"Conclusion in advance: healthy interior, good regional cuisine, welcome guest rooms, fast and friendly service, a visit is worthwhile. Location: The hotel is located directly on the Bundesstraße 17, which leads through Schwangau for the Navi: Füssener Str. 3, 87645 Schwangau and is well known for its very impressive Lüftlmalerei. The house has limited private, free parking. Occasion: A personal anniversary was the reason for our visit and a reservation by email in the morning was also confirmed very friendly and immediately after the opening. The ambience: Access from the parking lot to the house is quite flat, only a very small step to the main entrance and a normal step into the guest room are to be overcome. The actual guest room is located in a former stable with a barrel vault, which has received a remarkable painting. In addition, there is a small room that was very rustic with wooden panels and wooden ceiling. Another rural area also increases the space for guests. The Allgäuer Umland is treated with all the opposite cow pictures, even the toilets were not spared; and a foot shaker is also decorated by a horn bark. The menu: The menu is available on the Internet [here link] and mainly offers regional dishes. The drink card not listed on the Internet offers a very wide selection, including wines. The beers come from the Scheyern monastery brewery and are very appealing. The service: The two men responsible for the guest room are doing their job with cordiality and fun at work. They realize that they have learned their profession. Beverages: The wheat ordered at 4.30€ 1/2 liter came quite fleeting and well tempered. Also the two espressos at €2.70 and the cappuccino €5.40 came quickly after the order and were not challenged. The food: We had here two times the “crisis 1/4 duck with dumplings and red cabbage” in the daily offer at 15,80 € and the böfflamott yes, that is written! at 15,50 €. Something surprised me about the fast service of the ducks, but obviously they were still from lunch and until 18:30, of course, a bit dry. They were probably better at noon. Tastefully but very well with a sauce that also contained the fat of the ducks, also made hold. The böfflamott was served with a delicious roast sauce, also with the self-made very good red cabbage and a dumpling with “Bröckele” in it. spoon The meat is well swollen and neither too soft nor too hard, perfect. Only this plate decoration with “Streuselpetersilie” is still “old school” but then fits all. Cleanliness: nothing can be complained here either. The tables are covered with runners and the decoration with plastic lion tooth brings spring color into the room. The toilets: Here too there is a well maintained cleanliness, even when you look at the interior of the past. Dark brown current and armor from older times are now given and for an expensive renewal I see no anlas here. The toilets are accessible from the guest room."

"I gave my wife a wellness weekend at the Hotel Rübezahl. In retrospect, I would have given her something different..In the near future, the rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished. Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and also offers many vegetarian and vegan alternativesNow to the less beautiful points: the hotel advertises on every occasion with its outdoor area and the unobstructed view of the royal castles that the outdoor area is being reconstructed and you have more views of all possible building equipment, of course no mention has been made. In advance, I have actively asked for restrictions in the wellness area (e.g. heating the outdoor pools) due to the current energy saving program in Bavaria, which has been negated. At an air temperature of 3° C., the pool was then heated to 20° C., warmer did not go. Too bad, not honest again. Longer than a few minutes you have not stopped without freezing. The outdoor pool was therefore completely empty, as it was not usable. There are relatively few beds in the spa area. If you do not reserve a couch with a towel in the morning before breakfast, we have had bad luck. The fact that it contributes little to relaxation if you have to stay in the spa area is certainly clear. There is a clear capacity problem here. Fun Fact: in the entrance there were small floor parties with other guests who also didn't get a lounge. That was really nice. The same capacity problem is at the bar. If you don't have to eat at 6:00 p.m. and sit at the bar at 8:00 p.m., you don't get any space. You can enjoy the drink in the hotel room. Yeah, you can. To drink alone in his room I don't go to a wellness hotel. The service staff is at most annoyed, blasphemed across other hotel guests and gives you the feeling as if you were a pure burden. My favourite moment: I ordered a coffee and was then confronted with the question “Haferl?” (or so similar). To demand what this is, a horrified "serious"? Coffee in Bavarian?” I'm really sorry I'm not from Bavaria and I'm not familiar with every concept. This Bavarian coffee specialty then cost 6,60€ and was in fact not more than a cup of coffee. For breakfast there is an overview of the evening menu. My wife is a vegetarian and responded to one of the ingredients in the vegetarian dish allergic. Directly after breakfast we pointed out at the reception and we were assured that this was not a problem and that there were sufficient alternatives. At dinner, unfortunately, it looked different, the information never arrived in the kitchen. As an alternative, a Wiener Schnitzel was then proposed, the service power itself noticed that this was not a suitable proposal for a vegetarian. At the end of the story: the alternative dish for my wife was a Wiener Schnitzel with supplement (cookle) without Wiener Schnitzel. Our room was right above the (supplier) entrance. Yeah, I'm aware that a hotel has to be supplied. That from 6:00 a.m., because of the noise of sleep, I can't think about it anymore. Conclusion: much more appearance than being. The price performance ratio is not right here at all, we are talking about a price level of more than 400€/night. We will definitely not come back.(Translated by Google)I gave my wife a wellness weekend at the Hotel Rübezahl for her birthday.
