"I came to cheat while I had made a job in a nearby workshop or there is no possibility that I would have happened over it. but wow, what a beautiful place and good eating. first, it is an attractive and welcoming ambiente in the interior. it was about the Saturday afternoon I was there, but all several external tables were occupied (without external heating) which was the first note on a good place. one of the specials has been described as English sweetcake. to be English, that didn't jump on me, but I ordered it and it was absolutely delicious. a traditional british pie has crimped the baked into a thicker crust around the edges, but this cake was a light circular lid of baked on the vegetables in a pot that got the whole taste, but not too heavy. the spice and the cooking of the sweet and baked were actually all perfect. I would definitely visit for dinner. tasty eating, friendly and welcoming ambiente and nice staff when this swinging fusion is, they count me in"

"We ate lunch at the US MEX this week. We were a group of eight people and had no problems finding a table even though it was lunch time. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was good and tasty, although not superb....Simply said you get what you order: not more, not less... However, price value ratio is good, especially compared with other Mexican restaurants in Switzerland. And the servings are really big nobody of our group left the place feeling the least bit hungry. I wouldn't choose this restaurant for a cozy, romantic dinner, as the atmosphere is not what I would wish for such a setting. However, I would return for a lunch anytime."

"I recently had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant and I absolutely loved it! The roast beef I ordered as a starter was just amazing. It was tender and juicy. By far the best roast beef I've ever eaten! For my main course I chose the tagliatelle with a shrimp carpaccio on top and was not disappointed. The homemade pasta was fresh and perfectly cooked. The combination of the delicious pasta and tender shrimp carpaccio was heavenly. What impressed me the most was the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail. The tomato sauce was perfectly balanced and underlined the flavor of the dishes. It was obvious that a lot of value is placed on fresh, high-quality ingredients. The great ambiance of the restaurant added to my great experience. The decor was stylish and welcoming, and the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed. The restaurant had a modern yet cozy atmosphere that was perfect for an enjoyable meal. Not to forget the super cool staff! The team was friendly, attentive and professional. They had an extensive knowledge of the menu and gave me great recommendations. The wait staff was quick and efficient and they made sure I was comfortable throughout my visit. "Als Kollegen haben wir unseren traditionellen Manneabig erstmals in der Pizzeria Villa Duchessa verbracht. Ich selber habe das Restaurant zuvor noch nicht in dieser Besetzung gekannt und war begeistert.Schneller, freundlicher Service.Preise moderat. Der kleine grüne Salat für CHF 6.50 war zwar eher ein "Muster", dürfte für diesen Preis ein bisschen grösser sein. Ansonsten war wirklich alles drum herum super.Zu zweit hatten wir 4 Bier, 5 dl Hausweis, 2 Salate, 2 Pizzen, zwei Sorbets mit Schuss und bezahlten insgesamt CHF 123.50.Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Duchessa wärmstens empfehlen. Wir haben draussen gegessen."

"Da viele Restaurants zu hatten, haben wir uns kurzfristig für das Brauhaus entschieden für den Brunch. Es ist eine rustikale Beiz, was uns gefällt. Als Kaffee wurde uns eine Thermoskanne auf den Tisch gestellt, das hatte ich das letzte Mal vor 30 Jahren.... auf Nachfrage gab es Cappuccino. Tee gab es Beutel. Das Buffet ist gross aber wirklich nur Standard. Außergewöhnlich sind die Brauerbagel, eine Biercreme und das Bier zum selber zapfen. Das Rührei ist beinah kalt, Speck kalt, Fleischkäse vertrocknet weil er schon so lange unter der Wärmelampe steht.Ich würde den Brunch als ok bezeichnen, nichts Besonderes und nochmals wiederholen wir es nicht. Schade."

"After we were back in Italy in the summer of 2023, we wanted to extend our vacation a little. And so we went to this pizzeria/restaurant for the first time. The pizza with truffles was amazing! In December 2023 we went a second time, this time I ordered Risotto di Mare and my husband ordered pizza with salsicca. The risotto 29. chf rice not cooked, di mare? three small shrimp tails! No mussels, no cancer nothing! Pizza four small pieces, almost cold, little cheese. That's really a pity! We would have liked to come more often, but for 90. chf I ask a little more!! I wouldn't recommend the food!"

The waiter doesn't speak any German and apparently has never worked in a restaurant, because the dishes from our starter were still on our table after we paid. "Als Ersatz für den gepflegten Restaurant Besuch haben wir uns für das Valentins/Love Menu für zwei (als Take Away entschieden. Das Abholen zur vereinbarten Zeit hat bestens geklappt, das 'Menu ' war sauber in einer Kartonbox verpackt. Zu Hause dann, das Staunen, es war alles dabei was zu einem tollen Menu gehört: der Gruss aus der Küche (Ahi Thuna im Sesam Mantel mit Wakame Algensalat , die Vorspeise (Salatbouquet mit Granatapfel, Baumnüssen und Roquefort , die Hauptspeise (Gefüllt Perlhuhnbrust mit Steinpilzen, Kartoffelgratin, Saisongemüse und ein Dessert (Gâteau Moêlleux au Chocolat . Auch für den Kaffee wurden noch kleine Süssigkeiten beigelegt. Dazu eine Flasche Prosecco. Die beiliegende Menukarte beinhaltete auch die Anleitungen für die Zubereitung der verschiedenen Speisen (Wärmen im Backofen oder im Wärmebad etc. so quasi die Gelinggarantie. Das Essen war hervorragend, wir konnten keinen Unterschied feststellen zu Speisen die im Restaurant direkt auf den Tisch kommen. Die Portionen waren sehr grosszügig bemessen es reichte noch für ein Mittagessen im Home Office; Angesichts der Qualität und der Anzahl der Gänge war der Preis absolut gerechtfertigt. Wir waren schlicht begeistert und werden das Angebot auch weiter nutzen."

Nun wenn man soviele positive Feedbacks sieht, das Restaurant in ganz Winterthur auf 3 ist, dann erwartet man natürlich auch was. Und von dem Punkt her haben wir etwas mehr erwartet. Es war sicherlich überhaupt nicht schlecht, die Pasta war hausgemacht und gut. Die Vorspeisen waren gut, aber es fehlte irgendwie überall der WOW Effekt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und immer super bemüht, da würde ich sogar die volle Punktzahl geben. Schlussendlich ist es ein etwas überdurchschnittlicher Italiener mit klassischen italienischen Gerichten."

"Auf vielseitige Aufforderung sind wir ins HerrmannsEck zum Cordon Bleu essen. Die Erwartungen waren sehr hoch! Die ausgewählten Cordon Bleus waren hervorragend. Sie waren gut gefüllt, saftig und das Fleisch von guter Qualität. Die dazu gewählten Pommes Tip Top. Der Service war aber leider nicht wie versprochen. Eine Dessert Karte erhielten wir trotzt Aufforderung nicht und auch sonst schienen wir an unserem Tisch vergessen. Wir bezahlten dann an der Bar. Trotzdem werden wir wieder hingehen und auf einen besseren Tag hoffen. Die Cordon Bleus sind nämlich wirklich unglaublich gut."

"I go here whenever I dont have something to eat at home and want something healthy. There is a wide variety of vegetarian foods all of which very good. If you are less hungry you can get salads and smaller portions but they also have heartier and more filling foods. My personal favorites are the jalapeno poppers dipped in some of the homemade sauces. They have very small glasses for water so if you are very thirsty you can just ask for a bigger glass at the counter. There is also very nice inside and outside dining with a very nice ambience."

"Wir wollten an einem warmen Samstagabend etwas kühles trinken. Also nahmen wir im Alltag Platz und studierten die Karte. Nach ca. 30 Minuten war immer noch kein Kellner an den Tisch gekommen. Man muss erwähnen, dass drei Mitarbeiter anwesend waren, die unzählige Male an unserem Tisch vorbei liefen und lediglich die Hälfte der Tische waren besetzt. Nachdem wir uns bemerkbar gemacht hatten, konnten wir unsere Bestellung dann doch aufgeben. Soweit so gut. Die Getränke waren schnell leer getrunken und Nachschub wäre der Wunsch gewesen. Aber leider Fehlanzeige, es war auch nach einer knappen Stunde nicht möglich ein weiteres Getränk zu bestellen, da die Mitarbeiter nicht auffindbar waren oder die Gäste ignorierten. Deshalb leider der Schluss, dieses Café braucht keine Gäste. Wäre ich der Besitzer würde ich meine Mitarbeiter in Unternehmertum unterrichten."

"Zum 2. Mal haben wir hier gegessen und kommen eher nicht mehr. Pizza und Pasta waren o.k. Das Cordon-bleu zwar riesig und frisch gefüllt aber nicht mit den bestellten Zutaten. Der grosse Salatteller bestand aus drei ! Salatblättern, einer halben Tomate, 4 Scheibchen Gurke und etwas Mais, Randen und Karotten aus der Dose oder dem Beutel! Die Egliknusperli wohl schon länger im Tiefkühler gelagert und zu Tode frittiert. Der Besitzer ist zwar bemüht freundlich muss aber fast alles selbst machen- Service,Rechnungen,Bestellungen und Telefon. Der Koch hatte wohl gerade unser "Testessen" gekocht und besprach am Nachbartisch die Anstellungsbedingungen. Die Serviceangestellte war wohl auch den ersten Tag da und verstand meine Rufe nach Salz nicht- also holte ich es selbst."

"My in laws and I stopped in on a Friday night (no reservations) and the manager squeezed us in their packed house. The atmosphere was really warm and friendly. I ordered a steak while everyone else got pizzas. I'm not even a big beef eater but that steak made me groan on the first bite. Damn it was good. The pizzas were enjoyed by all. The check for 8 people was 300fr, not bad at all really for dinner. Only gripe is that we wanted to order drinks while waiting and couldn't get served. The front house manager was really attentive and made sure we were happy at all times."
