Burley Manor - Menu

We would have very much liked a menu so we knew the sandwich fillings

Some interesting touches made this an enjoyable afternoon tea in a nice setting

Booked at the time of eat out to help out, so superb value, a fantastic place for afternoon tea, with more than enough for people. Will definitely return for an evening meal in the future

Lovely afternoon tea. We cleared our plates as everything was delicious. A nice mix of savoury and sweet. We felt safe and considered in relation to social distancing. Quiet ambience and lovely views of the deer in park in front . Will be returning for a special occasion only View menu

Service was extremely poor with a service charge automatically added. Our waiter came out to the terrace to take our drinks order and told us last time for afternoon tea was but we had booked online for he just said the website was wrong. He brought us teapots when we went into the drawing room and some milk but no spoons and no Sugar or food. I Had to go and look for someone to ask for both. The waiter i found was much better and did bring us plates and cutlery and also food. But overall service very poor and overpriced

Poor service. No One explained what the food was or the fillings But we heard this being done for other diners. We had to keep trying to find someone to get extra tea and coffee as no one checked with us. It was a celebration of my retirement and my friends promotion which we confirmed in a call the previous day but nothing was said. They couldn’t even find my booking initially despite it being confirmed the previous day. No apology just seemed to be too much trouble to locate our booking. Even when we refused to pay the service charge added to our bill no one asked us why

Surroundings and location of The Burley Hotel is gorgeous. On a beautiful day there is a great patio area. Had our temperature taken on arrival which was really a good idea. Our pot of tea arrived quite quickly. Then followed later with the tea. Would have liked it all together. The tea was very nice indeed. A bit different from the usual it had a Mediterranean twist to it which was lovely. All beautifully presented. We really enjoyed it. Would have thought for the price a glass of prosecco could have been included as have had many teas out for less money which have included a glass. However it's a really lovely place so taking that into consideration View menu
