"Ich bin einer der Gäste aus der 9er-Runde, aus der o. g. Bewertung. Ich möchte die Bewertung von unserem geschätzten Freund nicht unkommentiert lassen. Die Kritiken sind nur teilweise berechtigt und nicht nur in meinen Augen, sondern auch in den Augen der übrigen Teilnehmer der Runde, absolut überzogen!Das Restaurant war in der Tat sehr gut besucht, was beim Janni sehr häufig der Fall ist. Der Service war an dem Abend gut gefordert, aber keineswegs überfordert. Die Wartezeit war etwas länger als sonst, aber vollkommen im Rahmen. Das Service Personal war keineswegs unhöflich! Ja, die Reaktion der Bedienung auf das Feedback unseres Freundes zu seinem Essen war nicht wirklich diplomatisch und professionell, da mangelte es der Bedienung an Erfahrung. Aber die Gesamtleistung und die Qualität des Restaurants so vernichtend darzustellen, ist unfair und nicht objektiv. Ich esse gerne Fleisch und kenne mich damit gut aus (das weiß auch unser Freund).Ich fand die Qualität des Fleisches absolut i.O. und den Preis absolut angemessen. Alleine die Formulierung, dass „ nahezu jedes andere griechische Restaurant in Weinheim um Welten bessert wäre“ zeigt wie überzogen diese Bewertung ist. Ich würde mir bei den Bewertungen in Zukunft weniger Arroganz und mehr Souveränität von den Bewertenden wünschen. Ich kann das Restaurant mit absolut gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen."

"We (two adults and three children) were here on recommendation from friends and we did not regret it. The place was almost completely occupied on weekdays at 8:00, fortunately we had reserved in advance. The well-stocked restaurant demanded the owner of the restaurant a lot, as he took over both the service and the sink alone, but we quickly got the card and the ordered drinks. For dinner: before we ordered grilled peperoni, which were beautifully dressed with herbal salad and grilled white bread on the table, optically and tastefully excellent. To the main course we had classic gyros with rice/pommes and tzaziki. Rice/Pommes and Tzaziki were excellent and especially the garlic note of Tzaziki was the right measure for my taste. The Gyros meat was not dry and seasoned, but nicely juicy and also delicious for children. The ambience: admitting something in the years did not come inconveniently and, as already experienced differently, overloaded by the acropolis romanticism, there was nothing to complain about cleanliness. Conclusion: We were fully satisfied, tastefully delicious food, cozy ambience and an owner who made a good mood with his Greek charm and the one or other funny saying. We like to come back."

"Wir haben Ortskundige bzw. -ansässige nach einem Restaurant in der Nähe unseres Hotels (nh) gefragt. Ein "Grieche" (hatte Ruhetag) und ein "Italiener" wurden uns von unterschiedlichen Personen genannt. Die Wegbeschreibung zum "Italiener" war jedoch durchweg fehlerhaft oder es war ein anderes italienisches Restaurant gemeint.Jedenfalls haben wir d i e s e s Restaurant dann eher zufällig, umrahmt von einer Sportanlage (Fußball, Tennis) gefunden --> es handelt sich aber nicht um die dort ebenfalls in Blicknähe ansässige "Vereinsgaststätte" von der man einen direkten Blick auf die Tenniscourts (indoor) hat. Allerdings war an dieser Vereinsgaststätte ein Hinweisplakat auf das Giardino zu finden. Interessanterweise kannte ein von uns an der Hauptdurchgangsstraße angesprochener Rettungswagenfahrer der sich offenbar vor seinem Heimatstandort befand das Lokal nicht, obwohl es sich nur gefühlte max. hundert Meter in seinem Rücken befand.Deshalb ist dies scheinbar auch die erste Bewertung.Das Sitzen war angenehm, wir wurden sehr zuvorkommend bedient*, das PreisLeistungsVerhältnis war gut (*vom Patrone? nachdem die Servicekraft, die zunächst an unseren Tisch gekommen war,mit unseren Detailfragen, wie nach den geführetn Biermarken, überfordert war). Besucht war das Restaurant zu diesem abendlichen Zeitpunkt - gegen 18 Uhr - schwach. Eigentlich schade --> da täte Werbung vermutlich gut."

"Wir kamen am Donnerstag mit einer Gruppe von 8 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern gegen 18.30 Uhr im Lokal an. Tisch war reserviert. Wir mussten die Tische erst zusammenstellen. Um 20.00 Uhr kam endlich das Essen. Besteck musste nachgeordert werden. Zum Essen: Zwiebelrostbraten Fleich hart. Mein Gillteller, 3 Mini-Steaks hart und die Bratkartoffeln kalt. Kein Steakmesser. Hörte noch jemand an unserem Tisch, dass das Essen kalt sei. Na ja, 2 sind in meinen Augen genug"

"Wir waren Freitag Abend zu viert hier und hatten 1x die Vorspeisenplatte und 1x die gegrillten Garnelen vorweg.Anschließend haben wir Mixed tandoori, Palak paneer, Chicken curry und Lamb Masala bestellt. Alle Gerichte waren geschmacklich sehr gut, das Mixed tandoori und das Naan war hervorragend.Im vorderen Teil des Restaurants ist das Ambiente sehr gemütlich, im hinteren Teil hat man durch die große Glasfront einen tollen Ausblick auf die umliegenden Dächer Weinheims.Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Anschließend wurde uns noch ein Schnaps angeboten.Für uns haben hier die wichtigen Komponenten Qualität, Ambiente und Service perfekt gepasst - wir kommen sicher wieder!"

"Früher waren wir mind. einmal die Woche im Biergarten, jetzt gehen wir nicht mehr hin, obwohl nur ein paar Minuten Fussweg. Das Essen ist nicht mehr frisch, sondern alles schmeckt von Gefrierfach in die Friteuse. Schnitzel kleiner und teurer, Pommes extra, Salat extra und schwimmt in Salatsauce. Küche macht zu wenn immer die möchten. Einfach mal ein Bier trinken nach 21 Uhr an einer heißen Sommernacht geht nicht, da entweder geschlossen oder schief angeschaut. Eine Bedienung ist so nett, aber wehe man erwischt die Andere, die steht wohl jeden Tag mit dem falschen Fuss auf. Man fühlt sich nicht willkommen, man möchte sich fast entschuldigen, dass man Gast ist. Mein Tip, endlich mal eine andere, nette Bedienung und wieder frisches Essen, das nicht von Metro geliefert wird. Sehr Schade, da das einzige Restaurant im Dorf"

"That's the real deal. We wanted to get away from Heidelberg and the tourist trap restaurants and were thrilled. My wife and I were the only two English-speaking people in a very crowded place and I loved it. The food was excellent and... proportions were great. Small but very cozy atmosphere and friendly enough service. Seems to be family business and popular with locals. The only reason I had there was 4 out of 5 review is because the apple strudel seemed to be microwave from a frozen prefabricated piece, similar to something you can buy in the frozen part of a food. Everything else was great, but and good value for money."

"We stayed at the Schmitt restaurant for dinner today and are completely satisfied. "Meine Freundin und ich gingen heute im La Cantina essen. Wir bekamen sofort die Karten. Ich stellte der Bedienung die Frage, ob in einem Pastagericht Fleisch drin ist. Leider sprach er so schlechtes deutsch, dass er meine frage nicht verstand und seinen kollegen rief. Der Kollege, der genauso wenig deutsch sprach, konnte mir diese einfache frage genauso wenig beantworten und entgegnete mir mit einem frechen 'Ich weiß nicht'. Ich sagte nichts und bestellte trotzdem. Das Essen war schmackhaft, leider für die qualität mehr als überteuert und überbewertet. Lieblos hingeklatscht und appetitlich sah es auch nicht aus. Als wir dann bezahlen wollten, teilte man uns mit, dass der chef nicht im Haus sei und erst kommen müsse, da alle Bedienungen anscheinend nicht fähig sind, eine normale Rechnung zu begleichen. Als wir bezahlen wollten, merkte ich zudem, dass mein Gericht, welches in der Karte mit 14,90€ beschrieben wurde, auf der rechnung plötzlich 17,90€ kostet. Absolute Frechheit für ein paar Nudeln mit Pilzen und ohne fleisch! Auch wenn man Bedienungen mit fehlenden Deutschkenntnissen einstellt sollte sich der chef wenigstens im Hause befinden, um mögliche Probleme zu klären. Ich werde dieses Restaurant nie wieder betreten und rate jedem davon ab."
