"Sunday lunch well booked in advance, how very good reviews read, was concerned that it slender or no chance to get a table. parking is a battle here, like its on a main road, with limited parking in the opposite, and would recommend some research where to park, or get a taxi. at the entrance, with Kovid restrictions, the door is cut off, very nicely greeted and sit by very pleasant staff. drink order was taken in very good time, and menus at the table. as after a pick up and a lazy we were slow to look at the menus, order slowly, but the facility allowed us this. when we were there, two had been taken, and after us were taken two more tables, the place was not full, but enough people to feel comfortable. we all ordered the turkey dinner as it was the guide to christmas, but we noticed that there are different meats available as well as the vegetarian option. we talked about it, of course, and it seemed like no time on all the plates came up with meat, roast, kartoffel, yorkshire pudding and gravy. we had different vegetables with pigs and lukewarm in cheese sauce and extra gravur. we were all excited about presentation, selection of vegetables and eating was hot and very tasty. two of us four chosen puddings, options limited, but covered all bases. we were pleased to see were a great size, served with a selection of pouring cream or ice cream was a great end of the meal. we were thrilled to find the dolphin, personal was great, sitting space relaxed and spaced, allowed us to stay well at the most assigned dining room time per table. the only thing I would have said was that they might have missed an opportunity, as the waitress did not approach us after dessert and we would have had more drinks when they approached. reasonable price at £12.95 for one cure, I had two courses and an alcoholic drink for £22. we have enjoyed our culinary experience very much, will definitely use it again and would recommend it to everyone in the opposite to look for a great meal in a relaxed environment."

"As a family The Harp has always been a firm favourite so when we found they were reopening we booked a table. On arriving we got shown to our table with no communication on how to order with the new guidelines etc we were left to find a small square of paper on the table with a barcode to scan. This was simple enough we found the menu etc so we ordered drinks, starters and mains( as would normally be done by a staff member). Our drinks came and the lemonade was flat, this was sorted but with poor attitude. As soon as the starters where put down our mains arrived at the same time, I questioned this to be told the kitchen received the order at the same time with no apology. The garlic bread which we had ordered for starter was very pale and looked like it could have done with an extra couple of minutes in the oven. After the response we got to the starters arriving at the wrong time and the lemonade it seemed pointless to point this out along with the rare steak which was more medium to well. We normally love The Harp as the food is great and and were looking forward to seeing the refurbishment but left disappointed. I wouldn't normally leave a review like this but after eating out at several other restaurants in the county this week which were in a league above I felt I had too. I feel this could have mainly been resolved with a simple explanation on arrival about how to order and that we should order each course seperatly."
