"Reservations are a must! If you are planning to visit Fribourg and want to eat in a very classy, old fashioned atmosphere with a superb service and gastronomic food at affordable prices, this is the place to go. You can have a lunch menu for...CHF29.00 and if you do not want a dessert, it is only CHF 23.00 (Mind you that Big Mac Menu in Switzerland is CHF 15. ! But this has nothing to do with price the overall package of this Fribourg's gastronomical temple is where you get the most value. The staff is super friendly and amusing even funny (Sommelier Lorrent Montagne is a total blast , they all speak perfect english and are super friendly to explain to your every single detail about the ingredients which will wake your taste buds up! White, thick table cloth, reminded me of the Great Gatsby Belle Epoque and heavy ustensiles of those pre 2nd WW restaurants. You will be missing a lot of Fribourg if you don't pop in for a great three course meal."

"I've eaten at some bad places in my life.. I'm able to understand that sometimes we take shortcuts and that we can't always have extraordinary expectations.. but here... I just don't understand not how they have the right to serve food to anyone. It's worse than negligence and a lack of respect for customers who pay EXPENSIVE for dishes that are not only disgusting and which are very clearly prepared in bulk and served without much difficulty, but in addition. It's appalling to serve visibly fatty and greenish fish.. this place should undoubtedly receive a visit from health controls.. I worked in the restaurant business for 7 years, I have training in catering and I put you in touch be careful not to go to his places with all the seriousness in the world. If unfortunately you decide to venture there anyway, bring a magnesium chloride formula that can easily be found in pharmacies to treat your certain indigestion. Good luck and if someone is able to intervene to put them back in order, read these lines... intervene without delay before something bad happens to someone."

"Eine ziemliche Enttäuschung. Ich wollte ein gutes türkisches Essen genießen, aber es stellte sich heraus, dass es kaum warm war, wenn auch furchtbar unterkocht, und schrecklich schmeckte. "Schon bei der Begrüssung auf der Terrasse fing es an: Der Chef nickte uns unter seinem Mund-Nasen-Schutz in Richtung des Kellners weiter, dieser sei zuständig. Keine freundliche Begrüssung oder Gestik.Dann servierte er selber statt stillem Wasser eines mit Kohlensäure. Obwohl wir bei ihm bestellt hatten.Der Kellner legte beim Vorbeigehen wortlos ein bisschen Brot auf unserem Tisch ab. Die Vorspeise Gegrilltes Gemüse für Fr. 10.50 bestand aus ein paar wenigen Gemüseschnitzen. Die Hauptspeise Pasta Pulcinella (Fr. 23) hatte die Grösse einer Vorspeise. Grana Padano dazu blieb ein Wunschtraum.Der Chef servierte die Suppe meiner Partnerin (Tortellini in Brodo) und entfernte sich wieder. Nachdem ich ihn jetzt darauf hinwies, dass sie ohne Löffel wohl kaum die Suppe essen könne und auch beide Servietten fehlten, meinte er nur, er müsste auch noch das Telefon bedienen. Kein Wort der Entschuldigung. Wir trafen übrigens erst um ca. 13.30 Uhr ein, nachdem sich die Terrasse bereits merklich geleert hatte.Fazit: überrissene Preise für kleine Portionen, geschmacklich in Ordnung, aber nicht mehr, unaufmerksamer Service, ein Chef ohne Manieren, für mich ein Kretin. Einmal und nie wieder."

"We went to this restaurant on a Thursday evening... We were greeted with a suspicious look by a waitress asking us if we had a reservation. We were impressed: wow, this place must be popular... We were told to sit at a table that was...not set and was near the kitchen. So far, no problem. We did not have reservations, after all. And then, we waited. Finally, we were able to order an aperitif while looking at the menu. And then, we waited... After some time twiddling our thumbs, we ordered entrecotes. And then, we waited... The steaks ultimately arrived; nothing special, just a plain steak swimming in way too much beurre cafe de Paris. We finished our meal and wanted to order some dessert. So, we waited... We ordered a creme brulee. And we waited. That creme brulee was actually tasteless. I don 't know how a restaurant can screw up a creme brulee... So we decided to pay and go... And we waited, and waited. The restaurant was far from full. But the waiter and waitress were rushing around paying little attention to us. We asked ourselves if we actually had turned invisible... Finally, we were freed, thank God! This was not a terrible, awful, no good experience. It was just a profound disappointment. Mediocre food at an extravagant price."

"I was here for a brunch on Sunday, but I've been a bit disappointed by some small and big details in the organization and the service. When I asked the waitress she forgot to tell me that part of the food had to be taken from the fridge by myself, and there was neither fruit nor charcuterie or yogurt/milk on the table (I wandered how to eat the cereals and didn't take it in the end)!! The variety of food was actually small for 22chf/person. And when it was time to pay I waited 10 min for the woman at the cashier to undertand how to use the card reader... food was good and the place is really nice, but this was far from any expectation."

"We are in Fribourg for two nights. Yesterday we went to point and had an incredibly wonderful experience. While my husband loves Asian/Eastern food, I usually don't choose it. We had a nice waitress that helped me choose a curry bowl with vegetables and rice. I loved it. The “best dish of my husband” with which he evaluates the restaurants in Pad Thai with chicken. He was thrilled to give him his gold stamp. Tonight he asked me where to go. I wanted to return to point, something we usually don't do because we like to try new places. But he wanted to. He had a repetition and ai had the pad Thai with vegetables. The food was excellent both nights. The service was perfectly efficient, attentive, friendly. Prices were reasonable, especially for Freiburg."

"Bei strahlendem Wetter haben wir auf der Terrasse als Gruppe das Mittagessen eingenommen. Die Bedienung war freundlich und nett. Das Essen gut und schön angerichtet. Sie können normale Portionen oder für "gute Esser" bestellen. Die Aussicht auf Alt- und Neustadt Fribourg ist fantastisch. "Molino offers a decent selection of vegan pasta, pizza and starters. We really liked the spaghetti napoli and penne all'arrabiata, which in our case were perfectly al dente. The pizza marinara is very spartan, though, and even a veganized pizza vegetariana (just omit mozzarella) is not that great. Verdure al forno are more of a starter. Overall, price/performace is in the green, especially in the pasta department."

"I was hungry and pressed for time and I saw this restuarant on my last visit to Fribourg a year and a half ago but I never tried it due to mixed reviews. I went in and was greeted amiably enough. I was given the...plat de jour menu as well as the ala carte. I chose to order from the ala carte and I decided to keep it simple. I opted for a 1/2 portion of the caprese salad and a full portion of the spaghetti al la pesto. I requested the pasta to be al dente as I like it. Complementary bread rolls came first, followed soon by the beverage (water) that was promptly change due to a fly that fell in it. So server was attentive and amiable. The salad came next and the quantity was huge! About six slices of tomato and a huge chunk of fresh mozzarella seasoned with salt and pepper and olive oil, I added a little balsamic. Bottles of balsamic and oil were brought to my table and so was the black pepper grinder and salt. The pasta came next a large plate that was also deep to accomodate teh extra pesto. Fresh parmesan was provided with a cheese scraper. The salad was very fresh and the cheese of excellent quality. The pasta cooked just right and the quantity was humungous! The sauce was good but not exceptional. Overall price CH38, A bit high but still not too bad. overall it was a very satisfying experience. Would go there again to try other things.."

"We walked in on a Friday afternoon without a reservation and were quickly seated. This restaurant is very close to the Saint Nicholas cathedral in Fribourg. The food was excellent. My wife had the deer medaillon (chevreuil) and I had the vegetarian mushroom fregola sarda, both delicious. Above all was the most excellent service Laura took really great care of us. If you happen to be in Fribourg, you must give this restaurant a chance to amaze you."
