La Tarte - Menu

Had a really scrumptious meal in a casual, informal atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Excellent meal could improve on the wines though. Definitely go back on our next visit.

This restaurant is located in a very special place, here you can see how the old houses were build. A lovely garden. We were served in the 2nd floor, not a great atmosphere. Service was very good, but the food and the wines a big...disappointment. Not a good day for the chef. Go there rather for a lunch and tea in the garden.

Ich war öfters im Restaurant "La Tarte", sowohl in einer größeren Gruppe beruflich und auch danach, weil es mir so gut gefallen hat, zu zweit an einem ruhigen Abend. Stets war der Restaurantbesuch sehr schön; die Karte ist vielfältig und französisch angehaucht, die Weinauswahl sehr gut. Das Personal ist aufmerksam, auch wenn nicht alles "schnell, schnell" geht - aber auch das gehört dazu, sich einfach mal Zeit zu nehmen und den Abend genießen. Merci pour une petite France à Weimar. Came here for dinner, had a three course set meal. Visitors may be relieved to discover that there is little in the way of heavy German cuisine here; it is basically French with possibly a dash of Italian thrown in. There were about five items...to choose from, For my mains I ordered a traditional Alsatian dish called ‘Flammkuchen’ which turned out to be a very thin pizza covered in raw onions. It was almost inedible until the onions were removed. In all other respects the restaurant is pleasant and the staff were friendly. Probably my fault for ordering the wrong dish.

Wir waren mit Freunden für einen gemütlichen Abend hier. Sehr zentral gelegen. Ambiente ist gelungen und stimmig. Das Essen war durchweg sehr gut. Von der Menge und Preis her tendenziell eher knapp bemessen aber mit sehr guter Qualität. Ein Punkt Abzug für den Service. Das Restaurant war voll ja, wir haben auch gern gewartet auf das Essen (alles kam gleichzeitig, top!) aber was Getränke angeht einfach unaufmerksam. Die Wartezeiten hätte man gut mit weiteren Getränken verbracht, trotz leerer Gläser ist das niemanden aufgefallen und Sevicepersonal war selten zu sehen am Tisch. Ausbaufähig. In der Summe trotzdem klare Empfehlung für einen. Besuch.

Two weeks ago my friend and I dined out at this restaurant. The design looks okay, not that elegant, yet it doesn't seem too plain. We arrived 15 minutes earlier than the reservation time. Some tables were still empty and a waitress told me that...we could just sit and wait, but should not wish that my dinner would arrive earlier too in a very unfriendly manner. What a horrible start! The food was fine, no complain. After the payment using credit card, she somehow didn't give us the payment receipt and told me that the bill copy should be enough. She even took the tip without saying thank you and just left. Definitely will not come back to this restaurant with horribly poor service. View menu

we managed to book a table last minute on a Friday night that was great. we sat in the yard, because the weather was nice. we ordered a flaky cake as an appetizer and they were really nice to us 2 different beats on one. flaky cake (the traditional version and artichokes with lachs) without price. the flame cake was delicious and I think if we get a hungry for flamecake, we go back. the salad with goat cheese was a bit too sweet. the rest of the food we have ordered (beftare and steak with frits) was ok, except the sides were strongly salted, which was a real shame, as we could not eat much of the otherwise delicious homemade pommes or really enjoy it. the recommended wein was not really aft...

... ja, wenn da nicht der unkonzentrierte Service wäre, der Essen vergisst, der mehrmals läuft bis alles zusammen ist und der einem einfach mal eine Zeit bis zur ersten Ansprache warten lässt. Wir waren mit 8 Personen nach Vorbestellung kurz nach Abendöffnung im Restaurant. Obwohl noch nichts los war, mussten wir recht lange auf den Service warten. Mit der Zeit wurde es etwas voller und damit für unseren Servicemann auch entsprechend hektischer.Das Essen jedoch war überzeugend, sehr gute Küche. Alles, das meiste, was bestellt war wurde ja auch geliefert, war auf dem Punkt, bis auf eine etwas verkochte Nachlieferung, die jedoch auch geschmacklich einwandfrei war. La Tarte is one of our favourite restaurants in Weimar. We eat there at least once per week. We spend 100's of Euro here every month. Last night was a big dissapointment however. I saw the Menü du Moment earlier this week and told my...husband we have to go and try the new dishes. I ordered the Cremige Erbsensuppe mit Schmorsalat und karamalisierter Jakobsmuschel. The soup was lovely but arrived without the Jakobsmuschel. We ordered the Surf Turf for main course. It should be Rinderfillet mit flambierten Risengarnelen, Blumenkohlröschen, Pommes allumettes und Sauce Béarnaise. This time our food arrived without the Blumenkohlröschen. The meat was lovely.
