"I finally discovered what raw black pudding tastes like today, and, unsurprisingly, it wasn’t good. Eating it raw clearly revealed how “past its prime” the food was. Since this restaurant is right next to us, I’ve given it numerous chances since it opened, but it always seems like the staff are overwhelmed, and the food quality is honestly quite poor. From the very first day, we’ve had entire meals refunded at the request of apologetic staff due to ridiculously long wait times, and I can't believe it's still this consistently bad after all these years. There was no offer to compensate for the raw dish I was served, and we had to wait a long time just to get the bill. The initial drink service was great, but the restaurant is clearly understaffed. Having worked in management as a chef for over a decade, I can confidently say that if raw food is slipping through the cracks, it indicates serious issues in the kitchen, and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
