"Good food, although my dumplings are waiting for it and were cold and I found a la carte choice quite limited. "My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, thanks to the lovely waitress named Olesia. I was fascinated by the flowers in the Greek mountain teapot, and she made extra effort to find these tea flowers for me and even gave me some to take home. While I asked other waiters and waitresses about the flowers in the tea, Olesia was the only one who paid attention and provided exceptional customer service based on my interest. The food was deliciously prepared, and I highly recommend trying the taramasalata here as well!"

"I have visited Bill's a few times and it has been hit and miss, but I thought having breakfast with friends couldn't really go wrong. Firstly, our drinks took forever to arrive due to a lot of confusion, as it was quite busy. Our food finally arrived after 45 minutes, but one order of poached eggs on toast arrived with the toast half soaked in water and cold eggs. We sent it back, and the second order arrived in a similar condition, with the manager placing it back on the table without apology. Two other dishes also had cold eggs, and an extra dish was brought out towards the end because the water bath apparently was not turned on. It was disappointing to find out that eggs, which cost over £12 per plate, are not truly made to order. Only towards the end were coffees and juices offered, which felt a bit too late. When presented with the bill, it seemed like a gesture to take off the cost of my meal (that I did not receive), so I had to ask for the drinks to be removed as well. A service charge was added, which felt like an insult considering the slapdash service and poor quality of food. After this experience, I do not plan on returning to Bill's."

"I visited De Rougemont Manor on Wednesday the 28th of February for Afternoon Tea to celebrate my mum and aunts birthday. When the food was presented to us the crisps to me looked as if they had either been broken or it was at the end of the packet some of the sandwiches were dry and also the cakes had dried out from where I believe they had been cut too early. As a party of five adults and two children we had to keep asking for refills (cheese, jam etc) as we wasn't asked if we needed anything else, we was never asked once if we needed our tea or coffee replenished. I appreciate it may of been short staffed that day due to the weather (it was snowing on and off) as there only seemed to be one member of staff working in the bar/restaurant. I feel really disappointed that the day was ruined by this as it was meant to be a nice get together for joint birthday celebrations. Also I have contacted the hotel and have not had any response back from them which again is awful customer service. All in all I will not be returning unless things are thoroughly improved and what should of been a lovely day celebrating was not."

"We went to the murder mystery evening. The food was trying to hard to be posh and pretentious aka small portions! Expensive for very little and not great quality either. The wild mushroom soup was nice but I couldn’t have told you what flavor it was supposed to be, rather than serving it with a bread roll it was served with lentils and a twist of carrot! The main a lot of us had was shin of beef cottage pie, you know when the best thing on the plate are the roasted carrots that something is wrong! There were 3 quinnels of crusted dried up potato with a slab of fatty gross shin of beef. When we complained that the meat was tough fatty and horrible the chef said well it is shin of beef! Either use a better cut or research how to actually cook it!! There was no sauce or gravy when we asked they brought us some lovely gravy what a waste though that they didn’t put it on the plate! My friend had the pork it was a lovely piece of pork but no potatoes just a shallot and a aubergine relish again only one teaspoon of sauce meaning the dish was dry. The pudding was the best course but one of my profiteroles was empty. There was no drink menus anywhere around although the lady at the bar was lovely. The murder mystery itself was good until the end and we could see them stood next to us deciding who the murderer was this should already be decided it shouldn’t be done at the end depending on which suspects only had one vote. Will not be coming again or recommend them."

"Visited today with a friend, he had been to the other restaurant they have on Allerton Road and enjoyed it. So we were keen to see what the one on Hardman Street was like. Our visits was a Thursday evening and the restaurant was pretty quiet. We were seated quickly, the server gave us the option of where we sat. We were given menus and a glass bottle of ice cold water was given to us. We soon ordered our drinks, a Diet Coke and beer and went for a version of a mixed grill they do for 2. This contained chicken and pork kebabs, sliced chicken, lamb chop, chips, coldslaw, pitta and a spicy gravy. The table was prepared for this and the food was out in 15-20 minutes. The food was excellent, the kebabs and sliced chicken were well cooked and everything had a unique flavour. We are hungry guys but this tray of food filled us easily. The servers was attentive but not overly fussing. They regularly checked all was okay and the food was nice. When we finished. Our table was cleared and much to my surprise we were brought 2 brownies with cream, on the house. These were really nice and although small, it perfectly capped the meal. We were in there roughly 1 and a half hours, and the whole experience was pleasant. The restaurants decor is traditional and clean. The bill came and for the meal for 2 and the drinks only came to £38. Absolute bargain. Highly recommend, we will be back."

"My family decided to dine at this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. The bill for four people came to over £180, including a 10% service charge. Although the food was delicious, I found it to be quite expensive. I also disliked the fact that the service charge was included without any prior notice. Additionally, the drinks were overpriced."

"Sadly, after many years of visiting this establishment, our visit on 11th November 2023 was shocking. This was our first visit since the Coronavirus Pandemic, we arrived at 9.41pm after travelling a long distance for what has always been a monthly treat (pre Pandemic). The people serving were not at all pleased to see us, we placed our order including a fishcake on it 's own (I have a receipt to prove it) the lady who took our order was asked to confirm our order by the chef, he shout angrily and aggressively at her No Fishcake . She then came to us and said, sorry no fishcakes but you can have anything else , we reluctantly ordered a portion of Calamari. The woman who appeared to be in charge was hostile and rude to the lady that was serving us and demanded that she go down stairs to get Tartare sauce. She was not at all pleasant to us neither, it was very clear they wanted to close up, all be it there was a good 15 mins before closing at 10pm. Unfortunately, to add to this hostile reception, the food was awful, the fish and calamari was tasteless despite being freshly fried for us, the mushy peas and tartare sauce were equally as tasteless, the chips, although freshly fried were a little undercooked. All in all our £40.50 meal we travelled miles across London to enjoy after several years of not being here was truly disappointing. As a resident of Maida Vale in the 80 's and 90 's, we have been patrons of Seashell since the days when Princess Diana and her children frequented this establishment. I 'm without a doubt this establishment is no longer run by the previous owners, as the level of service and the quality of food is no comparison. Needless to say I will no be recommending Seashell or visiting again."

"Food was decent as usual) but the service left a lot to be desired. The wrong food was brought out on one occasion and then added to the bill even though no one had ordered it). One item was unavailable which meant two of our party had to reorder. Another item a very simple one) the trilogy was brought out after everyone else had been served. We then had to send the bill back three times as it was incorrect. Our waiters/waitresses were all very apologetic but it was overall a poor dining experience that spoilt a welcome lunch for a new member of our team. We have visited The Life Goddess a number of times for team lunches and never a had problem previously. Sadly, I don 't think we 'll be coming back in a hurry which is a real shame :"

"I haven’t been to the Golden Hind for a couple of years. It’s still great fish and chips. The menu is much larger, so it’s not quite the local chippy anymore. However, my vegetarian friend loved the non-fish menu and had the deep fried mozzarella. The prices have increased a lot, but fish is more expensive everywhere. Service was friendly and helpful."

"This changed hands about a year ago and it’s now a delightful Italian cafe restaurant. Today I had the most wonderful roast vegetable salad that was beautifully presented. Roast vegetables on a dressed leaf base with large pieces of basil, dill and flat leaf parsley and a balsamic dressing round the edge of the wide rimmed bowl. The roast vegetables were slightly warm; not the fridge cold veg you so often get. Very welcoming service made my quick work lunch a real pleasure. A family with a small child was welcomed and I’m sure they had a lovely time. I look forward to visiting again as soon as possible. And they make their own biscotti!!"

"Just been delivered my first order from la favorita and I wont be using them again. Wrong pizzas delivered! Ordered chicken/mushroom and got sausage! Cold and limp. 2 bottles of cola ordered, got 1. Called the restaurant to complain and was told there's nothing they can do about it and blamed uber eats!! "Today I went to @georgesfishbar In #southwoodford which isn’t just your usual fish and chip bar, they also serve the yummiest Greek Cypriot food too George’s was established in 2006 has since won so many different awards for their food- which you can view on their website. On arrival I was greeted by the owner himself George who made me feel so welcome. The shop was very busy with queues out of the door but After trying their food I could sure see why ! Tonight I had their chicken Gyros, Chips, Halloumi, Greek Salad, Cod, my parents had a chicken souvlakia each. All of the food was just so delicious !! The gyros was the best I’ve ever had. The meat was ever so fresh and tender and the actual gyros in pitta was bursting with so much flavour. The chips were the best I’ve ever had too and my parents also agreed. They had a gorgeous sweet taste to them and were cooked to pure perfection and trust me it’s definitely possible to mess chips up. The chips were also lovely thick just how I love them to be. The chicken souvlakia was also gorgeous the chicken was very tender there was plenty of it as was there plenty of salad. The fish was also delicious extremely meaty and more fish than batter which is what I love as usually most fish bars tend to give you mainly batter and hardly any fish!! All of @georgesfishbar food is 10/10 from me and extremely high quality as well as huge portions. You can definitely see how much love and effort goes into their food that all of the ingredients used are of the highest quality. The fish bar itself is also spotlessly clean and covid safe. I definitely recommend everyone to try @georgesfishbar whether it’s for just fish and chips or Greek Cypriot food or both. You won’t be disappointed ! @georgesfishbar is currently undergoing Renovation but will be open fully very soon when restaurants are allowed to reopen for seating inside. "I had booked a table on the restaurant's website for 5pm yesterday, and we(my sister and I) had arrived at the restaurant a few minutes early, soon after we arrived, we were escorted to our table by a very friendly waiter, gave us our menus, but soon them away again, after we said that we had already decided what to order as we had already looked at the menu online, so he took our order, our starter was Spanakopita, which was a traditional spinach and feta cheese pastry pie, and our main was Moussaka, with Rice, and a large Greek salad, with both two bottles of sparkling and still mineral water, with two bottles of lager, and no dessert. Everything about the restaurant was excellent, the service, the food and the vibe in the restaurant, while we were there, so much so, that we booked to come there again next week, which we are looking forward to, so thank you very much to the staff, who made our experience in the restaurant very enjoyable."

"After attending the cafe many times and enjoying the food, admittedly a few years ago. My wife and I went to the cafe with our infant son this morning in a pram. Walking in 2 tables were taken with the entire rest of the cafe empty, we were made to feel that we weren’t welcome with a pram by the staff member due to the fact that they needed “both walkways free”. I offered a compromise of sitting on a table in the window where we definitely wouldn’t be in the way, only to be told this is reserved for tables of 5/6. In a cafe at 9:15 that was 90% empty out of season. Shocking customer service, spend your money elsewhere at the myriad of nice cafes and bars in st Ives. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Wouldn’t be accommodating to this either due to blacking walkways"

"I had the pleasure of attending The King Arms first Vegan night a full vegan menu of 3 starters 3 mains and 3 deserts (see pic) The Chef Ben was very strict on the night not to serve meat dishes but encouraged people to try vegan the food was very yummy, i had Mushroom falafels as a starter (big enough as a main) served with 3 dips and a salad. For the main i had Portobello mushroom with a wild mushroom filling topped with vegan cheese served with a sprouting salad and for the desert Chocolate Brownie with ice cream which was of the brownie scale i can tell ya all for £20. Vegan night is every Thursday and the normal daily menu has vegan options. If you in Cornwall this is a must highly recommended."

"This place is always busy, purely due to the location. We go infrequently, always hoping things have improved, but they never have. This visit was an invitation from friends for brunch, which I’d never had there before. Four of us had the Full English. It was terrible in every aspect. Looked awful, streaky bacon (2 rashers! , really fatty, over cooked sausage, snotty egg, despite telling them how I wanted it cooked, slices of REALLY thin cold sourdough bread, half a tomato the size of a 50p, the same for the solitary mushroom. Don’t get me onto the baked beans, a pot the size of an egg cup, I’m not joking. Oh, and if that wasn’t bad enough, the whole plate was cold. The tea was like gnats, despite letting it sit to brew. Just awful. Don’t get me on to the service. Lazy complacent waiting staff. When I complained, they challenged me! Excuse me! Hugely overpriced for the portions and quality. Come on guys, Sort yourself out. Don’t just rely on footfall because of the location. Up the ante and make it a real destination to visit, for a truly enjoyable experience. Such a shame, but it’s about time that things changed."

"We visited for my sons 3rd birthday. 3 adults had their meals 20 minutes before the 2 children had theirs. We had finished before they had their meals. 3 year old especially was upset by this and didn't understand the wait I had to chase it up twice. When it came the 10 year olds burger came without chips (we had ordered them separately) so I gave her what was left of mine. Another 7 minutes she had finished then the 3 year olds came. They'd obviously forgotten about it as it was far too hot so he had to wait longer to eat it. No explanation. Club sandwich- No pulled pork. Basically an over priced ham and cheese toasted sandwich. Chips finally came for my daughters burger after everyone had finished. Youngest barely ate as he'd filled up on my burger bun while he was waiting. Overall £75+ for a total disaster birthday meal"
