"I visited Koh Thai in Ringwood on Monday 21 October 2019 in the early evening, a weekday during term time. I was with four other people. This was my first visit to the Ringwood restaurant though I have previously visited the Koh Thai restaurants in Bournemouth and Lilliput. I used Google Maps to find the restaurant, which was easy and led me straight to the right place. I parked in the street nearby the restaurant parking was easy. Whilst the parking arrangements aren't immediately clear you can park in the main high street after 6/7pm check the parking restrictions carefully! The restaurant comprises of one fairly large sized main dining area with plenty of tables with full table service. The team were very friendly and welcoming and I had no issues we got everything we expected in good time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I enjoyed a mix of dishes including vegetable spring rolls, crispy shredded chilli beef, chicken satay, sweetcorn cakes and coconut rice. The food arrived hot, was well presented and tasted really good. There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me easily. The food was reasonably good value for money, I paid around £30 including and drinks. The restaurant automatically added a service charge to the bill, which is cheeky, though they did clearly point this out on the receipt and made us aware of this verbally. I personally believe that tipping for good service should be entirely at the customers discretion and there should be no pressure by the restaurant or assumption on their part this is a big turn off for me and I believe that the restaurant should reconsider this position. Overall I really enjoyed my visit and would come and visit again."
