"The owner, Fong, loves her cooking and is happy to share the flavours and tastes of her home country. This is evident in the food she offers which is always fresh just made and authentic. Dont mistake Lotus for a restaurant, it isn 't, it caters for the lunchtime throng of hungry students and local office workers motivated by gurgling stomachs seeking something different at a good price and Fong more than meets this expectation. Lotus serves up Vietnamese flavored sandwiches and a minimalist lunchtime wok menu (rice noodle dishes) but don 't let this deter you. Everything that comes out of her kitchen tastes great! At one time, she also took lunch orders in advance and prepared them to be delivered just before lunch to the company reception, but I think those days are over. Mind you, if you and your fellow office workers along Perolles Boulevard or in the vicinity haven 't tried Lotus yet, you should. She speaks English and is always happy to serve, which in Switzerland is often a rare trait!"

"The owner is very careful about gluten and was kind enough to pay extra attention to preventing cross-contamination. The gluten-free dough is prepared separately and cooked on its own pan. However, they use the same oven, which poses a risk of contamination. I requested that they place my pizza on a separate side of the oven, and I haven't felt sick. The pizza is delicious, and also my friend enjoyed the gluten-based one as well."

"Parking tout près, cadre typique mais simple, accueil correct puis service chaleureux (répondent aux questions, demandent si ça été, sont attentifs aux clients, amènent une petite serviette à la fin du repas). Nous avons uniquement mangé des sushis, il y avait beaucoup de choix et ils étaient tous très bons. Si on a suffisamment mangé, ils nous donnent les restes dans une petite boîte avec pâte de wasabi, sauce soja et gingembre. Possibilité de prendre à emporter (il y a eu bien 4-5 personnes pendant notre repas). Prix plutôt élevés (mais comme la plupart des restaurants asiatiques en Suisse). Nous y retournerons pour goûter la cuisine "chaude" avec plaisir!"

"Zur Feier seiner bestandenen Lehrabschlussprüfung bin ich mit meinem Patenkind ins Bindella schlemmen gegangen.Er hat sich asiatisch oder italienisch gewünscht. Mit Bindella habe ich mich für ein aussergewöhnliches italienisches Restaurant entschieden.Und es ist dann auch ein toller italienischer Abend geworden. Wir haben uns zur Vorspeise vom vorzüglichen Antipasti-Teller (Selbstbedienung vom Buffet) inspirieren lassen. Zur Hauptspeise haben wir uns für das gebratene Rindsfilet mit Gänseleber an Marsala-Trüffelsauce, Risotto und Spinat entschieden. Auf den ersten Blick ein "overload" an Aromen, aber in der Praxis und im Mund ein kulinarisches Erlebnis vom Feinsten.Zur Nachspeise eine Mousse au chocolat (Toblerone !) als grandioser Abschluss.Bindella bietet eine exzellente "Küche" an, die aber auch ihren Preis hat.Aber italienische Lebensfreude fernab von Pasta und Pizza garantiert."

"I had udon noodles with chicken and vegetables. It was tasty but very oily/greasy. Chicken was of bad quality and there were nearly no vegetables. To me, it seems more Chinese than Japanese cuisine so I felt a bit disappointed as I was looking for a genuine Japanese spot. Credit/debit cards are not accepted which doesn’t make sense in 2019, specially in a main train station with travelers. I will not go back there."

"People who overrate restaurants I don 't thank you. Honestly, I am so disgusted with my experience. I was looking forward to going there given the grades... The meat of the cordon bleu as well as its interior was very good, but no breading, it was soft and moist. However, the breading of a cordon bleu is still essential... but it was okay. On the other hand, the fish and chips, the unmissable thing, was almost edible. The breading non-existent and soft, but damn, it 's the base right?? And the homemade fries I find hard to believe and given their taste and texture, it 's better to say that they are indistritelles otherwise what a shame. 4 fr tap water (sorry, the bottle is not opened in front of me and in a sort of jug, so for me it 's tap water) 4 fr.... How can you miss such simple dishes with only 4 lines on the menu? I ate fish and chips in a shopping center in a chain restaurant that was 100 times better without exaggerating. Soft, impersonal service... very bad experience. Plus, when I see the other place where I had my dessert, the dishes and the prices, I 'm disgusted that I didn 't eat there..."

"Very nice establishment, gentle and pleasant. Magnificent view. Very friendly and good-willed staff. When it comes to cooking, it’s a little more complicated. As a starter, poached egg very good but almost cold. As a dish, ravioli, in fact it is a huge ravioli which is quite “heavy”. Concerning the wines, out of two ordered: none were from the right year. 2020 instead of 2019 and 2022 instead of 2018. Too bad, because it is a magnificent establishment."

"Great food in a charming restaurant! I've not generally been impressed by Swiss cuisine, but Cafe Gothard is an exception. We went with two versions of the traditional roesti; the Gruerien and the Valaisan, both of which were excellent. The Valasian, with tomatoes and raclette cheese was a bit more plain, but the tomatoes really helped cut the richness of the cheese and buttery potatoes. That said, I preferred the Gruerien since it comes with speck (bacon lardons) and onions, but without the tomatoes to cut it, the richness is strong. The restaurant itself isn't huge, so reservations or eating early are advisable. Service was friendly, but this seems to be a predominately French-speaking town, and only one of the servers spoke english. That said, we didn't have any trouble getting by in pidgin French and a bit of English, so don't let that scare you off. Overall probably the best Swiss food I've had in four different trips to Switzerland, and if you're in the area it is definitely worth visiting!"

"Am in Switzerland (Fribourg and Zurich) for a week so decided to have Italian, saw the reviews on trip advisor and walked from my hotel, a pleasant walk when it is semi cloudy and around 15 C. The place have very nice atmosphere and is...pleasantly decorated and lit. Servers are polite and efficient. They brought it a very good bread with a chili oil dip (its IS HOT) very nice. After I ordered a rocca salad and a quatro formagi pizza they brought some kind of fried batter poppers that I didn 't care much for. The salad was made from 2 ingredients: fresh baby rocca and generous shavings of parmigiano cheese, beware they serve it without dressing but they automatically bring balsamic, oil and pepper, so prepare your own and enjoy a fresh delicious salad. Then came the Pizza, they sort of wait till you finish the salad which is great because you get a freshly baked pizza. When it came it was mouth watering steaming and smelling like a fondue, it even tasted like one as they use Gruyere Emental in addition to the Gorgonzola and mozzarella, in other words a perfect fusion between Swiss and Italian flavors.. The small pizza is quiet large and is perfect for sharing by 2 or more if you opt for mix and share which I highly recommend in this restaurant. There was no room for dessert or coffee though they do have ice cream gelato style that looks very inviting (display freezer on the way in). Would love to try their pasta I I have another return to Fribourg."

Die gute Verkehrsanbindung macht einen Besuch flugs machbar.Opa, Oma und ich waren zu zusammen dort und jeder von uns hat etwas anderes bestellt ich kann verlauten lassen, ich hab von allem (ein) bisschen gekostet und es war wirklich gut."

"We ate lunch, and were happy to have a huge serving of salad, fries and a great burger each. Veggie burger was delicious, with a great sauce. The atmosphere was great (lots of families and people of all ages). We went back the next day, but with no reservation couldn't get in. The tables were not cleared very often, so we cleared a space for ourselves, but it was sticky and crumby. Price is good!"

"We had a great dinner here a few nights ago. My husband is lactose intolerant so it's sometimes difficult to find restaurants in Switzerland that suit us both. This was a nice change from traditional Swiss food. Great menu. Everything we ordered was tasty and well prepared. I wish we could have tried more dishes. Service was attentive and helpful. Atmosphere very pleasant. Would definitely recommend."

"It's not the first time I've come to Ginette's; the food is excellent, nothing to complain about. We order takeout one evening, the order is ready at the scheduled time when I go to pick it up, I leave a generous tip. Once home I realize that one of the dishes is not at all what I had ordered (the order receipt proves this . I call the establishment no less than 5 times to inform them of their error, no one answers. So I return to Ginette's which is far from being just next door for me. They make the dish again for me, without comment. I would have been very happy to have had a commercial gesture (which I didn't get... but I didn't even have the right to an apology, nothing, niet, nada! I find this just unacceptable! Not even a “sorry for the mistake” – which would have been more than enough for me. I am just disappointed by this lack of politeness which would have cost nothing but which really counts for customer loyalty. Not at all commercial, finished for me."

"N'avions aucun feedback de personne sur cet endroit mais une grande envie de tartare, donc on y débarque un samedi soir sans réservation (à ne pas faire !). L'endroit n'est clairement pas destiné à restaurer sur place mais plutôt pour emporter son plat. Mais la chance était de notre côté, il y avait encore de la place. Accueil très sympathique et professionnel. On nous propose soit le tartare au saumon ou celui au bœuf. Va pour le bœuf ! On a chacun pris 200 grammes, en se laissant conseiller sur certains compléments (alcool, épices, etc...). Très sympa de faire griller ses toasts à table, à son rythme. Avons pris une bouteille de Malbec, assez moyen mais prix correct. Buffet de salades assez simple en entrée, mais largement suffisant. Ravis de voir des petits jeunes avec autant d'enthousiasme pour satisfaire leur clientèle et très pros dans leur manière de gérer leur business. D'autres établissements devraient en prendre de la graine ! Bonne continuation ;-)"
