"My wife and I were en route to Barcelona and thought we would make a short detour off the autoroute for a fish lunch. Initially a disappointment all the restaurants by the port were closed, a Thursday in April, luckily La Croisette was open....We arrived quite late, just after 1.30 pm but were made very welcome. No hesitation in choosing the day 's menu with the main course 'Fish and Chips ' The first course was a tasty salad served with a slice of piazza. A large portion of extremely fresh cod coated in part with a beautiful tasty batter, and the home made chips....mmmmm. To follow we ordered from the menu, my tarte tatin was a delight, excellent caramelised apples. A choice of wine or coffee with the set menu, having previously ordered a half bottle of white, we chose the coffee. Service throughout was prompt and very friendly Very happy to give a 5 star rating"

"My mum, my boyfriend and I were looking for a nice restaurant in Gruissan for dinner. The restaurant is situated very nicely and we had a table outside with a great view. Two of us ordered the menu for 22€ and I had Loup de Mer. My fish (19€) was really good, only the spinach tarte was not self-made which was a pitty. The menu was a total desaster: salad with finished sauce and the bacon around the chèvre was old/over the edge. The main dish of the menu was gratinated casseroles which was tasteless and not something you would expect to eat at an restaurant - whoever cooked the menu, was no chef at all. The dessert, a chocolate créme, was a liquid something no one would call "créme", all in all low-quality products and certainly not worth being served in a restaurant - except the Loup. Very disappointing and certainly no reason to come back - we do not understand the positive comments from other customers at all!"

"A very popular restaurant in summer doing over 600 covers on any given day. It would be interesting to know how they would cope under pressure. However, this is the second time I've eaten here with family and there is nothing to disappoint and much to praise. Even on wintry Tuesday in January in a deserted Gruissan port there are 6/7 tables of mixed groups. For 17 euros plus wine in carafe, the three course lunch was delicious and service friendly and efficient. Very generous and well presented tureen of fish soup, an excellent pot of fresh mussels and real chips, followed by a basin of fromage frais and honey to rinse clean the palate. Simply excellent and ideal fare for the season. The experience would take me back and does suggest that the cooking is fresh and worth trying a la carte."
