"We have tried both vegan breakfast options and coffee with oat drink. The portions were relatively small, but attractive and delicious! The staff seemed quite stressed to us and therefore unfortunately unfriendly, although the restaurant was not even half visited. Nevertheless recommended for vegan breakfast!"

"best pizza from Italy!! as much traveler I can only say that I have never got such a good pizza outside italian (even in italia it is hard to get such a good thing. this has also been talking around so that you have to wait almost always for a sitting place (in summer there is a biergarten that will be thrown up with the pale french! tellerschlepper waere straight still a compliment! the prices are quite moderate, doubt by the really good espresso fuer 1, €, but also the 0.5l bottle of mineral water fuer 2,50 or cola/fanta/sprite fuer 3, € in the 0.5l bottle (and sharing a bottle to two also does not represent a problem. very tightly chaired so really eat only!"

"Wir waren als Gruppe da und waren froh,daß wir mittags auf unserer Stadttour einen Tisch reserviert hatten. Abends war die Pizzeria brechend voll. Wir mussten ca 5 min auf unseren Tisch warten und bekamen zur Entschuldigung jeder einen Sekt. Wir hatten alle eine Steinofenpizza und die War wirklich absolut lecker. Ordentlich belegt und super knusprig. Ich wollte keine Oliven und bestellte mir anstatt Artischocken. Es wurde nicht extra berechnet. Ein Belag für ein Belag. Sehr nette Geste. Der Kellner war super auf Zack. Prima Service . Tiramisu war nochmal eine ordentliche Portion. Absolut empfehlenswert"

"the service was very attentive and has corrected a false beverage delivery itself. the food was also very good. I personally felt the waiting time for the main dish as much too long and also saw that other guests (with children) have a problem with it and talked with the service. I would have wished that a delay will be communicated to us (can happen once.) then I could even have enjoyed this evening in the restaurant. I guess someone was missing in the kitchen."

"Auf unserem Städtetrip nach Weimar wollten wir wiedereinmal etwas griechisches Essen. Die Auswahl an griechischen Restaurants in Weimar ist eher, sagen wir mal, übersichtlich. Man kennt weder den Einen noch den Anderen, als sind wir auf gut Glück ins Apollon! Da meine LG auf einen Rollstuhl angewiesen ist haben wir im Biergarten platzgenommen und die übersichtliche Karte studiert. Unsere Wahl fiel auf Rinderleber vom Grill und einen Ipiros Teller. Wir wollten die Bestellung aufgeben und bekamen zu hören wir haben momentan keine Leber . Ok, dann zweimal den Ipiros Teller, dann eben ohne Leber dafür mit Bifteki? Biftki geht nicht, ist zu groß kann man das denn nicht teilen und aus beide Teller verteilen? Nein das ist zu groß! Vielleich mehr Gyros? Da wir momentan wirklich Hunger hatten... OK . Ach wir haben gerade keine Pommes, wäre Tomatenreis ok? UNFASSBAR!!! DrBeilagensalat war leicht welk und mit viel zu wenig Dressing angemacht. Der Grillteller kam dann recht zügig, war kalt und das einzige was wirkich Geschmack hatte war das lauwarme Gyros! zwei Ipiros Teller, zwei Getränke etwa 40€! muss ich nicht nochmal haben!Die besten Restaurants in meiner Nähe"

"Given the value for money this is in all regards including the pretentious yet tasteless interior design a tourist trap. It started already with the service: No smile, no greeting, no thank you, communication in nouns only we all speak native German!. As a drink,...I ordered a wheat beer. Something that is a standard offer in a German restaurant. The order was taken and the waiter came back shortly after to tell me that wheat beer was over, but in a way as if I should have known better before ordering. As a food, I had the chanterelles with fried dumpling. I received a plate with a grey, oversalted but otherwise tasteless sauce which was obviously ready made and contained some vegetables and some pieces of mushroom. In this sauce swam some slices of tasteless dumpling as well as a side salad. This obnoxiousness of a dish set me back Euros. Never again will I set foot in this restaurant"

"Am 05.06.2017 waren meine Frau, die an diesem Tag Geburtstag hatte, um 18:00 Uhr , mit 4 Gästen im Schwarzen Bären in Weimar zum Abendessen.Bedienung war nett und freundlich und 4 Essen waren auch in Ordnung.Was der Koch aber wagte als „ Gebratene KALBSLEBER mit Spargel“ zu servieren (2 Essen), war eine Frechheit hoch drei!Beim ersten Versuch war die KALBSLEBER bei beiden Essen schwarz „VERBRANNT“ (Kohle)! Auf sofortige Reklamation wurden beide Essen zurückgenommen.Beim 2.ten Versuch wurde die absoluten Krönung serviert: Eine schwarz VERKOCHTE – BRÖSELIGE, SAURE Leber und ein, vermutlich beim Aufwärmen in der Mikrowelle, zur Hälfte bräunlicher Spargel.Der an den Tisch gebetene Koch stellte die Leber als „frisch aufgetaut“ (innerhalb von 30 Min. nur mit Heißwasser oder Mikrowelle möglich – deshalb der GEKOCHT = BRÖSELIG Effekt!)dar! Zudem verhielt der Koch sich völlig uneinsichtig und beharrte darauf, alles richtig gemacht zu haben. Das von ihm angebotene Dessert haben wir abgelehnt, um nicht noch ein drittes Mal enttäuscht zu werden.Seit wann wird „FRISCHE“ Leber aufgetaut?Meine Frau und der zweite Gast verließen hungrig diese Gaststätte, und verzichteten auf einen weiteren Versuch dieses UNFÄHIGEN Kochs! Wer gut essen möchte, sollte dieses Lokal meiden! Weimar hat noch bessere Lokalitäten zu bieten."

"Wir waren am 02.10. in Weimar und unser Appetit auf Schnitzel führte uns über Online-Recherche zu diesem Restaurant. Voller Vorfreude gingen wir über den Rollplatz auf die Schnitzeloase zu. Von außen wirkte das Restaurant modern und offen. Wir betraten das Lokal und wurden mit "es kann heute ca. eine bis anderthalb Stunden dauern" begrüßt. Da wir es nicht eilig hatten, beschlossen wir die Wartezeit in Kauf zu nehmen. Wir antworteten dementsprechend, dass wir einen Tisch für vier Personen nehmen würden. Als Antwort erhielten wir verdrehte Augen sowie ein missmutiges "ok". Wir setzten uns und waren alle recht verdutzt über diese Reaktion. Die Gäste, die nach uns das Lokal betraten wurden an unseren Nebentisch geführt, beschlossen jedoch, dass die Wartezeit zu lang ist... Die nächsten Gäste wurden bereits mit "komplett ausgebucht" begrüßt. Auf wundersame Weise wanderten auf alle freien Tische "Reserviert"-Schilder. Mehrere weitere Gäste wurden recht forsch abgewiesen. Die Bedienung brachte unsere Getränke und fragte, ob sie uns darauf aufmerksam gemacht hätte, dass es mindestens anderthalb Stunden dauern würde. Der zweite Versuch uns loszuwerden, nachdem der erste nicht gewirkt hatte, zumindest kam uns das so vor. Nachdem wir unsere Getränke bekommen hatten und unsere Speisen bestellen wollten, fragten wir ob es auch möglich wäre ein Chili-Sahne-Schnitzel zu bekommen. Antwort: "Chili-Sahne? Ne, sowas dürfen wir nicht." Wir mussten also noch einmal die Karte studieren. Weitere Gäste betraten das Restaurant. Die "freundliche" Bedienung war allerdings wie vom Erdboden verschluckt. Nach ca. 5 Minuten warten, hatten die Gäste eine Idee und riefen im Lokal an. Schwups war die Bedienung wieder da. "Komplett ausgebucht" - was auch sonst. Uns war dieses ganze Spektakel allerdings in diesem Augenblick zu viel. Als die Bedienung erneut unsere Bestellung aufnehmen wollte, baten wir um die Rechnung für die Getränke. Da ein solcher Service unserer Meinung nach kein Trinkgeld verdient, zahlten wir passend, ernteten dafür noch einen bösen Blick und ein wütendes "Geld ins Portmonee werfen"... Und natürlich hatten wir jetzt die Verabschiedung verspielt, unser "auf Wiedersehen" blieb unbeantwortet. Wir sind über diesen Service sehr verwundert und immer noch sprachlos. Scheinbar laufen die Geschäfte mit den Einheimischen hier so gut, dass das Geschäft mit Touristen absolut unwichtig ist. Das Essen können wir leider nicht bewerten. Aber kein Essen in dieser Kategorie könnte diesen Service ausmerzen..."

"When I visited the House of India, I once again realized how important diversity and cultural exchange are in these times. Eating here is not just a culinary experience, it also shows that solidarity and openness are values that strengthen Thuringia. The dishes, whether traditional chicken tikka masala or fresh naan, were excellently prepared, authentic and served with great attention to detail. A real treat! The service: fast, friendly, with a smile that shows that hospitality is very important here. In times when we as a society are required to stick together and talk to one another, it is good to experience in a restaurant that good service is always a dialogue. And the atmosphere? Inviting, warm, a wonderful mix of Thuringian down to earthness and Indian charm. It is precisely this openness that holds us together as a country in stormy times like these that you can feel in every detail here. Especially in view of the current political situation in which we are all facing major challenges whether it is about the integration of immigrants, social cohesion or economic stability this restaurant shows that diversity and quality can go hand in hand. It reminds us that with openness and respect we can combine the best of both worlds to achieve success together."

"La Tarte is one of our favourite restaurants in Weimar. We eat there at least once per week. We spend 100's of Euro here every month. Last night was a big dissapointment however. I saw the Menü du Moment earlier this week and told my...husband we have to go and try the new dishes. I ordered the Cremige Erbsensuppe mit Schmorsalat und karamalisierter Jakobsmuschel. The soup was lovely but arrived without the Jakobsmuschel. We ordered the Surf Turf for main course. It should be Rinderfillet mit flambierten Risengarnelen, Blumenkohlröschen, Pommes allumettes und Sauce Béarnaise. This time our food arrived without the Blumenkohlröschen. The meat was lovely. We pointed the shortcomings out to the waitress and she said that she got no reaction from the kitchen regarding this. That is very dissapointing. Making a mistake is one thing, but having no interest in correcting the mistake is really not good. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. The restaurant was busy and she was serving all on her own, so we didn't get to order our usual dessert and/or cheese platter either. We bring out of town guests, have recommended La Tarte to family and friends who also go there on our recommendation, so it is a real let down to see that our patronage is not appreciated."

"Wir waren gegen 22 Uhr im Restaurant, und wurden trotzdem super nett und nicht genervt, müde, etc. empfangen! Der Service war einfach genial, super freundlich, und sehr cool. Als wir dann das Essen bekommen haben, waren wir echt sprachlos, einfach nur PERFEKT, alles hat super geschmeckt, und war frisch. Ebenfalls, sieht es dort super schön aus, das Restaurant hat seinen ganz eigenen Vibe, der super schön ist. Draußen gibt es auch ein paar Bänke die auch echt bequem sind. Wir sind sehr positiv überrascht, und würden es gerne wiedermachen"

"My husband and I had a nice evening in Texas Weimar last weekend. Recommended for special occasions. Even if it was very well visited, you had enough space for care. The restaurant has a special ambience, the beer garden is cozy. All tidy and clean. Staff friendly and flink, eating an experience that is repeated. Despite the many guests, we didn't have to wait half an hour. The prices for the portion size and the taste experience are quite reasonable. The table reservation here about facebook has worked smoothly within minutes. We can recommend this restaurant immediately and look forward to the next time. Those who do this at the highest level also with regard to staff. And it means how it calls into the forest, so...!"

"We were looking forward to a pleasant dinner in a historic restaurant, but the food was mediocre and the staff were unfriendly, unwelcoming and possibly xenophobic. We had booked a table online and received a confirmation message on the restaurant's website, although the promised follow-up...email did not arrive. The restaurant claimed to have no knowledge of our booking and tried to make a big issue out of the fact that we had not received the promised email, implying that it was our fault. (The restaurant wasn't full and they had loads of empty tables We very nearly walked out at that point, but unfortunately we chose to stay. Not recommended."

"Wir waren zum Essen da. Uriges und familiäres Ambiente, sehr netter Service. Man kann vor Ort ungarische Würzpasten kaufen und wird dazu beraten. Speisekarte mit schöner Auswahl. Portionen sind riesig und zumindest für uns nicht schaffbar. Beruhigend war, dass uns gesagt wurde, dass die Kartoffel- und Gemüsereste an die eigenen Haustiere verfüttert werden. "While walking on Wiemar streets and searching somewhere to eat, saw this place randomly. Never checked its reputation or anything. Because just wanted to eat sth and continue tour on Wiemar. However it was delicious, juicy burgers, amazing fries and hand made ketchup and mayo. It is very above expectations. Little comments on soft drinks, they are a bit expensive. Such as Fritz was 3.5, most of similar business sell around 2-2.5. But tasty burger definetely deserve its price. If visit Wiemar once again, I know where to eat. Highly recommanded."

"Couldn't believe the most appalling treatment from the waiter over Christmas on taking my parents to a supposedly friendly atmosphere and retaraunt from the minute we walked into the restaraunt and asked a simple question of which table we could sit at and if it was self service or not! On just smiling and waving to acknowledge we were at the back of the restaraunt waiter comes up slams the menus on the table and demands to know what I'm doing...! When I tried to speak just cut me dead and so I said it was probably best to go as he was so rude to which he replied yes please go I don't want to serve people like you, then went to another table and loudly proclaimed for the whole restaraunt to hear they had better be careful with him as I had said he was rude...! So the supposed reputation of a family run business and all welcome is most certainly not true ! So if you truly wish good service go somewhere else in Weimar - there is definitely no warm welcome for everyone at this restaraunt!"

"Von dem Moment an, als wir Johann’s Hof betraten, war die Atmosphäre unglaublich. Das Personal begrüßte uns mit echten Lächeln und tadellosem Service, was uns sofort willkommen fühlte. Diesem Ort nur 5 Sterne zu geben, fühlt sich wie eine Untertreibung an; er verdient eine ganze Galaxie von Sternen! "Someone must have had a sense of humour when they named a restaurant in Weimar Shakespeares considering the town is the home of two of Germany's greatest writers? Perhaps this happened in when England were victorious over (West) Germany in the final of the...World Cup? I think we should be told . . . Anyway, the food and drink that my friend and I received here was fine, with the final bill for several beers each and two mains running in at around thirty euros. Service was attentive and efficient. Would use this place again if visiting the town."
