"There's plenty of parking available, and it's conveniently located not too far from West Kirby beach, making it a nice spot for a stroll afterward. The highlight of our visit was definitely the staff, especially one young woman with striking green and black hair who was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Despite the busy atmosphere, she handled everything with ease and made our experience even better. I just wish I had caught her name because she truly was fantastic! Vegetarian options: There are plenty of choices for vegetarians. Parking: Ample parking available close to the entrance. Kid-friendliness: Many families were there, and it appeared there were lots of options for children to eat and enjoy."

"We stumbled across Green Onion for breakfast after a wander around the marine lake. They offer gluten free bread for all of their breakfast sandwiches or as an accompaniment for the full breakfasts. The sausages are not gluten free but the black pudding is so they will offer extra bacon or black pudding in place of the sausage on your breakfast. The servers are really knowledgeable about the ingredients in the food that they serve so they make you feel safe. Most of the menu is locally sourced too which is great and they had vegetarian and vegan breakfasts available too, as well as dairy free options and milks. Really friendly staff and dogs are allowed so would highly recommend!"

"We visited during The Open mid July 2023 and ate from the special Golfers’ 2 course menu. I had the pork dish while my husband had the slow roasted lamb. Both were beautifully presented as well as delicious and served with seasonal vegetables cooked to perfection. Homemade bread and butter pudding and baked Alaska followed; both were the best we’ve ever tasted! We were told that this place is all about the food and indeed, the food wouldn’t have been out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. The service did not disappoint either. Julian and Jackie are a fab team. Yes, the decor/ambiance could maybe do with a tweak or two but this place is a hidden gem on The Wirral and great value for money."

"My first visit here and it was an excellent choice! A set menu but with various options including Vegetarian choices so something for everyone. The gentle background music was not intrusive for my Tinnitus and so it was easy to chat so many places are noisy the service was friendly and efficient, the food well seasoned and cooked. I was delighted to find a Tanner's Wine List with varied selection. All said a happy evening with good company."
