"price performance ratio is correct. 1. visit november 2014, table reservation for 7 persons the black schaf you will find in the pedestrian zone near the goslar railway station. parking spaces belonging to the restaurant are not available on the grounds of the location. the parking space search is sometimes quite difficult, since only a few free parking spaces are available near the restaurant. cozy little restaurant with some luck you can get one of the few outside tables right in front of the restaurant in the case of beautiful weather. the menu offers a variety of different dishes of various tastes. the portions are always plentiful and really tasty. personal very kind 2. visit December 2015, 2nd Christmas holiday. reservation for 6 people plus baby with children's car 26.12.2015 although we arrived at the agreed time before the restaurant, we stood in front of a closed door after approx. 10 minutes the restaurant was finally opened. on another day I would certainly not have seen the thing so closely only unfortunately it was raining in and our table was available only for 1.5 hours until the arrival of the next guests. in the dining room was very hectic, as the staff was still busy with pre-proliferation work. we were led to our table and our order was accepted in time. since some drinks were served that we had not ordered, was responded to our complaint with eye rollers. blew it over. all the dishes tasted great as always. Unfortunately, the time for a cozy together with a little over an hour was a little short. Conclusion: the black sheep offers delicious food for every taste. rich, affordable. price performance is consistent. during my last visit on the 2nd Christmas holiday, the staff was overwhelmed and hectic this was probably due to the fact that the table reservations were awarded in relatively short intervals and were not guests or personal with the tight appointment so really happy. who puts on a cozy, family-friendly restaurant with a large selection of different dishes at a reasonable price, is with a visit in black sheep on the safe side."

"On the way from our hotel to the old town and back we always come past this restaurant. A view through the windows into the interior shows an appealing ambience. The tables in front of the restaurant are not covered because of the cool weather in the evening, but have at least rosemary pots as decoration on the table, which looks nice. And with a view of the surroundings, the market church and patrician houses, it is definitely wonderful to sit and enjoy here on a beautiful summer evening. The menu in the curtain is also very promising with the clearly Mediterranean orientation. We decide to pamper ourselves here as guests, again without reservation. The restaurant is relatively small, newly arriving guests are immediately seen and welcoming, so also we. We ask if we can put the free table on the window, because the daylight is not enough to the rear part of the restaurant. The ambience impresses with stylish elegance. Bright ceiling, warm, dark brown on the walls with beam-like separations, on the walls large mirrors in the gold frame. In the rear area, near the counter, the tables are very tight so that privacy is not always guaranteed. Also because of this narrowness we prefer to sit near the entrance door and this is also agreed by the service lady. The tables are tastefully covered, with fabric blankets, high-quality paper napkins (why not a fabric napkins? , several tealights, a large vase, filled with water, a fresh lemon and a rosemary branch. That looks very appealing. Between some tables there are table-high stands with a silver-colored bowl, in which also several fresh lemons float in the water, in the middle a candlelight. Each table has one or two bottles of red wine. Overall an ambience for feeling well! We get the menu and since we do not need wine advice again, order our usual drinks, a pils for me and water for the girlfriend. The map is not very extensive, because everything is freshly prepared. The name of the restaurant suggests French cuisine, but the dishes are mostly Italian-Mediterranean. All meats are represented with two or three dishes, some pasta preparations, two vegetarian vegetable dishes (without aubergine, some typical desserts. We choose both veal fillet tips Vendee in sherry cream sauce, vegetables, rosemary salads (15,90 €). We are a little disappointed that there is no greeting from the kitchen, that we had expected. And after ten minutes we found out when something was put on a wooden board, without further explanation. A very thin pizza floor, nice crispy baked with Mediterranean herbs and especially rosemary, very hot, very tasty! Even while we enjoy the pizza bread, our calf fillet tips come to the table and zack, the rest is cleared without words. Too bad, there must be work on time management! The portion on the well preheated plate is abundant. The fillet tips mixed with champignons, the serrated carrots and the broccoli piece crunchy. The sauce is finely tuned with cream and sherry and fits very well not only to meat, but also to vegetables. And the fillet tips from the calf? Unfortunately, a part of this is not so delicate, my girlfriend is also agreeing. Tastefully everything fits together, but a little disappointed we are already. This does not apply to the rosemary potatoes served in a separate bowl. The bowl is very hot, the potatoes too, they were baked once more in the oven, crispy outside, perfectly seasoned and clearly taste as rosemary potatoes. That's right. A hot, strong, aromatic espresso forms a good conclusion. The service is friendly and very attentive, but even if the service is usually perceived as pleasant, this was clearly too big this evening. No explanations, no question whether everything is suitable and right, no demand for dessert or espresso. Here we searched for the eye contact and then drew attention to us by gestures. Conclusion: An ambience that we like very much, a meal with smears, a service with more smears that fits PLV."

"During our Bimmelbahn ride through the old town of Goslar, we also talked about a speciality of Goslar, the Gosebier, who has his name after the Flüsschen Gose, which is actually called breeding. And I wanted to try this beer specialty. And this goes in the “Butterhanne”. Our second dinner in Goslar should take place here in the almost 500 years old former felt hat-making house, right in the centre of the market church with a large outdoor terrace, for which it is already too cool in the evening. The spokesman in the Bimmelbahn had already enlightened us about one of the local Goslar landmarks, namely the “Butterhanne” after which the restaurant has its name. On the outer shield you can see the butterhanne with butter barrel and raised skirt well. The spokesman explained with the following saying to the historical figure of the butterhanne, which is also found in the menu of the host house, why the Harz cheese so “stinct”: The left hand on the butter barrel, the right on the buttocks, is made here in the Harzerland the good Harz cheese. No butter is used in the production of resin cheese, but is a product of sour milk. In the early evening at sunshine we entered the restaurant and were welcomed very friendly. My first thought was: Oh, my God, this is dark here! In fact, all the lamps burned, because only the front has windows and the premises draw far to the rear. The dark impression is also supported by the many dark wood on ceilings and walls and the tables, chairs and benches. However, the whole is a little loosened by the cheeky spells to and about the butterhanne and nice paintings on the wood-free parts of the walls. We can sit in the front, slightly brighter area. Everything is a little tight, not necessarily for feeling well. The menu is quickly ready and on my question, what is special about the Gosebier, the service lady could answer me competently: the Gose Gold in light or dark is brewed here in the house and is like the Kölsch a separate beer type, a natural, natural, mountainous wheat beer, which, in addition to the usual ingredients, also contains salt and coriander. The alcohol content is about 4.8% vol. And because the gose is not pasteurized and unfiltered, I can do incredibly much for my vitamin balance, because it is rich in vitamins (B1, B2, B6, B12, minerals and trace elements. That is, of course, the decisive argument! And so I order the dark gose (0,3 for 2,40 € and my girlfriend as always mineral water (0,2 for 1,90 €). The menu offers breakfast from 2,50 € incl. Coffee rich, homemade cakes and cakes, good-bourgeois cuisine, Harz wild specialities, foods around the beer and steaks from the grill as well as seasonal, that is, currently asparagus. And I was looking for steak, more precise pepper steak, according to the map “Rumpsteak (180 g fresh weight of pepper cream sauce with green peppercorns, with bacon beans and fries” (17,90 € and my girlfriend was again after a long time after “Cordon Bleu with mixed vegetables and French fries” for 11,50 €. My well-cooled dark gosebier has a very beautiful red-brown shade, which it receives through a third special malt, and tastes lightly smokey-malzig, is really nicely spicy and tastes very good! Our two dishes don't let us wait long. The Cordon Bleu has a crusty panade, is quite dark and decorated with a lemon slice. My friend's face shows dissatisfaction after the first bites. The meat is dry and tough, weakly seasoned and the cheese and cooking ham tasteless. The vegetables that look like TK also lack spices. But the fries are fine. But she does not want to complain, because then it must be waiting for replacement. Head shakes on my side. My pepper steak (Rumpsteak is not medium rare as ordered, but anyway medium, with enough roasted aromas I still have to season a bit. The quality of the meat is okay. For me, there is clearly too little green pepper in the sauce. The bacon beans are, unfortunately, only lukewarm, even they carry more spice. When cleaning up, the service lady asks if everything was right. My friend tells her the meat was tough. Your reaction: You want to pass it to the kitchen. Nothing more. For this, my invoice will show €12.90 instead of €17.90 for the pepper steak, because Wednesday is Steak day and since the ticket for the Bimmelbahn included a voucher of €1 for consumption in the butterhanne, I finally paid €11.90. That's all it was worth! But it is definitely worth it (at least for Bietrinker, to taste and enjoy the gosebier!"
