"What a lovely surprise! We were in Vevey on our way home from the mountains and happened upon this brilliant Indian restaurant. Honestly it was the best Chicken Tikka Masala I have ever had and I've had hundreds!! The rice portions were also extremely generous! The service was so friendly too! We will certainly be back!!"

"Les prix sont relativement élevés pour ce type de restaurant. Le menu A coute 29 francs (c'est le moins cher): vous avez 2 petits rouleaux de printemps, un petit bol de riz, une tranche de poulet pané sauce au citron.En sortant de table, on a encore faim. Les portions sont minuscules. Pas de légume.Pour ce qui est de la qualité, elle est très moyenne. Les rouleaux de printemps sont archi-durs (trop cuits), la poulet pané trempe dans une sauce transparente au citron. Le riz cantonnais a été fait à la va-vite: des morceaux d'oeuf (genre omelette) longs comme le doigt s'y trouvent.En résumé, si vous avez faim, n'y allez pas, vous n'aurez pas assez. Dans le cas contraire, n'y allez pas non plus, le rapport-qualité prix n'en vaut pas la peine."

"I cannot recommend this hotel. Their service is neither kind nor nice. The offers on the website are misleading. The payment method is problematic, and they attempted to charge me much more than the advertised rates. We have stayed at this hotel in the past, and it was supposed to be a 5-star experience. However, the prices do not reflect the reality; they are more than double what they should be. I definitively advise against visiting this hotel or wasting your money. There are far better options nearby with more hospitable staff."

"I had dinner with two friends there. It was my first time at La Grange. The menu is short no unnecessary extras. Pizzas, pastas, some meat and some fish. It was nice no fine dining but definitely some good home cooked meal The...pizza are cooked in a wood fire pizza oven. The chef was very friendly and the waitress polite and present but not overbearing. The price are very good, especially for Switzerland. I would definitely go back for a casual dinner."

"Je passe régulièrement devant la verrière de ce restaurant sans jamais m'y arrêter en sortant de la gare et sans me douter que la salle intérieure abrite fresques et colonnes dans un cadre qui évoque la tradition.Alors ce fut une agréable surprise en allant finalement y manger. Effectivement la salle est assez sombre mais très élégante, on se sent à l'aise de même que le service fut discret, poli et assez efficace. J'ai pris une assiette du pêcheur dont la présentation et la qualité des produits furent parfaits! De même que pour le plat principale composé d'un filet de dorade accompagné d'une subtile sauce chorizo et d'un délicieux risotto onctueux à souhait!Les autres convives ont également été très bien servis, très beaux plats d'asperges en quantité plus que suffisantes et joliment présentées.Intéressante carte des vins.Il faut souligner aussi l'excellent rapport qualité-prix au vu des produits et de leur présentation.Je me réjouis d'y retourner afin de manger d'autres plats de cette alléchante carte!A recommander!"

"We've been to Vevey a few times now. But not to this restaurant. I'm a big critic of getting value for money in a swiss restaurant. The food is either very ordinary or way to over priced. But this place delivered for us. I had the prawn linguine and my wife a gluten free pizza. The pasta was really good and lots of it too (almost too much). The pizza topping was also pretty good. The base a little too dry. I achieved what I've only done a few times in Switzerland, feel as i got a reasonable meal for a reasonable price. Good value finally"

Il punto forte è la tajine di pollo, agnello o pesce ma bisogna specificarlo alla prenotazione; il proprietario ci ha spiegato che tengono tanto alla freschezza delle pietanza che il piatto è da prenotare un giorno in anticipo e preparato appositamente per l' ospite visto che non lasciano sostare in frigo un piatto simile in attesa del probabile cliente per poi proporlo il giorno successivo. Quest' aspetto mi è piaciuto, si percepisce che vi è molta cura al dettaglio in cucina e molta attenzione alla qualità degli alimenti.Presentazione dei piatti bella e porzioni dei piatti di pasta molto soddisfacente.Servizio come in pochi posti, impeccabile, in sala vi è una signora molto gentile, disponibile e sorridente che, come il proprietario, con il loro savoir faire naturale e non forzato, creano un' atmosfera davvero piacevole, infatti noi siamo rimasti a lungo e ad un tratto ci siamo accorti che eravamo gli ultimi e seppure dovessero chiudere, il proprietario è stato molto alla mano e gentile fino alla fine, non ci ha assolutamente pressato per farci andare, cosa che avviene d' abitudine in altri ristoranti simili in vista della chiusura.Thè alla marocchina alla fine della cena è un must da non perdere.La prossima volta prenoterò per la tajine di pollo. "Ich hatte schon einige Male die Chance, in der Veranda Bar zu trinken und zu essen, also basiert dies nicht auf einer zufälligen Beobachtung. Der Service vor Ort ist alles Lächeln und Höflichkeit, aber leider haben sie die Tendenz, Essen in der falschen Reihenfolge zu bringen und Zutaten, die nicht angezeigt werden sollten als ob sie den Kunden zu ignorieren eine inakzeptable Situation in einem 5 Sterne Einrichtung. Vor einiger Zeit gingen wir zum Mittagessen mit Dessert und mein Eis wurde vor dem Haupt serviert als ich mich beschwerte, beschlossen sie, das Eis Sonntag in den Gefrierschrank zu stellen, nur um das gleiche mit gefrorener Schlagsahne und Obst 40 Minuten später zu reservieren als ob es normal wäre. Am anderen Wochenende bestellten wir Cesar Salads und forderten für diejenigen, die keine Sardellen haben, die wir nicht ausstehen können natürlich wurden die Sardellen stolz auf kleine Toaststücke auf der Oberseite des Salats präsentiert. Als wir uns beschwerten, wurden die Filets in der Küche entfernt und die gleichen Salate mit den gleichen Sardellen ölgetränkten Toast stücken serviert. . . als ob es das natürlichste ist, was man tun kann. . . was mich wundern lässt. . . Wenn sie Gäste haben, die nach bestimmten Zutaten verlangen, die von ihrem Teller ferngehalten werden sollen, können sie das nicht angemessen zur Kenntnis nehmen? Haben sie nicht von tödlichen Nahrungsmittelallergien gehört? In schweren Fällen kann dies zu schweren und lebensbedrohlichen Episoden führen. Absolut sorglos und nicht im Rahmen eines 5 Sterne Hauses. Einfach gesagt wenn Sie spezielle Diät Anforderungen haben, bleiben Sie weg von ihrem Essen, da sie leicht mit einem Lächeln auf ihren Gesichtern schaden können. "Wir gingen dreimal ins Restaurant und bestellten verschiedene Gerichte und Getränke von der Speisekarte. Das Essen, ob es ein Salat, Burger, Muscheln oder Fish and Chips war, absolut lecker. Das Essen ist etwas teuer, aber es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Das Personal war unfreundlich für uns als große Familie mit zwei kleinen Kindern. Sie stellten uns in die Ecke des Raumes, weg von den anderen Gästen und waren nicht daran interessiert, uns richtig zu bedienen. Wir mussten ständig aufstehen und zur Bar gehen, um die Aufmerksamkeit unseres Kellners zu erregen. Immer wenn der Kellner zu uns kam, um unsere Bestellung entgegenzunehmen, sahen sie verärgert aus, als würden wir nicht französischsprachigen Touristen ihre Zeit verschwenden. Ich würde das Restaurant nicht empfehlen, aber wenn Sie darauf stoßen, zögern Sie nicht, hineinzugehen."

"Food, service and atmosphere were good, close to perfect. I give 3 stars only because, given the quantity and size of pancakes I got, I didn't feel that was reflected in the cost, but then again... If I'm paying 16 CHF for 3 (7 cm diameter) pancakes, I rather have a 3 nice big pancakes (preferably not burned, like the one hidden in the bottom). I mean, praise to the local ingredients consideration, but I was expecting (maybe wrongly) bigger sized, or at least 6 (of the similar size) pancakes to find it a fair deal for the price. By the way, I feel honored to incite such curiosity on my other reviews, but unfortunately you're missing the context. Referring to the McDonald's example, I gave a 5 star to the specific location which has over-expectations pleasant and nice table service, the workers are top notch, and with the food, I know what I'll get, so no surprise there, in the end I'm taking the decision to go inside and get a big coffee, which isn't too shabby, for 4 CHF "

"Maybe it was designed with Chaplin's life in mind, essentially a three dish menu is perhaps not worthy of a restaurant. More fitting for a cafeteria. To mark Chaplin's humble London origins; fish and chips. Nice thick pieces of fish, with broad golden chips served with a tartar sauce. Simple. Tasty. A good sized portion. In memory of his American life: a hamburger. The meat was tasty, but the bun.... Europeans in general need to understand that baguette like bread will never make a decent burger bun. Then for the last 25 years of his life in Switzerland: a mac-n-cheese "savoyard". Consists of penne, ham/bacon (lardons) and probably a mix of gruyere and vacherin cheese. The first few bites were tasty, but then one just got ovewhelmed and sickened by the saltiness of it all. There were 2 salads on offering. We had the Ceasar. It was a good portion, but nothing special.Though the menu had ample desert choices, we did not stay as the main course...left something to be desired in the taste, but also the service. The place was overwhelmed, though it was Sunday at 14:30, we got the sense that the staff were just looking forward to seeing the back of us so they could shut the place down...of course, this is typical of Switzerland where thye have yet to discover "all day dinning" and will open a restaurant precisely from noon to 14:00 and too bad if you were not hungry during that short window. Frankly, the snack bar on the first floor seemed to offer more choices. This is too bad since the Chaplin's World museum is very well done. The food offering leaves a rather bad taste in your mouth after such a good visit."

"En promenade sur les quais de Vevey, près de l'Alimentarium, nous avons vu une ardoise indiquant un restaurant de plats à emporter. Décidant de manger face au lac, nous nous sommes rendus au restaurant. Nous y avons vu un large choix de sandwichs, paninis, wraps et autres plats à emporter. Nous avons choisi un wrap végétarien et un sandwich chaud au poulet grillé. Tout est confectionné devant les clients à base d'ingrédients frais. Un four spécial porte les plats à la température exacte. Pour les wraps par exemple, le four chauffe la galette mais pas l'intérieur. Addition très raisonnable. Accueil sympa. Nous avons mangé nos délicieux sandwichs face au lac en disant qu'on reviendra chez Genio."
