"We booked the Bay of Bengal for my wife's birthday meal, when we booked we asked for 6.30pm and an outside table, they told us they can't guarantee the outside tables on a weekend, which is fair enough. We arrived just before 6.30 and as we were early, we got our outside table for 4, we had taken our own alcohol as its BYOB, we were asked for our order, we asked if we could just order some poppadoms and chutneys while we decided our main meals, but, we were told we had to order everything together. We ordered the poppadoms, chutneys and 4 main meals with 1 chips, 2 portions of rice and 2 x naan. When the food arrived the bowl of chips was tiny and tbe rice portions were just enough for 2, which was disappointing, as the rice is usually plentiful in most Indian restaurants, we had to order another rice bowl and a 2nd chips bowl, which was double the size of tbe 1st one..we complained about this and we were only charged for the one bowl. Overall the food was really good, but, we felt like we were rushed, as if they wanted us in and out , the was also no interaction with the waiters, not even asking how the meal was, our waiter didn't know what the different dishes were he served us. Would we go again, probably yes, as its a stunning location and the food is really good, we are also now fully aware of the portions."
