"This changed hands about a year ago and it’s now a delightful Italian cafe restaurant. Today I had the most wonderful roast vegetable salad that was beautifully presented. Roast vegetables on a dressed leaf base with large pieces of basil, dill and flat leaf parsley and a balsamic dressing round the edge of the wide rimmed bowl. The roast vegetables were slightly warm; not the fridge cold veg you so often get. Very welcoming service made my quick work lunch a real pleasure. A family with a small child was welcomed and I’m sure they had a lovely time. I look forward to visiting again as soon as possible. And they make their own biscotti!!"

Lovely place for lunch, I was met by Nicola who smiled and was very friendly and helpful. The prawn sandwich was quite the most interesting sandwich I’ve ever had! With so many different flavours to accompany it! Lovely and clean with nice toilets too! Recommend this lovely place

to breakfast. very friendly staff. I was the only one who sat there to eat and was served immediately. I had a coffee, and the best beedict I tasted. fresh chopped eggs with two muffins cut ham and excellent hollandaise with a mixed leaf and balsamika salat and fry paprika for less than nine pounds. I will definitely visit again

I found this restaurant to be quite pricey, as I was surprised to receive a bill of £27.20 for two coffees and three desserts. While the coffees and desserts were delicious, they were not worth the high price. You can find similar items for much cheaper at other places. The service was satisfactory, but overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant unless you are willing to spend a lot of money. It is just too expensive.

Lovely little restaurant situated in Moulsham Street just a short 3 minute walk from Chelmsford High Street. Quite cosy and intimate inside, great attentive service with tasty food. However it is a little cramped, which means you will clearly hear the conversation on the table next to you. Similarly, I'm not a fan of kitchen smells, and the cooking and dining area are all in one room. Tasty food, great service, all at a very fair price will definitely return.

My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant while out for a walk in Chelmsford, and we're so happy we did! We tried the eggs benedict for breakfast and were thoroughly impressed by the presentation and flavor. The owners, who are a husband and wife duo, were incredibly friendly and attentive. They mentioned that they now stay open until 10pm on Wednesday through Saturday, so we're excited to come back at the end of the week for some delicious homemade pasta for dinner. Yum!

I stumbled upon this gem of a café while looking for a place to grab coffee and cake before my daughter's pediatrician appointment, and what a find it was! We were greeted with a warm welcome upon entering, and the staff were incredibly kind and friendly to my daughters, making us feel like we were in a friend's kitchen. The cakes were delicious, as was the coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. As we were leaving, we were even given freshly made and still warm biscotti. We will definitely be returning in the future.

"I was appalled at the quality of service from the moment I arrived to the moment I left, which was about When I arrived I was not asked if I would like a drink, and I wasn't asked throughout the whole meal. The waitress should have seen on the table that we only had tap water, and asked whether we'd like another drink. Then, we ordered our first round of hot food. I pressed the help button and after waiting for a good minutes for the waitress finally arrived. I felt it was too long. At this point in the evening there were three full tables in the whole restaurant so I thought the amount of time we had to wait was poor. Then the food started coming over, but the food didn't come altogether. A couple of dishes came and then a few more and a few more after that. This meant we didn't all eat together, we ate all at different times. I had ordered two dishes to eat at the same time and they didn't arrive at the same time. Very disappointing. The third order of hot food was beyond a joke. It was clear that one of the two waitress wasn't feeling very well (I overheard one of the chef's telling her to go home). She was our waitress. So, we ordered the third round of hot food. minutes later we still didn't have our food. In this time the chef was talking to the ill waitress. I then pressed the help button and I explained that we'd ordered some food and had been waiting a rather long time. I then look round at the waitress and chef and it was absolutely clear that the order didn't go through so it was only then that the food was starting to be cooked. The waitress who took the order explained that there's been lots of issues and she was sorry. As a customer paying for a meal, I don't care about the issues, I still expected good service and my food to turn up. Overall I thought the service was absolutely terrible. I will not be visiting this restaurant again and I will not be recommending the restaurant to anyone."
