"This restaurant is located on the south side of Rotter Berg, just after the junction with Hannoversche Straße and Göttinger Straße on the edge of Weende Nord. It is a large restuarant with a good sized car park. The quality of the food is excellent...and it is reasonably priced for what is on offer. There is an extensive choice on the menu. Sadly it is let down by slow and inattentive service, but if one is not in a hurry it is worth seeking out"

"Leider bin ich sehr enttäuscht und kann das Salamanca aktuell nicht empfehlen. Zu Beginn wird man laut und unfreundlich nach seinen Corona-Nachweisen gefragt, obwohl aktuell sogar Maskenfreiheit besteht. Ich verstehe, dass jedes Restaurant eine Sicherheit haben möchte, aber etwas Datenschutz wäre doch zu begrüßen, sodass man von den ganzen Nachbartischen diese persönlichen Informationen nicht erfahren muss. Der Ton spielt die Musik und ich erwarte, dass sich eine Kellnerin freundlich verhält, besonders bei sensiblen Daten. Sonst fühlt man sich in seiner Umgebung leider auch nicht wohl, wenn andere Gäste sehr unangenehm behandelt werden, sodass sogar das Restaurant deshalb sogar von Gästen verlassen worden ist. Ich habe mitbekommen, dass ein Genesenenstatus nicht ausreicht, sondern nur die Impfungen. Es gilt also 1G. Diese Information sollte bitte an ihrem Restaurant gekennzeichnet werden. Schade, dass solche Themen aktuell noch so einen großen Raum einnehmen und am eindringlichsten ist, wie unfreundlich die Servicekraft mit allem umgegangen ist. "We were here for the second time. Every time it was a pure pleasure. There are about 5-6 dishes on the daily table. The service is almost familiar with the kitchen perfectly. I currently had the baked (Gorgonzola) broccoli as an appetizer and lamb meat as a main dish. Both were sometimes the best I could enjoy in comparable restaurants. Those who complain about time management (here or elsewhere) should decide whether they want to eat gasonomy in a restaurant or in a fast food system..."

"Nice location in the middle of the Göttingen pedestrian zone at the Jacobikirchhof. The dishes are always freshly prepared and are tastefully very good. There is also a good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The selection of salads, snacks, coffee and cakes complete the offer, as well as always friendly and welcoming service. The space is quite generous inside and outside. Only Manko is a missing disabled wheelchair accessible toilet."

"Edit zur alten Rezension (siehe unten): Zwischenzeitlich gab es einen Betreiberwechsel. Vorher mein absoluter Lieblingsladen und ich Stammkundin, bin ich nun leider nicht mehr dort. Drei Versuche des neuen Essens waren leider im Vergleich zum alten zu enttäuschend, und es ist einfach die tolle Atmosphäre der alten Betreiber dahin. Das heißt nicht dass das Essen dort jetzt schlecht ist aber ich als Fan des alten Ladens mit der tollen Speisekarte, dem großartigen Essen und den Betreibern, kann dort leider nicht mehr hingehen. Von außen wirkt Arleccino etwas unscheinbar, aber davon sollte man sich nicht täuschen lassen! Denn es gibt dort super hochqualitative und sehr sehr leckere italienische Küche. Die Pizza und die Nudeln sind der Hammer, ebenso wie Vorspeisen und Nachtisch. Die italienischen Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und lassen sich immer wieder neue und frische Tagesgerichte einfallen. Für mich der beste Italiener der Stadt und das zu unschlagbaren Preisen."

"So, now it's time for us to leave a review of the Chennai Masala. We have been there regularly since the opening of the restaurant and have eaten there accordingly frequently. We can therefore say that food is consistently good. We are not the meat eaters, so we have often chosen vegetarian and vegan options. All food, whether vegan, vegetarian, fish or meat, is always freshly prepared, abundant with fresh spices, well tasted, and has matching sharpness (clear, is always an individual thing, we always matched it well. In sharp things I recommend Mango Lassi to delete. : We feel comfortable. The seating is pleasantly loose, you do not sit shoulder to shoulder with its table neighbours like in some other shops. The tables are large enough, the chairs are comfortable. The service is always very friendly, never hectic. The atmosphere is inviting, not too quiet, not too loud, with pleasant music that always runs discreetly in the background and never disturbs. All this at absolutely fair prices! We can recommend the Chennai Masala without restriction. (We have ordered a table for the All You Can Eat again today;"

"Vielleicht habe ich das Konzept nicht verstanden. Wir waren mit drei Personen dort. Es gab mehrere Bedienungen, die am Tresen rum standen. Leider wurde von uns über 15 min. keinerlei Notiz genommen. Soll das ein Self Service mit gehobenen Preisen sein? Dann kann man ja gleich zu günstigeren McD gehen… schade wir sind wieder gegangen, weil wir nicht das Gefühl hatten, in einem Restaurant zu sein, wo man sich um die Gäste kümmert. Wenn man deutlich zweistellige Preise für einen Burger zahlt, erwarte ich auch etwas Restaurant Feeling und nicht FastFood, Selbstbedienung insbesondere, wenn Angestellte gelangweilt am Tresen rumhängen) und Raststätten Atmosphäre. Da gehen wir lieber zur Konkurrenz nebendran bei vergleichbaren Preisen) , wo man auch gute Cocktails in freundlicher Atmosphäre mit netter Bedienung bekommt."

"Original Thai as in Thailand you will actually also receive in Göttingen in Chiang Mai. Actually almost all dishes with coconut milk, you should like it! "I never write negative reviews on anything just because I tend to give excuses for people to explain and accept their mean or bad behavior, however, this time was too much. My friend and I arrive for the Morning Breakfast Buffet, we wait for 17 minutes, no one shows up to our table, yet the servers were standing next to the Bar counter laughing and talking to each other (a Tall boy and a Hoody wearing girl with a Poneytail). My friend and I start to doubt that maybe the breakfast is self-service, so I go to them and ask the girl as kind as possible if wr could have the breakfast buffet, she looks at me without saying good morning back and just nods yes. I was confused since I saw she didnt ask us if we want something to drink as well. My friend told me maybe we are only allowed to have the orange juice the others are having. We get the buffet plates and start eating, no one comes yet to ask us for drinks. They were still next to the Bar talking and laughing. We waited for 6 minutes for them to be done, yet, they were not so I decide to once again, go myself to the SERVICE (irony) and ask the guy this time if we could please- after apologizing for interupting their conversation- have something to drink with our buffet. He says okay and I leave. My friend who was looking at the scene take place, sees him throwing his hand in the air and signaling to the waitress in annoyance behind my back (guess he was pissed that I did his job which he could not do for 30min). My friend and I were pissed at how rude they were, not even a smile on both their faces through out all of this. The only good thing about the encounter was the sweet blue eyed, meduim hair lengh blond sweet heart of a Läufer who brough us our drinks with the biggest smile on her face and kept smiling at us everytime our eyes meet. She was the only reason we did not make a scene of this whole thing. The food however for the price was really good and deffinetly filling."

"Wir waren hier zum Abendessen und entschieden uns für das Buffet. Insgesamt eine recht überschaubare Auswahl und die verschiedenen Curries waren wenig abwechslungsreich und wenig gewürzt. Ob die a la Carte Gerichte besser sind, kann ich nicht sagen, aber die Wahl für das Buffet würde ich nicht noch einmal treffen. Auch der Service hätte aufmerksamer sein können, Getränke mussten wir stets am Tresen nachbestellen, am Tisch wurde nicht gefragt. Also bleibt ein eher mittelmässiger Eindruck zurück."

"This restaurant is a very good alternative to e.g. MacDonalds or Kentucky Chicken. It is self service but the food is good a a lot healthier than the average burger or pizza bar if you stay clear of the fried potatoes or fish and chips....You may choose a salad with seafood or a fish without batter with boiled potatoes, and you have a very good meal."

The symposium has been in family possession for several decades and has now been opened in Arndtstraße for a few years after a few changes in location. Das Wissensforum (Museum) nebenan lohnt sich, nicht nur bei Regen, aber einige Exponate finden sich schon im Gastraum und in den Fluren. Die Ausstattung mit Holz auf dem Boden in den Fluren und Zimmern ist sehr wertig, sehr angenehm. Der Stilmixer mit altem Holz macht Freude, ebenso die für moderne Hotels sehr ungewöhnlich hohen Zimmer. Nehmt das Frühstücksbuffet mit! "Sehr freundliche, aufmerksame Mitarbeitende, die Essen und Getränke erklären und Empfehlungen geben können. Extrawunsch (Beten-Carpacchio ohne Meerrettich) wurde erfüllt, die Vorspeisen waren sehr lecker. Ebenso die Pizzen: sensationeller Rand, saftiger Belag. Ein rundum tolles Essen vom Aperitif bis zu Espresso und Schokotrüffel. Kurzfristig sind wir nur zu zweit statt zu dritt erschienen und wurden an einen Zweiertisch mit sehr geringen Abstand zum nächsten Zweiertisch gesetzt. Gespräche waren gegenseitig gut mitzuhören...mehr Abstand wäre schön gewesen, Restaurant schien nicht ausgebucht zu sein. Wir werden in jedem Fall wieder dort essen gehen."
