"My husband and I were staying here in December for the Christmas markets. We dined in the restaurant after our Christmas market activity. Our waitress was lovely and welcoming and the food was delicious for our first night in Germany! What was nice was that all we had to do was walk upstairs after dinner. Our breakfast the next morning was fine as well. There could have been a bit more variety but it was fine."

"Das Motto des Kolpinghauses Das ist gar kein Problem! Wir haben im Oktober 2023 unsere Hochzeit im Kolpinghaus gefeiert und können nur sagen: Es hätte nicht besser laufen können! Die Location und das Essen sind bei jeder Hochzeit ein großer Punkt, der einem die Nerven rauben oder die Hochzeitsvorbereitungen deutlich erleichtern kann. Bei uns war ganz klar zweiteres der Fall. Jede Rückfrage und jeder Wunsch (z.B. ein komplett veganes Buffet und Sektempfang mit veganen Häppchen) war kein Problem. Ein großes Lob geht an Frau Daka und ihr Team, die uns die Zeit vor der Hochzeit und den Tag selbst sehr vereinfacht haben. Der Kontakt war schnell, zuverlässig und stets freundlich. Die Angestellten zuvorkommend und kompetent. Das Essen war super lecker, vielfältig und hat alle überzeugt. Ich kann jedem, der eine große Veranstaltung plant, das Kolpinghaus Regensburg nur ans Herz legen! Vielen lieben Dank, dass Ihr uns einen so schönen und unkomplizierten Tag bereitet habt!"

"I really feel this place has potential to be really good. We had two bbq platters, then one for one person and the two person one. When it comes to portions, they nailed it. Saying the portion is huge is an understatement. The problem here is the quality and taste of the food. Half of the food was great, the other half bad. Ribs were soft and flavorful, but the steak was bland. Pulled port was fresh and juicy, but the pastrami brisket was overcooked and meh. Curly fries delicious, regular ones hard and overcooked. The cole slaw was absolutely horrible. The burger was ok, not bad but not great. The strawberry cheese was delicious but not true American cheesecake. I have no idea how they made half of everything great and the other have bad. As for service, the waiter was friendly but food took a bit to come out even though when we arrived there were only a few people there. It did get busy later on. If they fixed their consistency on food quality, this would be a legit good place to get American inspired BBQ."

"We've visited the place at a late Saturday evening with a couple of friends. The positive part was the easy parking and the very attentive waitress, plus the quick service. Negative: The pizza was a bit too thin and had a small amount of toppings. The restaurant still had a stocked ice cream counter in the middle of winter, so maybe that might be the main product."

"Italienisches Restaurant mit toller Speisenauswahl, aber im eher rustikalen 80er Jahre Ambiente. Auch die Preispolitik bei den Hauptgerichten (Beilagen müssen alle extra bezahlt werden) und den Vorspeisen ist nicht immer nachvollziehbar, die Gerichte eher im oberen Preissegment angesiedelt, aber lecker außer die Hähnchenbrust für etwa 20 Euro ohne Beilagen, die war leider viel zu trocken und komplett ohne Sauce. Das selbstgebackene Brot ist super, die gemischte Vorspeisenplatte sowie die Pizza ebenfalls. Sitzplätze sind innen und außen verfügbar, Parkplätze allerdings knapp. Toll sind der Gruß aus der Küche zu Beginn und der Absacker am Ende des Essens."

"Very disappointing experience. Already when I came in I got suspicious as everybody spoke Vietnamese and not Thai. On the table for seasoning Japanese soy sauce and Indonesian Chili paste. It is not difficult to get Thai seasoning in Germany, but it seems as if...they took their Thai cooking lessons by a cook book and just throw in pan what sounded similar. Ordered one of my favorite Thai dishes, Phad Thai and it was terrible. My wife had a curry, almost as disappointing as the Phad Thai."

"We have always been here in the last 15 years. It was one of the best restaurants in Regensburg. Unfortunately, a lot has changed lately. This time it was a pure disaster! At first the operation has already brought the wrong water, instead of the carafe ordered it brought some one bottle. The naval dip on which we had been so happy as a main dish was panned! When we mentioned that we were not so satisfied today, we were asked during our complaint whether we might want a dessert. That's why we've ordered some papal ham with blueberries. The blueberries presented us the slightly dominant operation then as raspberries. The difference between blueberries and raspberries was apparently unknown. The dessert was also on account. But we had made it so clear during the complaint that it should be a small excuse for the unsettled navy. After the restaurant is now called by Michelin, you obviously don't get so much trouble. What a shame!"

We had reserved a week before online at 4 p.m. With the request to get a place in the upper floor on the window. Service: We were there at 4 pm and were kindly received and led by a young operator. Then she brought a colleague who asked us to wait a moment. On our window there were some waiting for them, and my friend was slowly somewhat impatient, as the guests had very time and he was already very hungry. I made it easy. But I found it badly organized right now. Until I was in the square and saw that our reservation was on a sign at 4:00. At the moment I felt the other guests as very rude. They knew the place was reserved from 4:00, then read them asking and need 5 minutes to move on the jackets and finally go. We sat down, and she quickly took off the old dishes, and we went over the table and brought us new table sets. She was friendly and we had a good mood from her. We looked good all night. My friend always looks a little sceptical about this Cola bottle with straw. I think he wants a glass of it. He didn't say anything yet. But usually he always removes the straw. Food: As described above. We ordered a menu each. This consists of 2 drinks, 2 coffees and a burger and a supplement. My friend ordered the “Hans im Glück Burger” double meat and later coffee. I took the salad coffee “Gorgonzola Burger”. The food came to our table after 10 minutes, although it was quite full. We both liked that. Especially because my friend was hungry. I started the salad. It was a leaf salad with pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and a sprout mixture with a mustard honey vinaigrette. She tasted a little mad, but also sweet. She tasted really good. I couldn't choose. But not asking. My burger was with sourdough bread. My treasure chose all the grain bread. I wanted to try this once, but I had to say that the whole grain bread tasted better. That was my second visit. Then I bite the burger. Very delicious. The meat tasted sharply, but one still tasted the taste of the meat. The salad was crispy and delicious. Gorgonzola there was a small tupfer cream on it. It tasted delicious, but I expected more Gorgonzola taste. It was pretty lazy. And there was something missing. But this is now at a high level. Because otherwise the burger was really delicious. Then my treasure and I were well saturated. We would have liked to come back, but later more. Finally, we have ordered another dessert for both of us. And asked us to bring two spoons. Warm chocolate cake with cream and ice cream (see photo). It was beautifully dressed and the chocolate cake was actually still warm and schokoladig really nicely schokoladig. I liked that very well. I only made 2-3 spoons. My treasure then ate the rest with ice and ice. Besides, we had our coffee. This time we got him to the table together. Last time it was slightly delayed. Ambience: A fairy tale new, fresh and modern interpretation. Pear trunks decorate the premises and separate the tables corners from each other. We sat on two benches in front of the window. We're both very big, 1,90m and 2,00m, and we always have to talk something under the table. And the benches have no life, that's a shame. But if you sit first. It's cozy. You can see directly from the window on the coal market and the tower from the old town hall in Regensburg. But at 5:00 the caps are always dimmed. This makes a so cozy mood. The lamps are already warm light there and then it becomes even more torn and cozy. Some walls are in gold wallpapers and there are very nice there. I find the concept harmonious and very beautiful. Cleanliness: Yes, unfortunately there was again a lot of toilet paper on the floor. I didn't care. Otherwise it was brightly clean. There were also paper towels to dry. Otherwise it was completely clean everywhere. I was very happy. Price/performance: We paid almost 30,00€ for everything. I thought it was wrong. That's all I have to say. "Wir waren zu zweit an einem späten Sonntag Abend, relativ spontan zu Gast. Wir saßen draußen, da es ein schöner warmer Sommerabend war. Ich hab mich kurz vorher schlau gemacht, wo man in Reg. gut italienisch essen kann, weil ich aus München bin. Immer wieder erstaunlich, wie sinnvoll diese App ist. Ich denke dass wir vom Besitzer selbst bedient wurden. Ein sehr freundlicher, witziger und selbstsicherer Gastgeber. Absolut souverän, auf Weinfragen, etc. geantwortet. Wir hatten aufgrund massiven Durstes erstmal jeder zwei Weinschorle. Nach dieser war bereits klar, das wir hier in keinem 0815 Italiener sind. Sehr gut und kein Billigwein, selbst in der Schorle. Anschließend gab es Tomatensalat mit Thunfisch und Zwiebeln, sowie Rindercarpaccio und ein vorzügliches in streifen geschnittenes Pizzabrot. Da kann man sich reinsetzen. Zum Hauptgang gab es einmal Pasta mit Pilzen und Wildschweinragout für die Holde und Pizza mit Gorgonzola, Salami und Grünkohl (ja ernsthaft) für mich. Ich muss jetzt mal sagen, dass wir a) gerne italienisch essen und b) viel italienisch essen. Aber so eine Pizza bekommt man leider selten. Ich denke dass sie die Pizza auf neapolitanische Art zubereiten. Der Teig ist so unglaublich frisch, saftig, knusprig, einfach ein Traum. Alles in allem: Service top, Essen top, Ambiente normal bis gut ( für die Baustelle nebenan können die nichts), Preis/Leistung top. Hingehen !"

"Zu Beginn im fast leeren Restaurant, was jetzt um 18.30 an sich normal war, irgendwie komische und triste Stimmung, was durch die Musik, die einmal aus, einmal an, dann zu laut, dann fast gar nicht hörbar mit Liedern, die zu sehr die Aufmerksamkeit auf sich zogen, nicht besser wurde. Das Überrschungsmenü an sich sehr lecker, aber komisch war, dass nach dem Hauptgericht mit Fleisch nach fast einer halben Stunde noch ein üppiges Risotto kam, was uns letztendlich noch lange im Magen lag. Vielleicht war das Problem auch, dass zum ersten Gang zu viel Brot, Butter, usw. serviert wurde. Man hält sich ja nicht zurück, wenn man nicht weiß was noch kommt. Warum hier nicht was Frisches, leichtes oder eine kleine Nachspeise als letzter Gang? Wir waren wohl selbst schuld, uns für das Überrschungsmenü entschieden zu haben. Insofern leider kein Wohlfühlabend wie erhofft."

"Habe was zum mitnehmen abgeholt. Es wurde wenig mit mir gesprochen und kaum ein lächeln gezeigt. Meine Bestellung musste ich 2-3 mal wiederholen, aber war auch schon spät vll. lag's daran. Parken war ein bisschen blöd, lieber zu Fuß kommen oder in den Seitenstraßen schauen, ob man was findet. Der Döner war okay, aber das Brot war sehr durchgeweicht und das Fleisch recht fad und labbrig. Konnte man schon essen, war keine Vollkatastrophe, aber für den Preis kriegt man eindeutig bessere Döner in Regensburg. Vielleicht haben wir auch nur einen schlechten Tag erwischt. Mal sehen, was der nächste Besuch mit sich bringt."

"Ein schönes, großes Restaurant. Waren am Mittag dort und es war gut besucht. Zu den guten Dingen: Das Personal war freundlich und das Essen war genügend warm. Negativ war, dass das Essen selten nachgefüllt wurde. Wenn es nachgefüllt wurde, war es dürftig befüllt und die einzelnen Fleischstücke sahen nicht zum anbeißen aus..! (Teilweise sah das Essen ein bisschen aus wie zerfetztes Fleisch) Ebenfalls nicht schön war, dass die Chefin vor mehreren Gästen eine Mitarbeiterin auf chinesisch sehr forsch angegangen ist und wild gestikuliert hat. Die Bedienung wirkte so als ob sie erst neu dabei ist. Unschön und gehört sich nicht! Ich werde wieder zu den alt bekannten Chinatempeln gehen.."

"Random choice for us. The fountain setting and musicians caused me to pick up the menu. Wide variety of several food styles with a lot of Vegan options. I had the kebob platter and my wife the Balkan platter. Servings of grilled spinach, salad, bulger and the souvlaki style meats with tziki and humus.
