"The city of Landau, my birth and youth town, invites you to the Landesgartenschau in 2015. With 15 euros, for partly dried beds and completely overpriced gastronomy, we were looking for a first possibility of returning in advance and stayed at the Olympics, the first stop for the lunch table. Landau is not only known as an old fortified city, but also sounding names such as university, wine, garden and shopping city describe the South Palatinate metropolis. Landau is the geographical centre of the holiday region Südliche Weinstraße and is characterized by a variety of leisure activities. We parked on the measuring site, the day map reached 2.50 and take us to the city centre decorated with numerous flowers. After a one-hour shopping tour and look for and do not find old shops (where is the Gauer, where the Christmann ?? we are heading towards Martin Luther Straße. Martin Luther Strasse connects the Westbahnstraße to Ostbahnstraße and is one of the main roads in Landau. After the obligatory handshake for greeting, we took place in the front part on a large window of the typical Greek decorated local. The spacious rooms are skillfully divided by partition walls and thus also quieter or angled corners are created. In the midday it can become louder and harder, yet the owners know how to give the guest their peace with the division. We get the menu from the flashy and very attentive male waiters, on the first page the famous lunch table card, from this we look for 3 different dishes. Grilled lumb with cheese sauce (7.50 , grilled beef liver with onions (7.20 , I took the small meat plate with cheese sauce. Change requests are not a problem, instead of the offered Zatziki, I took the cheese sauce. I have to quote my friend Mr Rieder, who is currently living in Scotland with his better half to find the monster of Loch Ness. But dear friend, just go to Berlin; .... The heartily grounded meat kitchen makes Carnivoren's hearts beat faster. The visit is worthwhile for the Gyros alone! This impresses not only with its fine spice, but above all with its qualitatively good, perfectly grilled meat, the nice juicy, but not too bold on the central part of the plate A very well-made supplement salad is served for each meat dish. My mother-in-law in spe, who was here for the first time, what, at this price is another salad? (She didn't know anything about dessert and liqueur, the green head salad was tasty with a red beet dressing, with potatoes, carrots, celery and herb salad. Everything wonderfully in itself made harmonious. Then the meat plates were served first, then on extra plates, two times pommes, I had the fluffy tomato rice. I do not like internals, but my mother-in-law (in spe praised the liver in very high tones. My wife also tried her and said she tasted sensational. She herself had the lumb with the cheese sauce, this was a real highlight. Fresh, delicate pink grilled, beautiful salted. My one was happy about the small meat plate. In the middle of the gyro, hammer. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, cut into small mouth fine pieces, nice crispy, so must taste gros. There was a skewer, which was also super grilled, the meat juicy and of excellent quality. The Suzuki (no, not the Japanese small car, a minced meat wheel, completed Dantes Inferno Finale. Crispy, inside soft, famos tasted. After the dishes, the dessert was served to us. Little honeyballs with vanilla ice cream, the balls had still got sesame. That tasted ... super (of course after paying, we were asked for the digestif, we decided once for sweet liqueurs and twice for the obligatory ouzo, which tasted very mild. Conclusion: My favourite Greek in the Palatinate!!"
