"what looks like taking away pizzeria when they get through the doorway actually leads to a large spacious restaurant behind. beside a rather extensive pizza menu there was also a good choice of antipasta and pasta dishes and for our visit. there were some good specificities on the wall mounted chalkboard. I went for the caprese to start, and the pizza fruti di mare and both were very good, and most of our party were complementary to their choice. the restaurant was quite full on this weekday and the service levels were sometimes a bit tense, but in fairness there were 21 of us in our group and there was also a large group in the front part of the restaurant. a little negatiw was not an Italian beer, but I will forgive them that and all that was a more pleasant visit."

"I wasn’t expecting to find any vegan options and was pleasantly surprised by the vegan and vegetarian breakfast options. The food was great not too oily And the portion was generous. I had a decaf oat milk latte and was not disappointed. The staff are friendly and I would definitely visit again."

"Das angegebene Ende der Öffnungszeit ( "Open end") ist ein Witz. Bereits um kurz vor Mitternacht wird man hier mit 4 Personen an einem Freitagabend nicht mehr hereingelassen. Die Begründung " man habe schon "Last Order " ausgerufen (obwohl das Lokal gut besucht war) und "um 8 Uhr morgens sei ja schon wieder geöffnet " ist absolut lächerlich. Anscheinend hat man es als Betreiber eines Extrablatt nicht nötig seine Gäste vernünftig zu behandeln. Man kann diesem Betrieb nur das Schicksal seines Vorgängers wünschen . Da war nach kurzer Zeit schon wieder Schluss.Mich wird man hier nicht wiedersehen , zumal das Speisenangebot auch nicht mehr bietet als alle anderen Fritteusenlokale !"

"Beautiful restaurant located in a former greenhouse, which is actually still very green with lots of plants and trees covering the aisles and the roof it feels a little bit like having lunch or dinner in a jungle. The restaurant is famous for it's Mongolian buffet, which offers a variety of meat and vegetables either cooked or uncooked. You can choose between filling up your plate with steaming food or watching the cook roast it at any time. There is also a sushi, a salat and a dessert bar. The food itself is average not bad, but not brilliant either. It's just to it's price, if you have one or two drinks, you will leave below 20EUR. The service is good, most waiters are polite and tables are cleared regularly. Definitely worth a visit, and if it wasn't so far out, I'd probably go here more often."

"Es war eher ein Zufallstreffer, vorm Konzert im ICE-Dom wollten wir gerne Essen gehen, haben in der Nähe ein Restaurant gesucht und uns dann für die Trattoria La Contadina entschieden – eine gute Wahl, wie sich dann herausstellte.Der Tisch war vorher telefonisch reserviert und stand für uns bereit, als wir dort ankamen. Sofort ins Auge fiel der Pizzaofen, der traditionell mit offenem Feuer beheizt wird, findet man nicht mehr so häufig bei uns in Deutschland. Wir wurden nett und freundlich begrüßt. Die Karte ist ansprechend, alles frisch, außerdem wurden wir auf einige Tagesangebote hingewiesen. Vorab gab es Buscetta, als Hauptgang haben uns für selbstgemachte Nudeln mit Filetstreifen und Pizza aus dem Ofen entscheiden. Vorspeise und Hauptgerichte waren sehr gut – lecker, wie wir das aus vielen Aufenthalten in Italien kennen. Außerdem gab es frisch gezapftes Birra Peroni vom Fass, schmeckt gezapft super lecker, bekommt man allerdings - genauso wie Moretti - sonst meist nur in der Flasche. Der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich, wie haben uns wohl gefühlt in der Trattoria La Contadina und sind beim nächsten Besuch in D’dorf bestimmt wieder dort."

"We were staying at theHotel Haus Kronenthal next door and needed a nice place to take our family to for a lunch. Upon entering we were greeted with a smile and shown to our table. The staff helped the elderly who were dinning with taking...their coats off. Menu's are NOT in English only German. However, that is not a problem as the restaurant will find someone on staff to help translate. The staff will make themselves understood and help you with your selection. But, still bring your German dictionary if you are not good at German. The place was inviting, clean and well presented. Drinks were served promptly and the order was taken. When the food came, it is very good. You need to try something from the game menu. You will not be disappointed. Sides included seasonal vegetables and of course potatoes. You can substitute the type of potato you want by only asking. Half portions are available for those who can not eat a full portion or for the child who does not want to order off the children menu. Service is included in the price, but tipping is appreciated for very good or excellent service by rounding. Parking is available next door which is shared with the hotel or across the street. I would highly recommend eating at Cedric's when in Ratingen"

"battera is a secret tip in düsseldorf. a small, original Japanese locally with excellent eating. only 22 places and so fast at midday. why is not difficult to guess: eating is excellent, pure, fresh and original Japanese. Just try the free bowl suppe they get to eat: a deliciously strong broth. düsseldorf has the largest “Japan Town” in the world (outside japans,) so if a Japanese local is good there, it must be good. "Heute Abend blieb die Küche kalt. Wir haben uns kurzfristig entschlossen eine Kleinigkeit zu holen. 2x Pommes Special, 2x Currywurst und 2x Kipcorn... Wirklich eine üppige Portion und geschmacklich hervorragend Ohne Bedenken kann man hier wirklich nichts falsch machen. Für fast jeden Geschmack gibt es eine gute Auswahl und Abwechslung. Für Ortsunkundige wie mich, muß ich gestehen, es ist zwar wirklich einfach zu finden, aber ohne meine Bekannten hätte ich nicht geglaubt, dass sich in der Siedlung ein so guter Imbiss befindet. "We had a delicious birthday dinner with six people. We had a nice corner table. Their rose and Pino Grigio eines are excellent. We ordered spinach I pizza, fruiti di Mare pizza with cheese, Quattro frommagi pizza, garlic pasta, fruiti di mare pasta and salad with turkey fillet. Everything was fresh, hot, and high quality. We ate everything last bite. Dinner included complimentary bruschetta and schnapps. We have been here quite a few times and it is consistent,!including the service..wonderful."

"We ordered the standard Italian fare. Pizza brotchen, tagliatelle with housemade pesto sauce and a Diavolo Pizza. We ordered it all to go and it was ready in about 20 minutes. It is not superior Italian food nor is it terrible. I'd call it just average. The outdoor seating looks like the place to go as it was very crowded."

"Very good restaurant with a wide variety of dishes. Went there with a group of 12 and we were all very satisfied with the quality of the dishes. Service was quite quick and the waiter was very friendly and patient (which is needed when taking orders from a group of 12).Appetizers and main dishes did not disappoint. Meat as well as fish dishes were flavorful and well prepared. I would have given this restaurant 5 stars had the wines not been disappointing. We tried 2 different Italian wines (recommended by the waiter) but I found them to be disappointing and too expensive for what they were. Other than that, no negative remarks whatsoever.If you're looking for a good Italian restaurant in Ratingen, this is it."
