of paneer cheese dhasnak with great relish. I opted to collect the order and received a call 10 minutes before it was ready. All the curry dishes were waiting for me; I just had to wait 5 minutes whilst the busy chef plunged the breads in the fryer and counted out the poppadoms which were worth waiting for. All in all a lovely meal."

"Pre ordered using just eat on New Year’s Eve and I cannot explain how terrible it all was. 3 adult meals got thrown away, one of the kids meals had to be microwave heated just to make it warm (it was still disgusting) and one of the side dishes (cucumber raita) was curdled to a point it looked like a small brick.. I called them straight away and was told that they could not send any replacement food as they were too busy but they would give us a 60% reduction on our food instead so we could at least order someone where else. Still not received promised discount, we’ve complained to just eat as we ordered through there App but because it was New Years they can’t do anything and the restaurant are now denying they even delivered to us.. I understand it was New Years, lockdown and that they were busy but how can you expect repeat customers when your service is so bad!!!!!!! Avoid the hassle and use someone where else!!!!!!"

"Totally forgot to take pictures of the food we had brought because it was that good we ate it so quick !!! I was diagnosed coeliac last August and have been struggling with the GF diet, most of the foods I 've tried aren 't nice at all. Someone told me about Belgrave Chip Shop last week and having a full size GF menu, so I had to try it!! Well, we wasn 't disappointed at all when I say we, its because my husband who can eat anything off the menu, was tucking into my GF fish bites and GF chips. They were that good, he said he would have them over the normal menu We live the other side of Tamworth to Belgrave but will definitely, 100%, be making the trip when we fancy a 'chippy tea '. Thank you so much for making the effort to do GF, it makes the world of difference to people like me, x I 'll be sure to post this on the GF support pages I 'm following too, along with a picture of your menu"

"Absolutely fantastic!!!! I am not veggie or vegan buy my husband is, so rather than the usual one or two dishes to choose from we thought we'd give it a go absolutely fantastic. Everything was hot and fresh, everything was full of flavour and every dish tasted different. The samosa chaat and the chilli paneer, and the aloo paratha, and the biryani were all out of this world. We ordered noodles that they didn't have, so they knocked it off the bill and threw in the biryani. The delivery driver was really polite and really friendly, order arrived on time and hot from Preston. Don't let the delivery cost put you off as the food is very very reasonable and of an excellent quality You have to try you will not be disappointed. Didn't miss the meat whatsoever! Didn't even spot a single mushroom thank goodness! I was really worried I wouldnt like much, but this was incredible and hands down the best takeaway we've ever had"

"Booked bottomless brunch 3-5pm, ordered cocktails at 3pm they didn't come until 325, it did get quicker after that. The drinks weren't great, there was 5 of us and none of us really liked the cocktails, not sure if it's because they are all rum based with it been a Cuban bar. We were only given 3 menus but all the cocktails are listed on the menu so we needed one each, i asked for more menus they never arrived. I ordered the chicken burger, there was hardly any chicken in it and the breadcrumb bit was hard. Asked for mayo and ketchup, that never came. If you're busy what not just put sauces on the table. When the bill came we'd been charged an £18 service charge, sorry surely we should decide how much tip to leave ?? We had paid a £30 deposit which they didn't take off the bill and we only remembered the next day, this surprised me as everyone that books has to pay a deposit so why was this forgotten about. The staff were nice though, we had Zarah and she was very patient and lovely and we asked the young lad for ice and that came straight away. I wouldn't recommend it nor would i return, sorry."

"I booked this restaurant for 3 people however there was another table of 6 people in there that was part of our group so 9 all together. We overall enjoyed our meals with an exception of 3 who ordered sweet and sour chicken. It wasn't explained to them that the meal they ordered only came with a dipping sauce. All 3 thought the sauce was blend. When we came to pay my friend asked why there was no veg (onions, pepper etc) in the sauce to be told oh you should of ordered Cantonese style sweet and sour. I'd like to offer some advice to the restaurant. Take a minute and explain that the guest may have ordered the wrong item from the menu. It would definitely ensure the guest got the correct item and therefore ensuring returning guests. One final comment. If asked would you like everything to come out together that means you will get your starter and mains together so make sure you say no thank you we'll have our starters first. Long post but i hope this helps guest and restaurant"

"What a great place The food was outstanding and one of the best Italian food I've ever had. The dough and pasta freshly made, great choice of drinks and heavenly delicious desserts. Unfortunately there was no tiramisu already but I have an excuse to go back there. A tiny minus for the customer service. We have been waiting ages for drinks and meal (it was only us at that time, not in rush hours), we got dishes we didn't order, we had to ask couple of times when we'd get our meals, the waitress forgot about our drinks... This was September 2020 and I hope the service is a lot better now. Good location, very cosy, nice decorated place too however if all table are occupated then it's very loud and it's hard to keep the conversation at the table, it was a bit like in bee hive and a bit claustrophobic."

"I visited yesterday for a Sunday lunch after hearing many amazing reviews, and it certainly did not disappoint. The restaurant has a quirky atmosphere, and the staff were truly outstanding—classy, friendly, and knowledgeable about the food and the local area. The starters were delicious, and the roast dinners were absolutely amazing; they are by far the best I’ve had at a restaurant. There was a good selection of desserts, and the house red wine was just as tasty. I can’t find a single fault and can’t wait to try a Saturday night experience next time. Thank you, everyone!"

"Ordered Skepasti with Tzatziki inside and chips. Whole meal was dry. I asked for any sauce like Tahini or Tzatziki but was told to go back online and order for £1.20. They had mustard, hot sauce and a bit of ketchup for free. The sandwich was toasted and the chicken was just small flecks which seemed like overcooked off-cuts of something else. Some onions and a few strands of pepper constituted the salad inside. This is the first meal I have not finished as it was so dry, I finished my can of drink half way though. I'm surprised they don't give out the sauce that the place is named after to customers. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3"

"On holiday for a week we craved a Roast dinner. The George was the first place we saw when we got off the bus. As we had the dog we needed to be in the beer garden which was beautifully kept with flowers and features. All the staff were polite, attentive and the food was delicious. "On Saturday night we ordered from Spice. We ordered online through their website and delivery was 45 min since placing order. The staff was kind and helpful, prodigal with explanations. Superlative food, I am not speaking as a connoisseur of Indian cuisine, but the softness of the meat, the flavour, the feeling of freshness of the ingredients speak a universal language. "I was taken by friends after our night out. I was not expecting to be as impressed as I was. I would say it’s a street food plus type restaurant, however the food does all the talking. There were a few of us so there was a wide selection of dishes that were ordered. As we were eating family style I got to try lots of dishes. All of them had depth of flavour and spice that made the food a delight to eat. Even though we had ordered a fair amount we went back for another portion of the salt and pepper wings (these are highly recommended). The staff were very friendly and enjoyed having a laugh with their customers. Hopefully they do well and if people realise how good the food is, they will be looking for somewhere bigger soon or a second restaurant. It’s nice to try a new food spot that makes the must go again soon list. Sorry there aren’t many photos, the food went down so quick."

"This is a humorous review. I liked the fish and chips, but they were not perfect. The service was quick, but the card machine was not working again. The fish was a thick piece of white cod, but it was overcooked and a bit dry. The batter was also too thick and undercooked inside. The chips were tasty, but I suspect they may have been left under the heat lamp for too long, as they were dry and hard on the outside, but soft and fluffy on the inside. The restaurant is not cheap, but with some improvements in the kitchen, it could be really great."

"make a bit of a new round trip since she moved here for uni after trying the cheap and yet overpriced food along the caffe, they decided that nobody could screw up a burger meal. this place...maybe if they manage to get safely inside, the gauntlet of roadmen outside try to look good and forge both the builders and stands with limited health and safety knowledge and the UberEats/deliveroo drivers waiting outside, they get in, what looks like it might be cool in that it is no longer cool. prepare to repeat their order v-e-r-y slowly, at least three times before they get a knot and ask to share with a considerable sum of cash. I brought it home and slowly talking, had not worked as any piece that was pushed in the bag was wrong. if they thought mcdonald's lack of taste, then they will be disappointed here. not sure if there was a burger or the carton under a microwave castle? vegetarian housewife was given chicken. or soylentgreen. who knows how this place is open, I don't know, but I won't go back. I didn't want to complain personally because the roadman probably wouldn't have appreciated it. prove that they should stick to what they know."
