"I've been there a few times when I like the big food very much! Greek, but still don't slander as many others, because everything is very tasteful! salt baked fish especially mentioned! inexpensive for a seabas but great! the main area in the entrance has tight packed tables and lacks in any personality, while the rear tunnel looks great. the attention to the removal of used harness from the waiters was quite a problem and they seemed stretched without a smile over their boobs. will go again with better expectations, as I do well to spread over meraki to all and see if I am right in my views."

"My wife and I don't dine out often, but when we do, we look for places that offer delicious food at reasonable prices. The Coach House in New Romney has consistently surpassed our expectations and is by far the best place to eat in town. What sets The Coach House apart is its focus on quality. "Fabulous food. Definitely some of the best tapas I've ever eaten. Loved that there were so many Greek tapas options and how good they were! The atmosphere inside was really charming. I particularly enjoyed the little paragraph of history on the back of the menu. Service could have been better ordering by marking your choices on a piece of paper is certainly more efficient, and I did enjoy that aspect, but is also pretty impersonal. More importantly, we did have to wait a long time on a relatively quiet night with our coats on indoors for our dishes to be cleared. Menus were pretty sticky. The waitresses were pleasant enough though, and it didn't really impact too much on the night Overall, I'd definitely recommend and would love to go back."

"The most delicious meal I've had for a really long time. Booked this last minute slightly on a whim because not our usual cuisine. The chicken souvlakia was absolutely unreal. The chicken was thick, incredibly moist and the flavour was absolutely delicious. We had a mese mix of smaller plates, about 5 or 6 and that was perfect for 2 people. The pita breads were warm and the dips were so tasty. We also had chicken wings which had so much flavour and crispy just in the right places. The pudding was a malt chocolate slice and again, delicious. This was slightly on the pricier side, but for me, absolutely worth it. Whilst the dishes were very simple, the attention to detail and the amount of flavour was so fleshing.The interior was full of love and attention, with pretty plants and artifical vines on the beams. The host was very friendly and the overall experience was just so nice. Highly recommend."

"Yesterday evening the 2nd February my wife and her friends visited this establishment. There were 4 of them in total. I asked my wife if she could bring me home a chicken gyros after her meal as I love the Greek gyros. On returning home I enquired as to how her meal was. In response she said “it was not only the worst Greek food she’d had, it was the worst food she’d ever eaten” . That’s saying something as we visit Greece at least once a year and love authentic Greek cuisine. She explained that the starters were poorly prepared and ‘a strange combination of ingredients’ . The main course for all 4 of them was over cooked and dry to the point all them left their food and when asked by the waitress if everything was okay ? the response was an emphatic no, to which a a mumbled response was given but no offer of an apology or reduction in the bill. Looking forward to my gyros and hoping it was better than my wife and her friends experience I was sadly disappointed. There was a total of roughly 4 greasy, soggy chips. Roughly 5 or 6 small dried out chicken pieces and the salad looked at least 2 days old and also dried out which went straight in the bin.The pita bread was okay though. The reason I’m writing this and not my wife is she doesn’t like confrontation but I feel restaurants should be held accountable for poor food and service. You would think in this present economical climate restaurants would be making every effort to give a good service when finances are tight, after all you need repeat customers. My wife and her friends paid over £120 for an extremely sub standard experience and then paid £7.50 for an extremely sub standard gyros which went into the bin. I decided to share a photo of my £7.50 gyros. I’m also more than willing to speak in person to the owner, chef if they’re happy to."

"The food at this restaurant was fantastic! I highly recommend trying the garlic bread with cheese, it was absolutely delicious. However, the service was a bit slow as we had to wait about 15/20 minutes to place our order. There was also a slight confusion with payment, as we had already paid when another person asked us if we were paying with cash or card. Despite this, the staff were very polite. Overall, I would rate the food a 5, the service a 3, and the atmosphere a 5. I would consider this place for a dine-in dinner option, with prices ranging from £10-20 per person."

"Staff were very professional when it came to ordering and making sure the order was correct but I wouldn’t say they were very friendly or approachable at all(quite miserable to be honest with you) Food was OK/good but way way far too expensive for what you get. £13 for a prawn starter with only 4 king prawns isn’t good value for money. Although they tasted lovely but again definitely not worth the £13. My main was a chicken dish which lacked in flavour so I asked for some gravy to add on it as others who we were with had decided on a roast dinner. After receiving the bill, I couldn’t believe they charged me £2.50 for a tiny and I mean absolute tiny pot of gravy to add to my unflavoured meal. £4 for a small bottle of coke is also a joke and £4 for a few slices of bread as well is shocking. Yes the place is nice but way toooo over priced for what you get as well as overrated as well. Bottom line is, they seem to want to squeeze every little bit of money from their customers as much as they can possibly can. Wouldn’t return as far too expensive as well as overrated too."

"We arrived early for our booked table for six, after driving 350 miles to meet family, arranged a couple of months ago. We were told that our table had been given to another party who had arrived late and lingered over their food, and there was nothing that could be done, despite us hanging around for them to arrange a solution. While we were having this conversation another party of six turned up and were ushered past us and seated at a hastily arranged table right in front of us. Terrible customer service, compounded by the owner later attempting to get my wife to remove her review with an offer of a free meal at a later date. We don 't want a free meal in the future. We wanted the meal with our family that we 'd driven the length of the country to have. I would have expected the Greek owner to understand family values such as this. [Edited to add a response, as that 's the only way I can do so: At no time did I become aggravated , and we gave your staff plenty of time to sort out a solution. I think that you may have been rather misled by your staff as to how the situation unfolded, perhaps they feel that they need to present themselves in a better light than the actual events would show. Also at no time did your waiter ask us for five minutes . If he had, I would gladly and quietly have waited. I am sorry to say that all your protestations about how upset your staff are do not sit at all well after what we experienced on the day. Only one of your waitresses expressed any concern for us at all, and she was apparently powerless to act to make the situation better. No matter. Just another experience of poor service. I 'm sure we 'll survive."

"It is a real shame that I'm not a coffee drinker as the reviews here all appear to praise the coffee at this place. For my part, I was looking for a quick bite prior to attending a conference at the convention centre nearby. I popped in on the off chance and saw bagels on the menu, which was ideal. I found a stool at the wall counter and was served pretty quickly with a fresh toasted bagel with jam and butter. Although this place is fairly small, it began to fill up so I couldn't stay long. It is clearly popular, so definitely worth a visit if you're in the area."

"Had dinner with Friends here and we were blown away be the quality. By far the best fried zucchini and tzatziki ever! The deep fried whitebait was “to die for” and fried [fresh] Calamari rings delicious. We went for two mezzo dishes each and the portions were sufficient for all 4 of us to share. Service was exceptional and by the end of the evening we learnt that this Greek restaurant is run by an Albanian well done to him for an all round awesome experience"

"I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time and I absolutely loved everything about it. The servers were attentive and the food was delicious. Although I don't typically enjoy sweet treats, I was pleasantly surprised by Mama's baklava and ice cream, which we shared. The service, meal type (dinner), and atmosphere were all top-notch, earning a perfect score of 5. I highly recommend trying the Lamb Souvlaki and Baklava dishes. "Went here to dine with a family member I hadn't seen for 3 years. I initially thought it wouldn't be great because my first choices were booked up, however, Bistecca superseded my expectations by a mile. The service was calm and very warm, especially with the manager (I believe it's a family-run business), who intentionally was a bit slow to take orders so the kitchen wasn't overwhelmed. The food was great, with the t-bone steak done perfectly to what I usually like (medium). The food was very quick coming out of the kitchen and nothing felt too heavy and the flavours weren't overwhelming. Overall, would I recommend this? Absolutely. Try it out!"

"Restaurant is lovely inside nicely spaced seating. Atmosphere was relaxed it wasnt loud, we was seated in a cosy booth. Fantasic choices on menu, we had 2 meat eaters a vegetarian and im a vegan. "I visited the Greek arch recently with my wife and sister dining in for our evening meal. Second visit to this place after a previously good experience. We came away very disappointed, the food was reheated and the chicken kebabs were dry and tough, my kleftico was the fattiest I've ever encountered! The young waiter cleared our plates while my wife was still eating, and later went to the toilet (door straight from the dining area) and did not wash his hands as the hand dryer wasn't used. The owner seemed to want us out and we felt rushed. Last straw, when we got home realised we'd been overcharged £5 for a drink we didn't have. In fairness to the owner our previous visit in high season was good but this visit it was appalling. Make your own minds up."
