"Absolutely incredible! My friends and I were visiting from The States and stumbled upon Le Refuge and decided to try it. The food was more than memorable (still thinking about their French Beef Wellington french toast dessert), the service was quick and friendly, and the owner stopped by and engaged with us. We took a chance on the magician going around to the different tables, and we were not disappointed. I highly recommend Le Refuge to anyone in the area and if I ever find myself back in France, I will be returning. Thank you all!"

"Very nice meals, tasteful and mastered plates, consistent in their history and inspiration. Service diligent, competent and attentive. We get out of Saint Nicolas having very well eaten and spent a very nice time. The table facing the kitchen allows exchanges with the team and with Chef Marvin Lance who conquered us by his generosity. The Saint Nicolas is very good, what better to ask?!?"

"We enjoyed a lovely meal at this wonderful french resturant just up the hill from Megeve resort. Pre booked. This small family owned place was warm, comfortable and traditionally decorated. Madame greets you with a warm smile and helps English with limited french make their way through the menu. The service unhurried and friendly. The food so good. We enjoyed pate for starters with veal, pork and lamb mains all beautifully cooked and so good. Wines are delicious and locally sourced. the deserts choc mouse and fondants served with naughty creame and ice creames laced with local spirits. A lovely way to spend the evening. Lovely location, food and the very best in authentic french hospitality. thankyou guys. tres, tres bon."

"Nous avons l’habitude de séjourner dans cette hôtel depuis plusieurs années car l’accueil Et le service de l’établissement était irréprochable et sûrement le meilleur de Megeve.À notre grande surprise cette année tout avait changé l’accueil et le personnel de l’hôtel n’avait plus rien à voir. Les chambres auraient besoin d’être rénovées par rapport aux prix demandés.Malheureusement nous ne pensons pas revenir dans cet établissement l’an prochain et choisirons un autre hôtel avec une étoile de plus et des prix similaires Voir inférieurs pour une suite au lieu d’une chambre au lodge Park."

This allows it to vary the flavors of these to the infinite. Sweet potato fries are a real killing.For pizzas the choice is difficult to make. "it is true that for megaves, really very attractive price: dishes but accompaniments in addition to noodles necessarily jumped desserts from normal prices for an Asian but very cheap for megève megève fondues and bbqs more expensive, between and for more in the megève taken a cocktail house in aperitif for, very good with a litchi full pot with seasons a supplement of sauce Sweet asian dessert with well marinated annanas and nougat ice cream with very good sesame. because of the quantity that I only put (reporting quality prices megave well) but to come back to test other dishes and if more quantity copied maybe I will change positive point for ok to serve me again on site while the resto gets closer but as there were still customers, it is logical that we even accept a restaurant to the solo customers in an elegant setting with possibility of sale to take away regions and wide"

"We had a very good evening, the dishes were very good (a big blow of heart for verjus shells and the saffron and cabbage shad) and quite original. The 8-service version is perhaps a little too copyy, we expected that some of the tasting portions of the type the end would be complicated and it was a bit spoiled the end of the meal because we were a little spicy. very nice cheese tray with an incredible comfort of 36 months. We took the Mets-vins agreement and were not disappointed by the choices of the sommelier who let her transpare a true passion for her profession, it is always good to see! The staff was really nice, with little care without doing too much. the use of local products is always more a day, especially in the wines where 6 out of 7 glasses are from the region if my memories are good. I strongly advise the alpaca table!"

"We've been staying in the Lodge Park in Megeve for 5 days - the hotel is lovely.I only tend to post reviews when something really upsets me - so here goes.In Megeve we've eaten in some really good restaurants - Table de Trapper, Ideal ( expensive but worth it), La Fruitiere, Flocons Village. I probably eat out over 100 times a year.On our last night in Megeve this year we thought we'd eat in the hotel's restaurant Beef Lodge. What a mistake to make.It started badly when we were ushered to a table next to a pillar only fit to seat one person.Then the lady waiter offered me the menu before my wife - bad form.We ordered our food from what looked like a good menu, and our wine. The waiter suggested we finish the aperitif before tasting the wine - then forgot us - I poured and tasted myself.Staters came and were good.Main course came, my fillet steak (ordered a pointe)came and was well done. I said to the waiter that it was overcooked and she said a pointe meant well done! We googled and it confirmed a pointe is rare to medium rare I.e. Perfect. My wife looked on whilst this occurred and the waiter offered to recook my steak - my wife asked to keep the other steak warm so that we could both eat at the same time!When the steak came back the waiter passed me the portion of cold fries - when I suggested warm ones were appropriate she took them away. My wife's steak had gone cold - had not been kept warm - I had no cutlery. After two minutes we said that we'd had enough an retired to the hotel bar.A bill of 139 euros was presented for starters and wine, leaving me hungry.Not good service, hospitality or complaint management. Plenty of better places to eat in this lovely town.Avoid."

"Nous étions 7 convives de la même famille et sur les conseils du site la Fourchette, qui prôner un menu moyen à 20 euros et de bonne qualité, nous sommes allés dîner dans cet établissement. Hors ce n'est pas tellement la faute du restaurant mais plutôt celle du site qui doit fournir des informations erronées mais les prix sont assez élevé rien à voir avec ceux mentionnés par le site . Nous sommes quand même resté dîner mais je reconnais qu'à MEGEVE. Tout est onéreux et ma fois le restaurant est pas mal, la cuisine bonne mais pas à la mesure des prix affichés et surtout cette forte odeur de fromage qui plane dans la salle est assez gênante pour un établissement comme celui ci qui possède également un hôtel étoilé.il faudra préciser qu'un établissement de cette catégorie possède de belle toilettes mais avec des sèches mains qui ne fonctionne pas et des murs de lavabos en décrépitude. Quitte à ce considéré comme un établissement de standing avec les tarifs qui vont avec, il est préférable d'être irréprochable !"

"On a mal mangé.Le service était débordé ( et peu importe que M.Rafarin fête son anniversaire entouré de quelques amis, cela ne doit pas arriver).Les prix sont excessifs, au regard de ce que l'on mange notamment.Bref, mauvaise expérience dans cet endroit de plus en plus surfait et qui justifierait non seulement une reprise en mains, mais avant tout une remise en cause sérieuse et rapide.Dommage...le cadre est magnifique!"
