"Given the price-performance ratio, this is a tourist trap in all areas (including the pretentious and yet tasteless interior design). it already started with the service: no smile, no greeting, no thanks, communication only in nouns (we all speak German as a drink. I ordered a wine beer. something that is a standard offer in a German restaurant. the order was taken over and the waiter came back shortly to tell me that weizenbier was over, but in a way, as if I had known better before the order. as eating I had the chanterelles with fried empties. I received a plate with a gray, oversalted, but otherwise tasteless sauce, which was obviously finished and contained some sweet and some mushrooms. in this sose leaves some slices of tasteless emptying as well as a side salad. this inn of a teller brought me back euros. never again will I set foot in this restaurant!"

We ate in the garden at the rear of the restaurant and had our dog with us. The staff were excellent despite the language barrier, although they do have English menus too. Great service, tasty food, generous portions.

We dined in the beer garden at the rear and enjoyed a fine meal. Service was attentive and friendly. In my view this place deserves a higher ranking not least because of the plum soup and walnut ice cream a truly outstanding confection!

that is a beautiful German restaurant in front of the St. paul peter church. we sat outside and had a gothic look at the church. we came to lunch and ordered the thüringer sausage and carved with mushroom sauce and fired croquettes. that was eating. chic and comes in large portions. View menu

we really enjoyed eating here. we eat here twice, in which it was hard to get a table anywhere else without reservation. both of us enjoyed our meal very much, but the ease of the staff very much appreciated. this is a turnkey place with. a great view during the good-weather season.

visited for a birthday meeting and sat in the beer garden. the food was delivered quickly, large portions of German food, very tasty. the service was very polite and helpful if one of us had wished concrete. some were a pain, but that was in this summer in all of Europe. a good experience.

Vey bad experiece . We had to wait 1 1/2 hour for our dinner saterday evening. When we asked the waiter what was happening she got very unpolite and asked back in a very nasty way. In the end I got my risotto but unfortunately the rice was not boiler. The device was in the standard of the old time of DDR View menu

We had been to an early evening concert in the Herderkirche, so were pleased to find a nice restaurant on the Herder square overlooking the church and the statue of Herder (an influential figure in early Romantic German literature). I had a Rinderroulade (beef roly-poly...if you like) and my wife had the Lachsfilet (salmon filet), washed down with a Pils and a Müller-Thurgau respectively. Very nicely cooked and good service.

How happy we were, dining twice, outdoor, in this nice restaurant with a view of the Herderkirche (there is also good indoor seating, and they have a garden in the back). Good dishes, some real traditionals, dedicated staff. We felt at ease. You can have...black pudding with sauerkraut if you wish (delicious). The second day we had Schnitzel with Pfifferlingen' cantharelles). You better keep some place for desserts like Apfelstrudel or Kaiserschmarn. .
