"A friend and I were staying at the Maritim Hotel near DUS airport and we were looking for a decent restaurant which was close by and open. I read on the Website and on Google that the Bei Stefan was Open until 11PM, so we took a taxi and arrived at 9:15PM. We entered the restaurant only to be told that they are closing. I said "according to your website and Google you are open until 11PM" to which they replied "but the kitchen closes at 10PM". That conversation took place at 9:15PM!!! Did they lose track of the time??? We walked out in disbelief after spending 10.50 euro on a taxi to get there. Flushing my money down the toilet at the hotel would have been easier and would have spared us the walk back. This is the epitome of "bad business". Please note that this review has nothing to do with the food (which we never got the chance to try)"

"Meine Freundin und ich haben am 23.03.2017 das neue Restaurant Gustos im Golfclub Hösel ausprobiert. Der anfängliche erste Eindruck eines gepflegten und wunderbar beleuchteten Golfplatzes ließ unsere Vorfreude auf das Clubhaus sofort steigen. Das Restaurant ist leider alles andere als gemütlich und riesig mit vielen Tischen ähnlich einer gehobenen Großraum-Kantine besserer Einrichtung. Die Beleuchtung war grell und konnte leider nicht dem Abend entsprechend gedimmt werden, sodass die Teelichter auf den Tischen völlig überflüssig wirkten bzw. im Licht der Decke verschwanden. Viele Tische sollen reserviert gewesen sein als wir um 19:30Uhr das Restaurant betraten unser Wunschtisch am Fenster blieb den ganzen Abend frei. Was man dazu sagen muss, er war für sechs Personen eingedeckt, wir waren zu zweit. Aus gastronomischer Sicht kann man das entschuldigen allerdings blieb der Tisch den ganzen Abend frei. Wir hatten an einen romantischen Abend mit schöner Golfplatzbeleuchtung und gepflegtem Ambiente gedacht. Nun mussten wir einen Platz in zweiter Reihe an der Kellner-Autobahn bzw. dem Gang in Kauf nehmen.Von Gemütlichkeit keine SpurDer Service des Personals war von Beginn an aufmerksam, höflich und stimmig wie wir ihn aus dem alten Restaurant am Reitstall gewohnt waren. Aus den Lautsprechern des Restaurant hatten wir uns leises "Geklimper" klassischer Natur vorgestellt, nicht aber die Berichterstattung zu den Terroranschlägen in London, das Wetter und die Stauschau von 1Live! Normalerweise ist es auch meine Freundin die einem Restaurant friert, dieses Mal ist es mir aufgefallen das es zog und kalt war. Dies veranlasste uns zu überlegen ob wir nicht doch noch einmal den Platz wechseln wollten, auch wenn wir zu diesem Zeitpunkt bereits Brot und dreierlei Aufstriche, auch unseren Aperitif vor uns stehen hatten. Von anderen Gästen haben wir dezenter mitbekommen, dass es auch anderswo frisch sei und so blieben wir an unserem Tisch sitzen.Meine Freundin hat eine Suppe als Vorspeise und einen Salat als Hauptgang, der eigentlich auf der Mittagskarte stand ausgewählt was absolut kein Problem darstellte. Das haben wir als sehr flexibel und gastorientiert empfunden. Ich habe das Tour de Menu - Menu Nummer 2 ohne Suppe bestellt. Das Restaurant in unserem Teil nahe der Theke war mäßig gefüllt, im hinteren Teil des Gastraumes schien eine Veranstaltung stattgefunden zu haben. Lange Wartezeiten zwischen den Gängen waren leider eine etwas unangenehme Folge und so nahmen wir vorlieb mit einer zweiten, sogar dritten Runde Brot welches uns auf Anfrage problemlos nachserviert worden ist.Schön wiederum, dass meiner Freundin ebenfalls ein Zitronen-Sorbet gereicht wurde, welches eigentlich nur Bestandteil meines Menus war. Wie bereits erwähnt war das Personal pfiffig und aufmerksam. Die Qualität der Speisen war gut und auch das Auge hat sich daran erfreut. Leider haben das andere Gäste anders empfunden was seitens der Gäste und des Personals nicht wirklich leise reklamiert und besprochen wurde. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis hat sich meiner Empfindung nach dem Umfeld des Golfplatzes angepasst, ist teurer geworden. Service und Speisen würde ich für gut empfinden, Ambiente und Atmosphäre ausreichend bis tatsächlich mangelhaft. Wir haben uns dazu entschieden den Abend nachzuholen wenn der Sommer Einzug gehalten hat und die Terrasse vielleicht ihren Teil einer besseren Erfahrung beiträgt."

"Ok I'll admit, after traveling so much in Germany I was getting tired of all the pasta and carbs. I actually love pasta a lot, but it was getting to be a bit too much. Food (4/5): First time I came here I was super disappointed. The gnocchi I got with the tomato sauce was not up to par on the gnocchi I had at Gioia. I think I expected something similar and when it didn't meet my expectations it made me extremely disappointed. Then the next time I came I got this pasta with tomato cream sauce and salmon and it was DELICIOUS. I was so much happier with my choice the second time. I realized that the tomato sauces here are too sour for my liking, I'm more of a cream or white sauce type of person. They also have these AMAZING complimentary bread rolls with these really creamy and yummy garlic butter spread! Service (3/5): service was decent, nothing special or anything about it. Exterior/Interior (4/5): the restaurant is pretty big and there's a lot of seating inside and outside which is super convenient!"

"Wir reservierten die Kegelbahn und wurden direkt an der Theke sehr zuvorkommend und herzlich begrüßt. Die Kellnerinnen führten uns daraufhin in den Raum des Geschehens und nahmen die Getränke auf. Nachdem diese bei uns ankamen gab uns die Kellnerin noch ein wenig Bedenkzeit bei der Wahl des Gerichtes, da sich nach 10 Minuten "immer" noch nicht alle entschieden hatten;-). Was ich als sehr angenehm empfand war, dass alle Essen gleichzeitig oder mit keiner größeren Verzögerung ankamen, sodass alle gemeinsam anfangen konnten zu speisen. Ich hatte die Tapas Platte für eine Person und diese war wirklich sehr sehr lecker und auch sättigend... Andere Gäste schwärmten von den Steaks. Das werde ich dann bei meinem nächsten Besuch beurteilen können. Nach dem Essen gingen wir zum sportlichen Teil der Veranstaltung über...die Kellnerinnen fragten zwischendurch immer nach unserem Befinden, waren aber nicht zu aufdringlich. Wir fühlten uns sehr gut aufgehoben. Als kleines Manko würde ich das Interieur aufzählen, was ein wenig altertümlich ins Auge sticht...ist natürlich auch Geschmackssache..manche mögen es etwas "holziger" manche eher "modern". Ansonsten konnte ich nicht meckern.. Der Service war aufmerksam und angenehm, das Essen sehr lecker...Das Lokal bildete den perfekten Ort für meinen Geburtstag...Ich würde es ohne Bedenken weiterempfehlen. Bis zum nächsten Mal. "Wir waren unter der Woche hier zu Abend essen und sind begeistert gewesen. Gehobene Küche und trotzdem nicht zu teuer. Das Fleisch war sehr gut und auch die Beilagen haben nicht enttäuscht. Die Einrichtung gemütlich und sauber, eher modern gehalten. Die Bedienung war stets sehr nett. Im Sommer kann man auf der Terrasse mit Rheinblick sicherlich sehr angenehm den Sonnenuntergang genießen. Eine große Empfehlung von uns und wir werden sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal dort gegessen haben."

"Leider waren wir bei unserem Besuch sehr unzufrieden. Im Keller wird man recht selten bedient und auf der Rechnung standen viel höhere Preise als in der Karte und zusätzlich wurde ein Gericht zuviel abgerechnet. "My wife, daughter and I found this place on TripAdvisor and set out to find it. It took a couple of tries to find a parking space but finely did. We were greeted by one of the friendliest waiters I have ever had. The atmosphere...was what I would say as a typical German restaurant. It was better than I expected. We ordered our food and it was amazing when it came out. I didn't know if I could eat it all, but I did. The price was better than I expected, provided that the plate was overflowing with food. I am going back to Germany in a couple days for work and will definitely be going back."

"the good wolsaap has developed into my favourite restaurant. ede and his team make super work. both the service staff and the doll in the kitchen make a visit in the good wolfsaap every (!!) time to a great experience. the foods are very tasty (good-bourgeois, German cuisine) and extremely generous. soup, sour roast, carving, salat vanessa, hearty and sweet pancakes, barley dishes, goose at the time of goose; all tasted at a good time and consistently found for very good. but contempt: one should bring great hunger. the portions are huge! Price/quality ratio is totally.The service staff is also very friendly. when entering the restaurant you will be greeted by the host ede personally - if this does not run straight in the kitchen or in the camp. on Sundays and celebrations, when the restaurant is extremely well visited (table reserve of advantage!), the service ladies will surely return some kilometers while ede makes a super job as barmann. if it is very full, then sometimes you wait a little longer for eating. the quality then makes it up for again.Advantage for dog owners: four-legged can be in the restaurant!!! I always like to come here, whether with family or friends and have recommended good wolfsaap to all people - with success! I can only put a visit to the heart of everyone."

"I must admit, German-Greek is not often worth talking about, but there are exceptions!Meltemi is very fresh, modern take on Greek cuisine. You can still get pommes and kraut salad with your moussaka if you must, but I hope you don't!Everything is prepared fresh from fresh ingredients and there is a lite, modern flare to the traditional (and not so traditional dishes).We had several wonderful starters, including the zucchini puffs, and then I had the fresh chicken breast, with wonder red-wine souse. My wife had the moussaka and my son a chicken souvlaki -- everyone was happy (even me -- and I was prepared to be grumpy about eating heavy, "pommesbude" quality Greek, but surprise!).The atmosphere is clean and modern; the service was great and the wine list well thought out and well priced.In fact, everything was well priced for the quality and preparation put into it.The online reservation system is also a pleasant surprise (particularly since Mein deutsch ist immer noch schrecklich!)We'll definitely be back and I look forward to trying their salads."

"ca del re is a great small Italian restaurant, just a few kilometers from the airport. it is located in Unterrath, directly on the main road in a residential area. As soon as they enter, they can see that it is very popular among the locals. they serve a great looking pizza, but I chose two of the daily dishes, jakobsmusks on spinat with a sauce on a champagne basis, followed by a calfs liver dish from venetion. both were delicious. they serve home wines of excellent quality, and we know them best. they offer a good selection of matching weeping and the opportunity to try before the selection. all in all they were friendly, efficient and helpful. I will definitely come back to my next visit. there are people who can speak English. they should be booked if they want to go on Friday or at the weekend, and they are closed on Mondays. a word of warning. as in many German locations no credit cards are accepted."

"Auf Empfehlung von Freunden waren wir hier. Service sehr freundlich aber nicht immer sehr aufmerksam: habe Grauburgunder bestellt, es kam Weißburgunder. Muscheln spanische Art: wird mit Mozzarella angeboten?! Habe deshalb gebeten, Mozzarella wegzulassen, stattdessen mit Chilli. Muscheln kamen ohne Schale, fester Biss, also entweder nicht frisch oder totgekocht. Soße geschmacklich gut. Schweineschnitzel mit Pfeffersoße: wird paniert mit Soße übergossen angeboten, deshalb natur bestellt. Überhaupt werden alle Schnitzelvarianten paniert serviert und entweder mit Soße und Beilage überzogen oder überbacken. Leider eine Unart, denn die Pannade wird matschig. Na ja, wer so was mag. Schnitzel eher recht dünn. Pfeffersoße war schon eine Zumutung. Sehr pampig. Geschmacklich richtig schlecht. Resümee: Leider sehr bescheiden. Da kann man wo anders zu niedrigeren Preisen sehr viel besser essen."

"Read the reviews and thought we would try it... food was poor, portion sizes tiny ... BBQ ribs in black bean was tiny very tiny) bits of bone with no meat on, a little sauce , on a bed of rice. Without the rice...it was nothing. euro for a coke sounds ok but the glasses were tiny... one mouthful and your drink was over. Beef with vegetables... small bite size mouthful of beef and the stalk end of some Bok Choi .. We left hungry and disappointed! We explained how disappointed we were with the food, he did not care! Just gave us the bill! They also try to demand cash only ... when we said card only they suddenly found a card machine! If this is the best local place in Dusseldorf then I am amazed as it was pretty poor. I can’t recommend you even try it... forget it and go somewhere else..."

"Somehow, we have only just discovered Simon's event though it is only a very short walk from where we have lived for twenty years. The menu is basically Italian and features all the standards, but there is also a very interesting weekly menu of specials...such as game ravioli with sage butter and vegetables, and gurnard (Roter Knurrhahn) with sun dried tomatoes, capers, olives and spaghetti aglio olio. We especially like the Klein aber fein menu of small dishes which make an excellent tapas-style dinner. My top recommendation is the charcuterie and cheese platter: accompanied by a bottle of excellent Metzger Duett wine it makes an excellent light dinner."

"Wir waren gestern Abend spontan hier und wurden angenehm überrascht: der Service durch die Chefin des Hauses war sehr nett und sowohl das Essen als auch die Getränke waren sehr gut. Auf der Tageskarte findet man aktuell viele Wildgerichte alles frisch vom befreundeten Jäger wie uns die Chefin versicherte. Also haben wir uns für die Wildbolognese und das Hirschgulasch entschieden und als drittes Hauptgericht die Dorade von der normalen Speisekarte ausgewählt. Alle drei Gerichte waren top! Vorweg haben wir uns zwei unterschiedliche Antipasti Variationen geteilt ebenfalls sehr lecker! Komisch, dass das Restaurant an einem Freitag trotz der sehr guten Qualität nur halb gefüllt war. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Ach ja, auch das Preis Leistungsverhältnis passt: 112€ für drei Personen mit Vor , Hauptspeise, einem Nachtisch und Getränken."
