"A very nice pub atmosphere with lovely food and a good selection of drink. The staff were very polite and friendly. This was my first visit, but it won't be my last. I understand that they have live music and quizzes; even more of an excuse to return. The home cooked lasagna was really very enjoyable, as was my pint of London Pride."

Such a nice find. Friendly service. Amazing ribs. Sadly we couldn’t stay but they were setting up for live music as we were leaving.

What a pleasant pub. We had a roast dinner and it was lovely food. Lovely meat and crunchy spuds. Delicious gravy and side vegetables were perfect. Nice cauliflower cheese topped off the meal! . Perfect pint of ale too. Well kept ale

Lovely place, beautifully lost in time. Christmas decorations are tastefully done and the place feels cosy and welcoming. Food was nice.vegan burger, lovely patty. Katsu chicken cury reported as divine and the sizzling chicken gorgeous, don't touch for few minutes as hot hot hot.

My daughter has special needs and is a bit of an explorer and is very social. She was wandering around saying hello to everyone singing on the microphone. Everyone there was very understanding and laughing along as she took over the entertainers Mike to sing. Lovely pub full of lovely people, thank you.

"My wife and I went for a meal to celebrate our 25th (Silver) wedding anniversary. Things started ok, ordered the seafood sharing platter for starters. I had a pasta dish, my wife the lamb shank (at £25). The starter came and it was really very good. Here is the end of the good bits! My pasta dish was fine, nothing special, but perfectly fine. However, my wife 's slow cooked lamb which should after 6hrs (as claimed) be falling off the bone, wasn 't. In fact it couldn 't be prised off of it! Unfortunately the waiter or manager checked on us quite soon after our meals were brought out. I said mine was fine but my wife stayed silent as she wasn 't yet sure. But the time I 'd eaten mine, my wife had given up with well over half of the lamb remaining on the bone. When he came over to clear the plates my wife said that she was unable to eat the lamb as it was so tough and sinewy still. He didn 't seem very happy with us for saying anything negative about the food so she demonstrated to him and he finally agreed it shouldn 't be like that and took the plate away. From then on we were pretty much ignored, no apology, no offer of a different dish or anything. After 20 minutes we were asked if we wanted desserts, at first we said yes until we discovered there was nothing we wanted so asked for the bill. He took £9 off the bill for a £25 dish that my wife couldn 't eat. Then when we said that we didn 't expect to pay for that dish he argued with us and said my wife was wrong, there was nothing wrong with it and that it was our fault! Not wishing to completely ruin our anniversary, we paid and went elsewhere for a lovely dessert! We won 't be back! Awful service, rude, arrogant manager, below average food."
