Grilled Goat Cheese and Halloumi Salad to start and sirloin and ribeye for mains, all cooked to perfection. Fantastic service great atmosphere.

9 of us went last night for my son’s birthday, it was great, really impressed. We all enjoyed our various dishes, a few of us had steaks because we’d been told they were good there, and yes they were. Will go again.

We made a reservation ahead of time, but we were seated upstairs which was very cold. After we mentioned it, they turned the heating on. I recommend requesting a table downstairs when you book, as the stairs may not be suitable for elderly guests. We eventually got a table downstairs, and although the service was a bit slow, I thought the food was worth the wait. I will definitely be returning.

This was our first and last time dining at this restaurant. The meal was very average and overpriced. We were shocked by the positive reviews this place has received. The staff were rude, except for the young waitresses. The senior staff were impatient and sniggering. Our bill came to over £400, with the wine being particularly expensive. We have paid less for a meal in Manchester. The food was cold and when we complained about a steak, a rude waitress told us to complain if we wanted to before walking away. This is another place that we have driven past loads of times but never visited until last night when we stopped for an early dinner at about 6pm. Service was prompt and friendly. The menu is huge, which always worries me, but our starters and mains were very nicely presented and tasted as if they are freshly cooked. We would have loved to try desserts but we didn't have enough time (our fault, not the restaurant's). We had a lovely meal and definitely plan to return. I think it would also be great to take the family, as there is a good children's menu. Well done to all the staff.

I went to Bistecca with my partner and friends after the carnival for a belated lunch, and most of the service was absolutely fine until it revolved around my order. I opted for a pasta dish (can 't remember the name) which had goats cheese etc in it, but no meat. With this I asked a member of staff if it was possible for chicken to be added to the pasta. The member of staff said that he would speak to the kitchen about the request, to which he said 'yes but you will be charged ' of course, it 's an add on so I expected this! Cruising the Leeds Liverpool canal yesaterday on a hire canal boat with 8 other family and friends for a long delayed special birthday celebration we decided to stop to look for refreshments and a meal in Adlington. Walking round the village we stumbled across this restaurant on the main street and asked if they had a table for 9, we weren't sure they would have room as there was a Country Fair on and the streets and pubs were very busy.
