"We were visiting the cooking class Street Food Italiano. At the beginning there were mandatory cappuccino, espresso or classic coffee to know. Further in the kitchen there was an overview of the dishes and their preparation. The ingredients used, consisting of seafood, fish, meat and vegetables, were carefully compiled and of very high quality. Ervin gave a variety of tips, creating a good exchange and understanding of the preparation. It has been very much fun to cook with other participants and exchange ideas. The food was just excellent. A new interpretation of Italian cuisine! Also a great experience for companies or larger groups!"

"Meine Freundin und ich haben am 23.03.2017 das neue Restaurant Gustos im Golfclub Hösel ausprobiert. Der anfängliche erste Eindruck eines gepflegten und wunderbar beleuchteten Golfplatzes ließ unsere Vorfreude auf das Clubhaus sofort steigen. Das Restaurant ist leider alles andere als gemütlich und riesig mit vielen Tischen ähnlich einer gehobenen Großraum-Kantine besserer Einrichtung. Die Beleuchtung war grell und konnte leider nicht dem Abend entsprechend gedimmt werden, sodass die Teelichter auf den Tischen völlig überflüssig wirkten bzw. im Licht der Decke verschwanden. Viele Tische sollen reserviert gewesen sein als wir um 19:30Uhr das Restaurant betraten unser Wunschtisch am Fenster blieb den ganzen Abend frei. Was man dazu sagen muss, er war für sechs Personen eingedeckt, wir waren zu zweit. Aus gastronomischer Sicht kann man das entschuldigen allerdings blieb der Tisch den ganzen Abend frei. Wir hatten an einen romantischen Abend mit schöner Golfplatzbeleuchtung und gepflegtem Ambiente gedacht. Nun mussten wir einen Platz in zweiter Reihe an der Kellner-Autobahn bzw. dem Gang in Kauf nehmen.Von Gemütlichkeit keine SpurDer Service des Personals war von Beginn an aufmerksam, höflich und stimmig wie wir ihn aus dem alten Restaurant am Reitstall gewohnt waren. Aus den Lautsprechern des Restaurant hatten wir uns leises "Geklimper" klassischer Natur vorgestellt, nicht aber die Berichterstattung zu den Terroranschlägen in London, das Wetter und die Stauschau von 1Live! Normalerweise ist es auch meine Freundin die einem Restaurant friert, dieses Mal ist es mir aufgefallen das es zog und kalt war. Dies veranlasste uns zu überlegen ob wir nicht doch noch einmal den Platz wechseln wollten, auch wenn wir zu diesem Zeitpunkt bereits Brot und dreierlei Aufstriche, auch unseren Aperitif vor uns stehen hatten. Von anderen Gästen haben wir dezenter mitbekommen, dass es auch anderswo frisch sei und so blieben wir an unserem Tisch sitzen.Meine Freundin hat eine Suppe als Vorspeise und einen Salat als Hauptgang, der eigentlich auf der Mittagskarte stand ausgewählt was absolut kein Problem darstellte. Das haben wir als sehr flexibel und gastorientiert empfunden. Ich habe das Tour de Menu - Menu Nummer 2 ohne Suppe bestellt. Das Restaurant in unserem Teil nahe der Theke war mäßig gefüllt, im hinteren Teil des Gastraumes schien eine Veranstaltung stattgefunden zu haben. Lange Wartezeiten zwischen den Gängen waren leider eine etwas unangenehme Folge und so nahmen wir vorlieb mit einer zweiten, sogar dritten Runde Brot welches uns auf Anfrage problemlos nachserviert worden ist.Schön wiederum, dass meiner Freundin ebenfalls ein Zitronen-Sorbet gereicht wurde, welches eigentlich nur Bestandteil meines Menus war. Wie bereits erwähnt war das Personal pfiffig und aufmerksam. Die Qualität der Speisen war gut und auch das Auge hat sich daran erfreut. Leider haben das andere Gäste anders empfunden was seitens der Gäste und des Personals nicht wirklich leise reklamiert und besprochen wurde. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis hat sich meiner Empfindung nach dem Umfeld des Golfplatzes angepasst, ist teurer geworden. Service und Speisen würde ich für gut empfinden, Ambiente und Atmosphäre ausreichend bis tatsächlich mangelhaft. Wir haben uns dazu entschieden den Abend nachzuholen wenn der Sommer Einzug gehalten hat und die Terrasse vielleicht ihren Teil einer besseren Erfahrung beiträgt."

"A friend and I were staying at the Maritim Hotel near DUS airport and we were looking for a decent restaurant which was close by and open. I read on the Website and on Google that the Bei Stefan was Open until 11PM, so we took a taxi and arrived at 9:15PM. We entered the restaurant only to be told that they are closing. I said "according to your website and Google you are open until 11PM" to which they replied "but the kitchen closes at 10PM". That conversation took place at 9:15PM!!! Did they lose track of the time??? We walked out in disbelief after spending 10.50 euro on a taxi to get there. Flushing my money down the toilet at the hotel would have been easier and would have spared us the walk back. This is the epitome of "bad business". Please note that this review has nothing to do with the food (which we never got the chance to try)"

"Wir gehen immer in Ratingen zu Notos, wenn wir einen Griechen besuchen moechten.Das Restaurant ist modern, die Bedienung supernett. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet. Waehrend man in der Innenstadt in Ratingen beim Bifteki Tiefkuehlkost erwarten muss, gibt es dies hier frisch. Und gerade beim Hackfleisch wuerde ich immmer hingucken. Wir essen hier immer Tiganaki, Kartoffelscheiben, das Mussaka ist top, gibt es als "Tapa", so dass man noch etwas anderes essen kann (6,50 Euro). Die Preise sind zivil, Glas Wein 4,90 fuer 0,2, Sekt fuer 4,10 fuer 0,1l.Wir gehen wieder hin, man muss nicht immmer gross essen gehen, auch ein paar Kleinigkeiten kann man dort essen."

"I must admit, German-Greek is not often worth talking about, but there are exceptions!Meltemi is very fresh, modern take on Greek cuisine. You can still get pommes and kraut salad with your moussaka if you must, but I hope you don't!Everything is prepared fresh from fresh ingredients and there is a lite, modern flare to the traditional (and not so traditional dishes).We had several wonderful starters, including the zucchini puffs, and then I had the fresh chicken breast, with wonder red-wine souse. My wife had the moussaka and my son a chicken souvlaki -- everyone was happy (even me -- and I was prepared to be grumpy about eating heavy, "pommesbude" quality Greek, but surprise!).The atmosphere is clean and modern; the service was great and the wine list well thought out and well priced.In fact, everything was well priced for the quality and preparation put into it.The online reservation system is also a pleasant surprise (particularly since Mein deutsch ist immer noch schrecklich!)We'll definitely be back and I look forward to trying their salads."

"Due to a fair being on in town we couldn’t utilise any of our usual hotels close to Dusseldorf and found ourselves stuck out in the sticks and instead of our usual trip to the Altstadt were faced with an exciting evening in Ratingen. And...although we were not expecting much, am very happy to report the Ratinger Brauhaus proved us wrong. It’s deceptively larger than it looks from the outside. You enter into the main dining room with some brewing kit at the far end and the bar to the right. But then to the right of the central bar are two equally large dining room areas. Nearly every space was occupied when we rocked up around on this midweek evening but full marks to the Brauhaus for squeezing a party of in within minutes or so. It was the usual traditional meat heavy menu with a focus on pork as you get in Brahauses, with the odd fish dish thrown in. And the five different dishes we tried between us were all good. The Ratinger Alt was also surprisingly good and there was certainly no argument from me when three glasses of this and my pork Knuckle came to euro’s. I may have to come to Ratingen more often!"

"ca del re is a great small Italian restaurant, just a few kilometers from the airport. it is located in Unterrath, directly on the main road in a residential area. As soon as they enter, they can see that it is very popular among the locals. they serve a great looking pizza, but I chose two of the daily dishes, jakobsmusks on spinat with a sauce on a champagne basis, followed by a calfs liver dish from venetion. both were delicious. they serve home wines of excellent quality, and we know them best. they offer a good selection of matching weeping and the opportunity to try before the selection. all in all they were friendly, efficient and helpful. I will definitely come back to my next visit. there are people who can speak English. they should be booked if they want to go on Friday or at the weekend, and they are closed on Mondays. a word of warning. as in many German locations no credit cards are accepted."

"Went there for the second time now after missed it for new years eve. Unfortunately it is still true that you can only pay cash but you get most for it.First talking about drinks, they have alcohol free beer as well as local Altbier from one of the top small breweries in Duesseldorf, and the glass is Euro 1,60. This makes it worth a visit already. The connection to the beer comes from the past, the place used to be a pub before they converted it into a restaurant.The place itself looks like a stylish restaurant without the usual Greek decoration you can find in Germany, this is very pleasent and gives it a good atmoshpere.Talking about the food, it is just great. We usually order a mixed starter that we share with 4 and a main dish each, we are staffed afterwards, however, the portions are not as exaggerated as you can find in similar restaurants. They also serve warm bread with a great spread for it. The salads are huge and the goat cheese is special. They fry it so it becomes crispy. We tried mainly the grilled platters and they are done well with taking good meat to do it.Of course you get the ouzo to finish. Calculate around Euro 100 for a party of 4 having a shared starter and a couple of beers."

"Wir gehen regelmäßig zu Cedrics. Nur leider war es diesmal nicht so toll. Wieder mal. Es ist keine Konstante in der Küche. Nette Bedienung, sehr bemüht. Nach der Vorspeise, die relativ schnell kam, mussten wir 1,5 Std. auf die Hauptspeise warten. Das ist zuviel. Vor allem, da es nur Kurzgebratenes mit Pommes, Bratkartoffeln, Salat war. Und dann war das Essen auch nur noch lauwarm. Bei den doch inzwischen sehr hohen Preisen geht sowas gar nicht. Schade. Wahrscheinlich unser letzter Besuch."

"What a great find! I came here with 4 work colleagues, two of which were vegetarian, and all of us ate like kings. Our waiter (a greek gentlemen) did not seem to speak either German or English, so we did a fair bit of explaining...and hand waving before he got our order, but from then on he looked after us very well. He even brought us a round of Ouzo shots on the house! We had a mixed appetizer with roasted red peppers, a cheese dip, a pinkish dip I guessed to be taramosalata, and other tasty stuff everything was delicious. For mains we had the souvlaki plate, the vegetarian souffle (not a souffle as I know it, more like a vege bake), the moussaka, the calamari, and other stuff I can't remember. All the servings were huge, and everything was very tasty. The souvlaki plate meat seemed a bit dry, but that's the only negative I can think of. All of 5 of us left full and happy, and the bill came to just over 100 euros that's 20 euros a head including drinks. Great Value!"

"Das Talschlösschen ist schon eine besondere Location. Ob nun für jeden Tag, auf ein Glas Wein, oder für Familienfeste mit einem hervorragendem Buffett . Das Essen und der Service ist ebenfalls top. Genauso wie die regelmäßigen Events, die angeboten werden. Von Musik über Comedey bis hin zu Lesungen, einfach großartig!!!"

"Leider ist der Service dieses Restaurants nicht in der Lage 15 Personen einigermaßen gut zu bewirten. Auf den Aperitif mussten wir fast eine Stunde warten bis alle Personen ihr Getränk hatten. Bis alle ihre Speisen hatten, hat es ewig gedauert. Davon waren von den 15 bestellten Speisen (4 Pizzen, 2 kalte Platten, 9 Nudelgerichte) zwei Pizzen nicht entsprechend der Gästewünsche belegt. Mehrere Nudelgerichte waren kalt. Des Weiteren ließ der Getränkeservice mehr als zu wünschen übrig. Die bestellte(n) Flasche(n) Wein wurde(n) in einem Kühler auf einen entfernten Tisch gestellt, so dass eigenes Nachschenken nur mit aufstehen möglich war. Der Service kam so unregelmäßig und in so großen Abständen das es ärgerlich war. Wir haben im Gästekreis darüber diskutiert das der Service am Getränkeumsatz beteiligt werden sollte um die Gäste versorgt zu halten. Alles in Allem kann ich, können wir dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen. Letztes Jahr haben wir das gleiche dort auch schon erlebt. Schade..."

"I had dinner in Haus Langhardton 9th Dec. with family and friend because it is near my company. At beginning it was ok, and my two-years-old daughter got a baby chair. Unfortunately, we soon became the only table of that night and the waiters kept staring at us. They interrupted us 4-5 times to stop my daughter touching things from restaurant: my daughter looked up at a decoration they stopped her very rude. But she is that small even cannot reach it. There was an empty table beside us. To prevent any damage, I already took away all the cutlery and plates. But when my daughter approached table with nothing on it, the waiters came very angry and annoyed, saying, she is not allowed to touch it! I asked why? there is nothing to break! He said she will mess the table by touching it! The whole we didn't make big noise. And we controlled her always very cautiously. Her behavior was totally in the acceptable range as a normal little toddler.I have never met such rude waiters and unfriendly restaurant. I think they are not prepared to serve any one come with children. I don't recommend this restaurant to family."

"Order food! For years has always been satisfied with the supplied food. There seems to be a new owner. Had a chicken skewer with Pommes Tsaziki salad. It was not a tsaziki, but a dillquark cream I then called to draw attention to the mistake. Open the Pandora's box!! That would be the case with them, and if I had a different taste, I would have a bad luck. When ordered at Mc Donalds, the dishes are also different!! "

"Wir reservierten die Kegelbahn und wurden direkt an der Theke sehr zuvorkommend und herzlich begrüßt. Die Kellnerinnen führten uns daraufhin in den Raum des Geschehens und nahmen die Getränke auf. Nachdem diese bei uns ankamen gab uns die Kellnerin noch ein wenig Bedenkzeit bei der Wahl des Gerichtes, da sich nach 10 Minuten "immer" noch nicht alle entschieden hatten;-). Was ich als sehr angenehm empfand war, dass alle Essen gleichzeitig oder mit keiner größeren Verzögerung ankamen, sodass alle gemeinsam anfangen konnten zu speisen. Ich hatte die Tapas Platte für eine Person und diese war wirklich sehr sehr lecker und auch sättigend... Andere Gäste schwärmten von den Steaks. Das werde ich dann bei meinem nächsten Besuch beurteilen können. Nach dem Essen gingen wir zum sportlichen Teil der Veranstaltung über...die Kellnerinnen fragten zwischendurch immer nach unserem Befinden, waren aber nicht zu aufdringlich. Wir fühlten uns sehr gut aufgehoben. Als kleines Manko würde ich das Interieur aufzählen, was ein wenig altertümlich ins Auge sticht...ist natürlich auch Geschmackssache..manche mögen es etwas "holziger" manche eher "modern". Ansonsten konnte ich nicht meckern.. Der Service war aufmerksam und angenehm, das Essen sehr lecker...Das Lokal bildete den perfekten Ort für meinen Geburtstag...Ich würde es ohne Bedenken weiterempfehlen. Bis zum nächsten Mal.
