"I had dinner with two friends there. It was my first time at La Grange. The menu is short no unnecessary extras. Pizzas, pastas, some meat and some fish. It was nice no fine dining but definitely some good home cooked meal The...pizza are cooked in a wood fire pizza oven. The chef was very friendly and the waitress polite and present but not overbearing. The price are very good, especially for Switzerland. I would definitely go back for a casual dinner."

"We arrived by chance at this restaurant in the center of the old town of Vevey. We took the entrecôtes on the slate...the piece is just enough...3 butters seasoned differently are served with...why not put green pepper or mushroom sauces and butter instead, it's not practical at all as it is presented ..the bread is in a bag like it came from the bakery and placed on the table without explanation.. the vegetables cooked in oil which are served with it are good, the dry homemade matchstick fries.. are they of the day? and why not sort out all the little grilled pieces that we find at the bottom of the bowl.. Really nothing extraordinary.. Perhaps we should have taken the chase which seemed to be much better served on the neighboring tables .."

"We've been to Vevey a few times now. But not to this restaurant. I'm a big critic of getting value for money in a swiss restaurant. The food is either very ordinary or way to over priced. But this place delivered for us. I had the prawn linguine and my wife a gluten free pizza. The pasta was really good and lots of it too (almost too much). The pizza topping was also pretty good. The base a little too dry. I achieved what I've only done a few times in Switzerland, feel as i got a reasonable meal for a reasonable price. Good value finally"

"I would rate this restaurant zero because the waiter sarcastically told that explaining things to Desi people is a big issue....he was trying to explain the two options of veg curry but owing to his limited English wasn't able to explain and in seconds he said that's the problem with you Desi people....he was racist and rude and when we said we are leaving because of his behavior he wasn't apologetic infact he was showing his anger....very disrespectful restaurant...how can you call yourself an Indian restaurant and treat Indians like this..... It was clear that he wanted to just cater to western crowds and this is the first time I have come across such an arrogant behavior in service industry..."

"Surely the pizzeria that has fed the most generations in the region ‍ don't expect a pizza like the most banal pizza that you are used to eating in the majority of pizzerias, they have revisited THE pizza with the personality of the armailli and his boss to arrive with a pizza with a totally atypical dough but oh so deliciously crispy and tasty and with different generous mixtures (in flavors and quantities on the other hand for big eaters I don't I don't have the size of the diameter of the pizza but they are a little smaller than average, I would say the size of a standard plate . "Maybe it was designed with Chaplin's life in mind, essentially a three dish menu is perhaps not worthy of a restaurant. More fitting for a cafeteria. To mark Chaplin's humble London origins; fish and chips. Nice thick pieces of fish, with broad golden chips served with a tartar sauce. Simple. Tasty. A good sized portion. In memory of his American life: a hamburger. The meat was tasty, but the bun.... Europeans in general need to understand that baguette like bread will never make a decent burger bun. Then for the last 25 years of his life in Switzerland: a mac-n-cheese "savoyard". Consists of penne, ham/bacon (lardons) and probably a mix of gruyere and vacherin cheese. The first few bites were tasty, but then one just got ovewhelmed and sickened by the saltiness of it all. There were 2 salads on offering. We had the Ceasar. It was a good portion, but nothing special.Though the menu had ample desert choices, we did not stay as the main course...left something to be desired in the taste, but also the service. The place was overwhelmed, though it was Sunday at 14:30, we got the sense that the staff were just looking forward to seeing the back of us so they could shut the place down...of course, this is typical of Switzerland where thye have yet to discover "all day dinning" and will open a restaurant precisely from noon to 14:00 and too bad if you were not hungry during that short window. Frankly, the snack bar on the first floor seemed to offer more choices. This is too bad since the Chaplin's World museum is very well done. The food offering leaves a rather bad taste in your mouth after such a good visit."

"Their credit card machine was not working right. They ran my card through twice saying the charge did not go through. we paid by cash. came back to US to find that both charges had gone through and we had paid 300 dollars for a mediocre dinner. my credit card company is working on disputing the charges but a lot of inconvenience. Please fix your machine to avoid problems of this kind for visitors and tourists."

"J'ai été invité à manger au Café littéraire lors d'une rencontre professionnel, Le cadre bistro à l'ancienne mélanger à un style épuré moderne fait somme toute assez bon marché et bas de gamme. A part le fait que la bibliothèque est à côté ce café n'a rien de littéraire J'ai pris ce midi là une salade de chèvre oû je devais chercher le chèvre et la viande séchée promise, sans véritable assaisonnement (c'est moi qui est dut verser l'huile d'olive. Je fut tellement déçu que je n'ai pas pris de dessert, pour ceux qui en on pris parut fort quelconque. Cela m'a donné l'impression que l'on cherchait à faire une cuisine simple pseudo à la mode mais fade et sans intérêt. Le service se veut sympathique mais sonne faut somme toute on est des numéros. Pas mauvais mais sans intérêt, je n'y retournerai pas à titre privé. Si on est en chaise accès par bibliothèque et il faut se faire ouvrir les portes. Bye bye !"

"Mit durchaus gemischten Gefühlen sind wir bei Denis Martin in Vevey aufgetaucht. Das Restaurant ist teuer, die Bewertungen der wichtigen Guides sind durchschnittlich, Tendenz sinkend, manche Blogger leisten sich einen Totalverriss. So haben wir uns selbst ein Bild gemacht. Es gibt im Prinzip nur ein Menu mit unterschiedlich viel Gängen, wir haben uns für das kleinste, Emotion zu CHF 220, entschieden, würden wir wieder tun. Denis Martin liebt das Spektakel, eine Muh-Kuh auf dem Tisch, ein überlebensgroßes Portrait vom Meister im Lokal, viel Stickstoff, Kühe an Wand und Decke. Sättigungsgrad: angenehm satt, nicht überfressen, das Fehlen von Brot finden wir durchaus vernünftig. Auf dem Teller jagt eine Überraschung die andere, mutig und gekonnt, eigenständig, man muss bei Denis Martin gewesen sein. Weinpreise hoch, aber da ist er in der Spitzengastronomie nicht allein. Mit einem kleinen Apero und einer Flasche Dezaley fanden wir die Rechnung für das Gebotene durchaus in Ordnung. Die mäßigen Bewertungen können wir nicht nachvollziehen, beinahe alles verdient Höchstnoten. Der Service, allen voran die charmante Mme Martin sehr kompetent und auskunftsfreudig. Denis Martin denkt nicht an den Ruhestand, gut so, dann haben wir die Chance, noch einmal zu kommen."

"Je vais avec mon enfant de 4,5 ans et moi, sa maman à midi. Je demande au serveur combien paient les enfants pour le buffet, il me répond 10 CHF. J'hésite à prendre un buffet moi-même n'ayant pas très faim, je demande la carte mais je décide de prendre le buffet. Je me dis encore que ce sera un repas à environ 30 CHF pour nous 2.Lorsque je demande une carafe d'eau, mon enfant est diabétique je ne lui fait pas boire autre chose. La patronne dans un français très approximatif me dis c'est 2 CHF la carafe d'eau... Je lui dis oui.Au final: 15 CHF le repas de mon pti gars de 4 ans... et une carafe d'eau à moitié vide, donc 5dl d'eau du robinet 4 CHF!!!! Je lui ai dis mon mécontentement pour l'eau, mais n'ai même pas vu qu'elle m'avait taxé le menu enfant à 15CHF!!!La prochaine on ira au Mc Do!J'appelle ça juste du VOL!... donc des VOLEURS!!! D'autant plus que " minérales" sur le ticket est un mensonge, c'est de l'eau du robinet...Ils peuvent songer à augmenter leur buffet et arrêter d'arnaquer une maman et son enfant.... et cela discrédite tous les restaurants chinois du genre...Déçue!!! Dommage que le papa n'était pas là, cela se serait passé autrement..."

"Como eu sei que tem muitos brasileiros e portugueses que chegam aqui vou escrever em português pra vocês!O serviço é ótimo, o pessoal é atencioso e entende as suas necessidades. O cardápio é resumido para aquilo que tem de melhor. Você encontra salmão, filé, peito de frango, frutos do mar, funghi. Na pasta que tem fresca e a industrializada. "I discovered chez Xu in Lausanne years back and was so happy to find out they opened in Vevey, so much closer to where I live in Montreux. Hands down the best Chinese restaurant around. Food is very delicious, I personally love their lamb stew, not forgetting the fish stew and also had the opportunity to try out their daily menu; aubergines with mince meat, what a treat. The lady boss is extremely nice, the restaurant is clean and portions are just amazingly huge. Real moneys’ worth, always a delight to go back and eat there. Thank you for making authentic Chinese food!"

"We ordered with just eat after 1h30 of waiting I called and was told that I would be called back in 30sec because they had to restart their machine, 10min and still nothing so I called back, again I was told that the machine was broken and the order will be delivered with 2 desserts as an apology. 20 minutes later the delivery man arrives telling me that there were a lot of orders hence the delay, I look in the bag and there is only 1 dessert, the soft fries with a piece of wood in and in the burger that I ordered cheese which is not mentioned in the description. We will no longer recommend."

"Ich habe einige Jahre zurück gehen aber hielten weil sehr langsam Service und hohen Preis.Vor kurzem hatte ich es zu besuchen und einige Freund, der etwas essen wollten indisch. Wie üblich die Bestellung kam sehr spät. Dann die Nans wir bestellten waren falsch. Wir hatten dann darauf warten, dass neue Nans Mitte unser Abendessen. Dann die frisch Nans waren nicht richtig zubereitet. Dazu kommt, dass wir fanden Haare in Reis. Als wir uns beschwerten sous Manager, er versuchte, auf das Problem, nicht akzeptieren. Und dann haben sie uns erst zuviel berechnet sich der Käse Nans, die wir nicht bestellt hatten. Wir waren bisher noch über Essen, das wir unseren links zu packen wir baten darum, dass sie für uns."

"I worked in that restaurant and the owner had us working 10 hours a day, he told me that the contract said 8 hours but it would be 10 and then he would pay me in cash for the rest. He never paid me, he also fed us sausages and pasta and then deducted 300 francs from our salary for that miserable meal. They take advantage of foreign workers whom they exploit and treat badly, taking advantage of the need. He had a poster in the kitchen saying “the chef is a dictator” and that's how he behaved. If something went wrong he would throw things from the kitchen at you and scream like a madman. I learned French swear words in that kitchen. This is my experience with Lauren at the restaurant du port"

"Letztes Wochenende verbrachten wir in Vevey und waren gleich begeistert von der Terrasse des Bla Bla. Die Bedienung war ausnehmend freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Location toll. Als Gin Liebhaberin war ich erfreut, auf der Karte einen mir bisher unbekannten Gin aus der Provence LE MISTRAL zu entdecken, welcher leicht rosa gefärbt ist und den ich unbedingt ausprobieren wollte. Wir bestellten 2x den Mistral. Dieser wurde serviert, war tatsächlich leicht rosa, allerdings hatte er rosa Blüten im Glas. Nach dem ersten Schluck war klar es handelt sich um Gin Mare, zufälligerweise mein Lieblingsgin, den ich sofort erkannte. Etwas irritiert wechselten wir aufgrund der Kälte den Platz. An einem neuen Tisch bei einer neuen Bedienung bestellten wir erneut einen Mistral und einen Mare. Wir erhielten einen Mare, welcher exakt genau schmeckte wie der angebliche Mistral vorher. Als Mistral wurde uns nun ein Nordes vorgesetzt, welchen wir ebenfalls sofort am Geschmack erkannten und dieses Mal nicht mehr rosa gefärbt war. Es kann passieren, dass einem Restaurant der auf der Karte angebotene Gin ausgeht. Dies rechtfertigt jedoch nicht, seine eigenen Gäste für dumm zu verkaufen. Das ist ganz einfach stillos und höchstgradig unsympathisch. Auf der Rechnung wurden schliesslich 3 Mare und 1 Nordes abgerechnet. Schade, damit disqualifiziert ihr euch selber."
