"Schon der Empfang war ausserordentlich freundlich sowie einladend und der Service den ganzen Abend überzeugend – wir vier Freundinnen fühlten uns sofort willkommen. Hier stimmt einfach alles: Gepflegtes, ansprechendes Lokal. Der kreative Küchenchef Riccardo Tortora und der aufmerksame Servicefachmann Danny sind beide sehr kompetente, sympathische und sehr herzliche Gastgeber. Das kulinarische Angebot, welches auf der kleinen aber feinen Karte aufgeführt war, wurde uns von Riccardo Tortora persönlich erklärt! Nach erfolgter Beratung zauberte er mit seinem Küchenteam ein erstklassiges 5-Gang-Top-Gourmet-Menü und überraschte uns mit ungewohnten, interessanten, einfallsreichen Kombinationen – alles aus frischen und saisonalen Zutaten zubereitet. Das mediterrane Essen war vom herrlich duftenden Brot mit bestem Olivenöl, über das Amuse-Bouche, dem 5-Gang-Menü La Tavola, bis hin zum exquisiten Dessert (vom Dessertkoch persönlich präsentiert) ausgezeichnet und liess keine Wünsche offen. Die Teller waren mit viel Liebe zubereitet, jeder Bissen war geschmacklich und visuell ein Highlight für sich! Die Portionen waren sehr ausgewogen und in einer Leichtigkeit gekocht. Auch die selbstgemachte Pasta und einfach alles – ein Traum! Ebenso waren wir mit der Wein-Empfehlung sehr zufrieden. Hier wird dem Gast auf hohem Niveau zu gutem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis viel geboten.Wir kommen wieder und sind gespannt, was uns beim nächsten Mal erwartet. "We had 30 guests and the programme started at 6 pm and went on until midnight approximately. We had ordered an aperitif riche, with white wine, cool drinks, red wine on demand. The service, the food and the logistics were to our fullest satisfaction. The terrace, the bar, the restaurant and the nearby park with the big trees formed a unity perfect for entertainment. Israel von Paulus took care of us and served drinks and food with his team. We enjoyed his personal and fun touch throughout the whole evening. What a very nice evening. I recommend both Bloom as well as Israel von Paulus for your events."

"Our first visit on Saturday evening. We were shown the reserved table without waiting. However, we sat for ten minutes without a map or service until the first contact was made. A laminated menu with labels on both sides was all. We had to ask for everything for the drinks, strange method. The food came pretty quickly after about 20 to 30 minutes and tasted average. The outdoor area is very large, the service is sometimes overwhelmed by the number of guests and is limited to the most necessary communication. I found the design of the terrace to be simple. Conclusion: It's not enough for a recommendation or a second visit, especially since the prices are set quite high."

"As I often do, I just look on the internet on a Sunday to see which restaurant is open and so we drove from Lake Zurich to Winterthur and definitely had another very positive surprise in this restaurant! With another very friendly reservation, we drove there according to the navigation and until now I have never heard, seen or read anything about this restaurant or this area high above Winterthur and for that reason alone we were extremely surprised, even though the weather was bad. When we got there, we were immediately escorted to a beautiful table that was already quite impressive with a white tablecloth and cloth napkins, and when we were allowed to study the menu it was finally proven that there are still restaurants with Stihl and with a selection of what others have Restaurants can only dream! Of course we hadn't already eaten from the selection, but what we got was really of the highest quality, even though there were two souls in the background that were completely full and there wasn't a single table around us available and it was just then possible to bring this quality , was really surprising and extremely satisfactory and more than exemplary! My sincere compliments and we will be going there again soon to eat because here in our area on Lake Zurich I don't know of any restaurant with this quality and this selection. I also grabbed the chef there and told him how great we thought it was because you really should pass on the compliments personally when you experience something so positive"

"Don't let yourselves be fooled! The price-performance ratio is absolutely not right! The portions are really very modest and the prices are astronomical. The food tastes...okay...(for the one star but that's cheating on the whole level. The seemingly friendly service tries to suggest to the guest that they are in a posh establishment (reality: it is on the level of a middle-class sports bar , but anyone with a little sensitivity and social intelligence can see through this quite quickly. You feel emotionally blackmailed after eating and you go home hungry. Not recommended and certainly the last time in this establishment. Don't let yourself be ripped off and go to places like Molino (at least you get something for your money there :"

"We visited the restaurant on Saturday evening just after 10 p.m. Needed a table for 7 people. This was a problem because there was only one table available that was too big. But then we got this. When taking the order, the waiter leaned with his arms at the top of the table. It was very difficult for the guests at the other end of the table to place their orders because the waiter didn't understand anything. He would just have to move a little. We waited 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive! When paying, the waiter asked for a tip like a beggar. He didn't get anything because the service wasn't okay. He even mentioned this to a friend who was paying. Of course, the Football World Cup (SRF2) was shown on the TV screens. I thought it was bad that a feature film continued afterwards. The ambience is otherwise good. The drinks/cocktails were also good. The prices are okay."

"through the old town, which is beautiful, we were hungry, but were looking for something different than a hot lunch in a normal restaurant. we stumbled exactly what we needed. we saw the selection of the great salate, the place was full of men, largely. we ordered the focaccia with nasalat, and, understanding focaccia as a little more dry normally, were pleased to have a type focaccia sandwich filled with as we had chosen from a choice) tomatenmozzarella and basilikum pesto, with a generous sidealat and a good amount of dressing again a choice.) this was absolutely ideal for a very hot day, refreshing. we followed with good coffee ice creams. absolutely tasty and in a quiet backwater, quiet and beautiful."

"I went a couple of times with my colleagues for lunch to ocean five and the overall impression is good, the quality of the food is also good. The restaurant have many tables outside in a sunny square, it is one of the few restaurants...in downtown Winterthur were you could eat under the sun (specially enjoyable in spring). However we had to wait quite a long time to get our plates. If you have a one-hour lunch break it can become tight."

"Apart from the tiny portions, the food was served with a lot of dedication. Each course has space on a coffee plate. The alarm bells started ringing for me right from the start when the sentence came, in our case we leave the restaurant feeling full but not overcrowded..... Oh dear, I thought. To be honest, when I go out to eat, I don't want to go to the fridge afterwards. However, you can always order a supplement, which saved me from starvation. It's just not my style to curtsy as a supplicant for a little more food. Don't think everyone does this because they're ashamed. In terms of taste, I found all the dishes very tasty, although not amazing. Somehow nouvelle cuisine reinterpreted. Meat and vegetables cooked perfectly, really very fine. In my opinion, the descriptions of the preparation and origin of the dishes at the table are too much and seem a bit artificial. In terms of price, that's a challenge. A bottle of affordable white wine costs around 60 to 100 francs, well. Together with the meal around 300 francs I think it's too much. But just. It was no different in Switzerland in the 80s. We simply pay too much in Switzerland. Still, I think there are few restaurants that celebrate food with such dedication. If the portions were a little larger, I would try it again. But only when I have some money in reserve again. The whole thing took too long and got on my nerves. I want to eat and not talk to the person I'm talking to for hours. We spent almost 3 hours in the restaurant. Deduction for price and quantity otherwise recommended. The concept seems to be working. Is always well booked. You can also see this in the little-commented reviews of Trüblis. Don't need to react to it. A pity."

"We were in Winterthur on Sunday quite spontaneously. When we got hungry we went to the National. A very big compliment to the young woman with the great hairstyle who accompanied us through the evening. It was a lot of fun with her. We felt very comfortable and were very pampered by her. "I wanted to order a pizza over the phone to pick up... but this is not possible, I was told very clearly on the phone... very unfriendly lady!!! It's also a little complicated on site. You can either get pizza without a side dish or only with four side dishes. However, if you want a pizza with only one side dish, you pay the same price as for four people. What's the point, pizza should be an easy meal! Pizza is then very tasty, but everything around it is just too complicated, not for me.."

Another time, I was charged CHF 8.50 plus for fried noodles with tofu (instead of just vegetables) on the grounds that the price for tofu was the same as beef. "Order (directly from Swiss-Chicken) placed just before 9:00 p.m. Today 's opening hours until 22:00. Order never arrived. I order there quite often, but this is already the 3rd time that something like this has happened. In my opinion, the staff shortly before closing time just doesn 't really feel like it anymore and simply ignores the orders... If I had ordered something else somewhere else, it would probably have been delivered after 1.5 hours, which ended in a hungry stalemate for me. A delivery service that sometimes arrives and sometimes doesn 't is of no use to me. I will order elsewhere in the future, even if it costs a few francs more."

Wen Du als Gast nach sehr langer Wartezeit vom Tisch aufstehen musst und Dir nur der Weg zur Bar bleibt damit Du Dir gehör verschaffen kannst ist das sehr ärgerlich. Jedoch selbst nach 2-fachem Weg an die Bar immer noch ignoriert wirst ist das schon sehr Kundenfeindlich. Von der Bedinung wurde verlangt das ich 45 Min warten muss bevor ich weiteressen kann! Jahrelang nur sehr gutes Berichten konnte, jedoch nach dem heutigen *Abendessen* was ich kalt Essen musste trotz 45Min Wartezeit kann ich nur jedem abraten diese Restaurant zu wählen, solange eine solch schlechte und in unerhört frechen Ausdrucksweise bedienendes Personal anwesend ist. Sehr enttäuschter Gast !"

"Manta schliesst offiziell um 15.00 h. Ich betrat um 15.03 h das Lokal, um noch ein Sandwich zu kaufen. Ich wollte nichts trinken, als kein Geschirr brauchen, sondern nur ein Sandwich erstehen. Zwei Damen waren am Aufräumen, die eine reinigte die Kaffeemaschine. Einige unverkaufte Sandwiches befanden sich noch in der Auslage. Man gab mir jedoch deutlich zu verstehen, dass das Lokal jetzt geschlossen sei (die Türe stand noch weit offen) und es nichts mehr zu kaufen gäbe.Man möge jetzt raten, ob ich da jemals wieder hingehen werde..."
