"The restaurant setting is nice, not too fancy but practical. I had chicken with mushrooms, vegetables and potatoes. The taste was good but there was WAY too much oil and cream sauce, the food was swimming in it. Perhaps the authentic Italian dishes are better, but I haven’t had a chance to try any. The portion was big, but I think it’s still a bit overpriced for Weimar and for what it is. The servers were accommodating and nice. FYI I was told they don’t accept cards, so cash only."

"Das schlimmste an diesem Lokal ist die Bedienung: das Servicepersonal spricht sehr schlecht Deutsch und ist in einem Maße unfreundlich, dass es einem schlecht davon werden kann. Es hat mir den ganzen Nachmittag versaut, auch weil ich praktisch genauso hungrig wieder gehen musste, wie ich gekommen war, denn das Essen war ein Alptraum.Ich kam an einem Sonntag und war außer einem Pärchen, das an einem anderen Tisch gerade mit dem Essen fertig war, der einzige Gast. Ich habe eine vegetarische Sushi-Auswahl bestellt und wollte höflich nachfragen, ob man ein Nigiri tauschen könnte, doch der Kellner schnitt mir mit seinen mehr als bescheidenen sprachlichen Fähigkeiten barsch das Wort ab, noch bevor ich den Satz halb angefangen hatte. Insgesamt sind Ausdrücke wie "Bitte", "Danke" oder "Entschuldigung" in diesem Haus vollkommen unbekannte Fremdwörter.Das Essen kam sehr schnell: eine verkochte, ausgeflockte und versalzene Misosuppe und winzig gerolltes Sushi aus vertrocknetem Reis, das nach Fisch roch und schmeckte (vermutlich auf einer ungereinigten Arbeitsfläche zubereitet oder lange neben Sushi mit Fisch ohne Abdeckung gelagert), ich habe nur ein paar Stück probiert und mehr als die Hälfte stehen gelassen. Der eigentlich schon fast zu günstige Preis hatte mich vorher schon misstrauisch gemacht, ich hätte es besser wissen müssen...Der Höhepunkt war die Zahlung, zu der ich an den Tresen kommen musste. Der Herr wollte sich selbst ein Trinkgeld aufrunden, ich war aber derart abgestoßen von seinem respektlosen Verhalten, dass es mir im Traum nicht eingefallen wäre auch nur 10 ct mehr dazulassen, so musste ich ihn erst noch dazu auffordern, mir mein Restgeld auszuzahlen. Ungefragt Trinkgeld abkassieren wollen mag ja schon dreist sein, aber der Höhepunkt war die geöffnete Küchentüre durch die ich vom Tresen aus dem demonstrativ gelangweilten Koch in seinem heillosen Chaos beim Rauchen zusehen konnte, einfach ekelhaft!"

"We tried this nice restaurant near Rollplatz after a full morning of walking in Weimar. The place is nice and furniture is classic German. These people really mean it when they say they're the Kartoffel (potato's) House! Tens of dishes made with different cooking techniques, and nearly all prepared with potatoes. I would not have believed it if I hadn't tried it, but they taste delicious and very differently from one another!We had served sort of some large fried potato balls with a gorgeous goulash, and an exquisite oven-cooked dish made of potatoes, spinach and gorgonzola cheese. All served with the usual excellent German beer you would expect to find in such a place, and a decent selection of wines. To close our lunch, we had an apple strudel with vanilla ice cream, which was so tasty we did not have the time to take a picture of it. :)Overall a very high quality/price ratio. Give it a try, you won't regret it!"

"I was positively surprised. From the outside, the shop is very inconspicuous and looks like a pure delivery service, there are also some seats. We ordered pizza and salad to pick up and it was ready after 10 minutes. The pizza is really good and there is a great choice. My favourite is the Pizza Venezia, I can only recommend. The salad was quite simple, but fresh and crisp. I was very kindly received. I would recommend the pizza shop. The price-performance ratio is top and the taste is better than with some other delivery service. For a change, I had ordered a burger, the meat was a bit tough, but the sauce was delicious and the salad was fresh and crisp. The Pommes were good. I recommend a pizza if you eat or order here."

"Ein wunderschönes Fachwerkhaus. Mitten in der Altstadt von Weimar. Zwischen Herderplatz und Schillerstraße. Unübertroffenes Ambiente. Super gutes Watzdorfer Bier und grotten schlechtes Essen. Tut mir leid. Meinen Gänsebraten und den meiner Frau haben wir zurück gehen lassen. Schade dass dafür Tiere sterben mussten. Die Bedienung war wirklich sehr freundlich. Mit dem Koch hätt ich gern mal geredet. Schade , kommt nach Watzdorf in unseren Schalander . Liebe Grüße aus dem Rinnetal. "

"Couldn't believe the most appalling treatment from the waiter over Christmas on taking my parents to a supposedly friendly atmosphere and retaraunt from the minute we walked into the restaraunt and asked a simple question of which table we could sit at and if it was self service or not! On just smiling and waving to acknowledge we were at the back of the restaraunt waiter comes up slams the menus on the table and demands to know what I'm doing...! When I tried to speak just cut me dead and so I said it was probably best to go as he was so rude to which he replied yes please go I don't want to serve people like you, then went to another table and loudly proclaimed for the whole restaraunt to hear they had better be careful with him as I had said he was rude...! So the supposed reputation of a family run business and all welcome is most certainly not true ! So if you truly wish good service go somewhere else in Weimar - there is definitely no warm welcome for everyone at this restaraunt!"

"During the months that I am in Weimar I often go to Schwarzburger Hof. It is a great lokal. I go there for dinner, for dinner and then the evening, or for drinks in the evening. The people who run the place are always there doing the serving and could not be nicer or more accommodating. The food is basic german, very good, generous portions and the price is right. The beer and schnapps prices are also very good. The terrace is a great place to pass the evening like a local!"

"I read the reviews before going, and found the restaurant to be much as described. Upon entering, we found a table, and put our things down, since it was beginning to get busy. Then we walked over to the counter where the owner described each available dish presented to us under the glass hood. I chose the ravioli and vegetables, thinking that was it. But then he turned and proceeded to put spaghetti plus a salad on my plate! It was all very tasty, but was a lot of food, especially costing less than 25 euros for three of us (including non alcoholic drinks, and bread in a basket on the table)!"

"Wir, zwei Lehrer auf Deutschlandrundreise, hatten hier heute Abend das allerbeste indische Essen... Chicken Tikka in einem kleinen Pfännchen mit Reis serviert und das köstlichste Chana Masala, das ich je gegessen habe. Dazu war der Service 1a - super freundlich und unsere Wünsche wurden uns von den Augen abgelesen. "Unsere Vorspeise landete am Nachbartisch. Die Herrschaften haben sie auch klaglos gegessen, obwohl sie eine andere Vorspeise bestellt hatten. Uns wurde dann die Vorspeise vom Nachbartisch angeboten. Das lehnten wir allerdings ab und mussten so weitere 20 Minuten auf unsere Vorspeise warten. Am Nachbartisch sagte der Ober, er wisse nicht ob sie noch alle Zutaten für das gewünschte Gericht hätten. Der Kartoffelsalat zum Wiener Schnitzel war leider ungenießbar. Das Fleisch mittelmäßig. Schade, da das Ambiente wirklich schön ist und man wesentlich mehr erwartet. Wir haben es mit Humor genommen und uns mit den Herrschaften am Nachbartisch darüber amüsiert. Wir können das Restaurant leider nicht empfehlen."

"Wir waren zu zweit Ende Juni im Dal Pescatore; Wir hatten einen Tisch im Innern des Lokals ... sehr schlicht, aber geschmackvoll eingerichtet; Im Lokal hängt eine Urkunde des Gault Millau (13 Punkte für 2015)Wir hatten eine Fischsuppe als Vorspeise (ca. 10 EUR), danach von der Tageskarte Oktopus mit Kartoffeln und frittierten Zwiebeln (ca. 20 EUR); die Fischsuppe war sehr gut; der Oktopus war trocken, lieblos arrangiert, das Gericht insgesamt sehr trocken; die Zwiebeln haben m.E. überhaupt nicht gepaßt.Bei beide Gängen handelte es sich um sehr grosse Portionen; kaum waren die Teller der Fischsuppe abgeräumt kam auch schon der Tintenfisch - wir waren hiermit absolut überfordert. Es war Sonntag, wir waren die letzten Gäste und wir hatten den Eindruck, dass man uns einfach loshaben wollte... das ist dann auch gelungen; wir hatten um 19:30 unseren Tisch reserviert; um 20:30 waren wir auch schon wieder draussen.Den Service insgesamt empfand ich als sehr lieblos Ich werde bis auf weiteres nicht mehr in das Restaurant gehen"

ZB non sharp soup not only fits a few leaves of cabbage if you just want to save money. Just like pizza with cheese. "Andy’s has something that needs to be fed for the little starving and for that quite well. I like the burgers that taste right after meat and fresh sweet and burger stick, not so fast foodchainburger (although I would like to eat them naturally). there are various big burgers and those with huh. I find myself really good because I don't make a big one, and lust on the hamburger meat that they don't always have, but with that huh it's not that hard to do. the pommes is always delicious, well spiced. my favorites are the hot dogs every time, I could eat them all the time. but I think the burgers are generally more interesting, and on desserts of pancakes there is something I like to order. the typical American drinks they get, I usually only drink canada dry, but the sorts are already wider than that. I like to order something else, but at Andy’s I became more common. not because everything else does not taste, but because everything tastes good and you can never decide and just eat as delicious as last time. one of my favorite restaurants! go to every place."
