"So disappointed with the food. We really wanted to love it as the staff were really friendly and nice. I was worried when I heard our pakoras and onion bhaji going in the microwave. They were awful. The chicken was a dark brown colour and had an awful smell I had to spit it out. The bhaji was just like the shop bought ones. Dry, barely any onion and just solid in the middle almost pasty, like uncooked flour. The curry was really bland and didn’t have any flavour.l there was plenty of the chicken though. Rice was ok not terrible not great. The naan bread I’m not sure was home made, it tasted like the ones you get from Asda. The gulab jamun was ok, my first time trying so I have nothing to compare. It was sweet and different. I really wanted to like the rest of then food but it wasn’t great."

"I was looking for somewhere to eat on my way back from work and decided to check out this restaurant on TripAdvisor. The reviews were really positive so I thought I would give it a try. The food was delicious and the waitress was very knowledgeable about food allergies and intolerances. I requested my chicken chow mein without garlic or chili and they were able to accommodate my request. The dish was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. My family member also enjoyed their mixed meat Singapore vermicelli noodles. Overall, it was a great dining experience and we will definitely be returning in the future."

"Always a pleasure to dine here, this was a Sunday and not very busy but probably due to the fact that it has been a very hot day with a lovely evening and most people were probably still outdoors. I had the King prawn Shashlik which as ever was cooked to perfection, my wife had Tandoori chicken which was moist, juicy and full of flavour, there were a few of us and we all enjoyed our meals immensely. Ate here again and had the Shashlik again no complaints. Went again tonight, there has been a noticeable drop in standards lately, mostly when the boss isn 't there. The waiter was loud and a bit rude tonight accusing us of not knowing what we had ordered. Also the food was noticeably of a lower standard to normal. The mild curry sauce that accompanied my non sizzling Tandoori prawn sizzler just had cabbage stem in it. The onions weren 't cooked and there were two measly looking bits of pepper. Last time we were told that the Tandoori chicken had traces of nuts in so our elder member of our party didn 't have it due to his nut allergy but this time we were told by the waiter there were no traces of nuts. He didn 't risk it as he lives near Macclesfield and may have keeled over at the wheel on his way home due to an ill informed waiter. We will not be rushing back unless we can be assured the standards have improved. This review was updated and downgraded on 18.04.2023. Just one more point..there was just us 6 and one party of 2 between 7.00 and 9.00 pm."

"Very good location in an entire corner which allows you to enjoy the life of the city, a relaxed décor with a nice design of the bar,the background music mixes with the place, is clean and spacious which you adapt quickly to the atmosphere and vibe of the place. The menu for my taste with lack of creativity, but very well executed, I ordered the Seoul Seeker We didn 't even get to the airport to get anything like Seoul in its flavors. The only thing I liked was the fried chicken which was perfect, double crispy and hot dish, all I found Korean was the red pepper paste Gochujang spread on top of the chicken, the combination of cabbage spring onions lettuce and thai chillies does not give it any grace whatsoever, but gives what the cheff looks for the green color nothing more, a coleslaw with the ingredients described above mixed with kimchi would have been more interesting end The professional and friendly service I recommend it"

Some of the fried dishes (e.g. fries, sweet plantain) are made with vegan ingredients but cooked in a fryer with dairy products. You 'll see them marked as Plant Based."

"it is a great little caffe, it does really good cake (brown, blondes, banana loaf, espresso cake etc). also surprisingly, I had an amazing role to be thrown from there - really still my no1 role to be taken, which should not be taken a little bit easy when I had eaten a dangerous volume of these in my life. it is popular to wait so ready or have a backup in understood (there are a few nice places close to bevano, jacora etc), they do cake orders in advance, so they can get a few at once and pick them up. coffee is decent farewell, from a certain brattier. the personal is really friendly and it is a nice quiet place. cakes go fast so when they see that the ones they want on their website are not dilly dally than when they are gone they are gone."

"My sister were not hungry, so we ordered wine, poppadums basket, fried squid and butter chicken to go. After ordering, different waiters was coming to us every 5 minutes and asked what we would eat. It looked impolite and created a fuss rather than a relaxed atmosphere. This continued throughout our presence. Staff simply interrupted our conversation and did not allow us to talk calmly. As a result, after 1 hour and 15 minutes they simply let us know that it was time for us to go and said they would bring the bill.Although there were free tables and the restaurant was not completely full. It's very unpleasant that the staff behaves like this! I don't feel like I would come back there again after being treated like this"

"After walking out of a previous restaurant, Haldi was able to accommodate a large party on the last minute which turned out to be a blessing. I'm not usually a fan of Indian cuisine but I really enjoyed every morsel. The food was excellent. The service was impeccable and the ambiance was so calming. Give them a go you will not be disappointed"

"Around the corner from Old Trafford, Manchester United Football Club, it's majestic! The Bishop Blaize is an ideal pub restaurant and a Witherspoon pub for everyone, including families and disabled people, in my view. It's a well coming atmosphere with friendly staff and has a modern look with outdoor seating if required. The food is good, and prices are affordable with comfortable seating and ideal on match days for a bite before or after, I definitely recommend this place anytime but for anything specific, please do check first with management."

"This restaurant was a perfect choice for a midweek meal. The food was delicious and expertly prepared. We enjoyed a variety of starters, all featuring beautifully cooked seafood such as prawns, calamari, and mussels. The main dishes were also excellent, including a classic lasagna, prawn tagliatelle, steak penne, and gluten-free penne pasta. Despite being full from the delicious meal, we managed to share a classic Italian dessert, crème brûlée, which was a hit. The house white wine was also delightful and served at the perfect temperature. The service was top-notch, with the staff, especially Juan, taking great care of us and being patient even after we overstayed. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with a friendly and attentive team."

"Whenever I visit Altrincham, this is my favorite place to go. The food is fantastic, with some unique fusion options. I particularly enjoyed the Sunday roast during my last visit. The staff are all excellent and the prices are quite reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant."

"I ordered a pizza this past Saturday and unfortunately, the restaurant mistakenly gave my pizza to another customer. Despite waiting for over 25 minutes, the customer who received my pizza opened the box and took a slice before realizing it wasn't their order. I witnessed the whole incident from outside, and a minute later the individual brought the box back to me. I refused to accept it, and when the staff offered to make me a new one, I declined, as I was concerned about the hygiene and safety of the food after it had been opened and touched by another customer. I was disgusted by their lack of proper health and safety measures, and even though their pizzas may look nice, I couldn't trust what was really going on behind the counter. I felt so sickened that I decided to leave without eating the pizza, wasting £13. I will never return to this place due to their poor health and safety standards."

"not sure what had happened but when I arrived for a party there wasn't enough seats, 3 of us said we would have another small table but that was booked, we were left standing for about 15 mins with no-one trying to sort out. we finally got seated at end, Asked for a bottle of wine to be corked, which he did no problem but never fetched any glasses, had to ask, and to top it they whipped away a table to accommodate another party which left me putting stuff on the floor as we were so cramped. we left without ordering, I just couldn't believe how unprofessional they were. we were just innocent members of a party, and was totally ignored"

"Amazing venue for a party! Craig and the team couldn't have been more accommodating in helping us organise and pull off an amazing birthday party in the Ugly Duckling function room. Tim the new chef was absolutely brilliant, he worked with us to create an amazing menu which was enjoyed by all of our guests! He was passionate about the food and it really showed! They even did us frozen margaritas on mass to go with our theme. The bar staff on the night of the party were brilliant, couldn't recommend more if you're looking for somewhere to host a party!"

"our server was amazingly polite and helpful, so thank them megan for so amazing. Unfortunately, this was the only positive moment in our experience, we ordered a take-out and after the payment we mentioned, we would call back for eating in a short time. we get. to house and the food we ordered as a meal was disgustingly salty, edible. I don't know how a arabata is made and can be a bit salty due to olives etc. but it was unusable my partner and I had a bit of it and had to spit it out. we ordered two of them and did not even touch the second box. we called immediately to say “the kitchen closes in 1 minute” so that I should tell them when I come right at this moment to gather a fresh meal ... as polite, I refused so that she could finish after her schedule and said I would call the following day. my partner takes the food back, just to be accused of being lamented with eating, I am not even regretting to put this honest review on her side, but how laughing it is with our eating only to come and after a replacement of the meal provided or to ask a credit note so that we can come back in the evening. Now our meal was only £20 takeaway, but the fact that she was accused is beyond the understanding. I am sorry that their chefs do not understand the concept of trying their own food before the service. I wouldn't avoid the answer this woman. avoid taking out as well as being accused only incase of tampering with their food. lesbians. that eat with them leave, for all wrong reasons feel salty"

"We visited on Christmas Day with family. Going out on Christmas Day is something we’ve done a lot and in all rhe places we have visited we’ve never had such an awful experience. The atmosphere, food and service were terrible. I shouod have trusted my...gut, as from the moment of booking the organisation was terrible. I was told I’s not paid my deposit when I had, told I’d not booked when I had, received no email confirmation. Then was told I was double booked. Then was asked to pay in full weeks before. When we arrived on Christmas Day we had to find and sit at our own table and even though staff were hanging around the bar no/one came over. We struggled to get someone’s attention to order a drink. Which we eventually managed to do after about half an hour. We’d pre-ordered food but there kept bringing us the wrong food, which was really not nice. We were offered no sauces or gravy. We were never asked if we wanted to order more drinks so had one drink at the start. The table was a mess. There was no background music at all, absolutely zero customer service. We felt so unwelcome and like an inconvenience. The crackers on the table were the cheapest things ive ever seen. Despite it being a set menu at a head and included mince pies and coffee at the end we (and no one else) were even offered them. It was so bad it was a joke. The assistant general manager was very nice at the end when we said how bad it was but it was too late by then. I understand that Christmas Day can be difficult to do and especially during covid times and don’t expect perfection but this was just a joke."

"Absolutely superb service and food. My whole family really enjoyed the festive atmosphere in the restaurant, and our meals were spot on. My Dad enjoyed his tandoori chicken madras, and my Mum had the Essence special. I can’t remember what my husband chose for his...main, but I had the lamb rogan josh and it was melt in the mouth. We ended up taking quite a bit home with us because we had filled up on poppadoms and starters. This was no problem and the waiters were happy to oblige. We often save a trip to Essence for a treat. Hopefully we will visit a bit more often in"

"It is always a pleasure coming here for lunch. There are so many incredible vegans options and they are all delish and super healthy!! The staff are really friendly. Highly recommend coming here to treat yourself to a hot drink and cake or for brunch. Their menu does change regularly but I have tried the mac and cheese, the buddha bowl, the Lebanese bowl, the sweet potato jacket with chilli, the brunch bowl, the vegan pancakes, the vegan cooked breakfast and the bean burger. All were incredible and I will never stop coming here."

"One of the best pubs in urmston. Jimmy the landlord is always willing to go out of his way to help you as are all the staff. Only minor gripe is the outside which needs a revamp and possibly a couple of other things in the kids play area like a seesaw or something. Also, footballs should not be allowed outside as kids end up smashing glasses with them. Other than that i cant fault the place"
