"We met close family to celebrate or 50th wedding anniversary, and can honestly say this was the best afternoon tea we have ever had. From the minute we opened the door till we left we found the staff extremely attentive and very friendly. The food was outstanding, the surroundings superb and the whole ambiance of the Drawing Room was perfect. A totally delightful afternoon. As we live in the north of Scotland, it will probably be a while before we are back in London, but when we are The Drawing Room at Browns is a must. "The person who worked behind the counter was friendly and patient when I decided to order a smoothie. I had many questions and he was very helpful. The green smoothie (hate parsley, mint, spinach, kale, oats and more) was well balanced and surprisingly good. My husband got the smoothie with spinach, mango, banana and more was also really good. I had a vegan croissant and it was the best croissant I ever had. The outside was perfectly crisp without being superfluous. The interior was fluffy and a delicate to eat.My husband got a falafel sandwich (hair cheese on it) and he said it was the best meal he had on our London vacation. We went to the situation in Stratford and go back when we're ever in London."

"My missus wanted to go somewhere for brunch, so picked this spot. It did not let us down. Good parking availability on a bank holiday, and we all enjoyed our meals. My burger was cooked a perfect medium, and the gherkins were cut super thin (thick gherkins overpower/ruin any good burger), and the cheese was melted onto the burger Just how it should be. The Aioli the fries were served with was either freshly made, or very high quality pre bought. Fries were crispy, too. The full English wasn't the best, as the sausage was overcooked, and we received fried eggs instead of poached. That being said, mistakes can happen. The service staff (not one, but 4 of them) were phenomenal with the kids. They all said hello, offered the little ones high 5s, and we're very cheerful with the kids. I don't know if this is a rule from management, we just happened to see the right 4 service staff, or my kids happen to be cuter than most But I'm going to go with management expecting their staff to be friendly with kids. Prices were good for the area, but a little overpriced for the food, so no complaints there. Would I visit again? Yes."

"They only take reservations for lunch and dinner. Walk-in only for coffee and desserts. We tried to have coffee and desserts for 3 consecutive days here. First day the waiting list was closed so we left. Second day they said the waiting list will open at 6 so we came at 6 and registered and they never called us back. Third day we came and the reception asked us if it’s for dinner or coffee and we said coffee, so she asked us to wait outside for a few minutes and then she came and asked us if we want a table inside so we said yes and sat. After 15 min the waiter finally came and said that they only serve dinner inside. When we went back to the reception and she asked us to wait again. when we finally sat, it took for ever for the waiter to get our order."

"Visited for dinner on 22 Dec and was underwhelmed by the experience. The menu and food were passable but not exceptional by any standards. The staff were courteous but lacked any empathetic skills, going through the motions like disinterested drones. Noise levels were obtrusive on this occasion but I put that down to a large group of diners with young children, who were not making any attempt to keep the children quiet. The lady who seated us did apologise and try to seat us at a quiet spot Disappointed. Very disappointed."

"The staff were all extremely pleasant and attentive without being too intrusive. Due to the restaurant being fairly empty, we had multiple members of staff with which to deal, though this just ensured speedy service rather than errors being made. Whilst the menu choice was not the best, there were a sufficient number and type of dishes from which to choose, so that everyone in the group (4 of us) was happy with the options. The tapas portions were large enough that we all had a decent taste of each, and apart from the traditional Pide (which received no likes) the consensus was that the food was tasty All in all we had a very enjoyable meal, which, with a cocktail each and two bottles of wine came to a very reasonable £225 (with service charge) ."

"booked via Booking.com last minute. we celebrated our 15th anniversary. Meg. Andrew,Luke and the team could not have been more friendly and friendly, and made our stay so a relaxing, wonderful holiday. we have booked a spacious room and it was really spacious, luxurious and decadent. it was so comfortable and impeccable clean. meg helped us with our luggage and brought us a glass prosecco for our jubilee, it was so friendly and very appreciated. luke helped us with our luggage at the departure and gave us 20% discount from our parking lot on the nearby safe q park on hannover st, right behind the hotel. eating is amazing with a fantastic brunch menu, recommend to book a table as it is very popular, eating is so good, we loved the eggs royale. also at night we gedimt and the pasta dishes are delicious and plentiful. loved the lemon balm cocktail! the chocolate brownies made with home at just £3 are all delicious, I had to bring home with me! beautiful small boutique hotel with bar and kitchen and in a great location near all the best liverpool sights, albert dock practically in front of the door, recommend the beatles magical mystery tour, ferry over mersey, cavern club and candlelit jazz in the big shankly hotel and the whole. highly recommended! it was great."

"3 of us went on a Sunday early evening 29th Feb 2022. Ordered rum punch to share-was delicious but no ice. When we asked for some we were given 3 cubes! We were told they had run out of ice so we reasonably asked 'can 't you go and buy some? ' and were told they had already been out to get some. Someone DID go and get some and we got inundated with another 6 cubes. Ordered wings and salt fish fritters for starters (very tasty). 2 of us ordered burgers and 1 ordered curry mutton. Starters arrived with the curry mutton main meal and we then told that there were no buns! Why was that not said when the order went in? How can you bring along 1 main meal with the starters? Curry mutton meal was delicious but lukewarm. Had an upset stomach since. What a shame! Staff were nice but we won 't ever go back. To the white owners of this chain-a VERY disappointing experience-you MUST go better! Everyone assumes this is a Black owned restaurant and this further gives Black people a bad name!"

"The two of us were seated right at the back. It was just before 12:00 so almost empty but I can imagine it can get very cramped when full, as the tables are set close together and its a small narrow space. We ordered to share: Mushroom Arancini Crab Linguine Tiger Prawns with chilli garlic Buttered Cavolo Nero Everything was absolutely delicious and I can wait to have the exact same meal again! Waitresses kept chatting together near the bar so it was hard to get their attention but when they came over, they were very pleasant. I would recommend this place to anyone for any time of day."

"We booked without checking the menu, and didn't realise their main course is build around rotisserie chicken. I don't eat meat, so we opted for some starters and salads with sides a burrata salad with a side of new potatoes for me, and a cesar salad with extra shredded chicken and a side of truffle mac n cheese for hubby. Food was delicious and well presented. Cocotte spritz is nice and refreshing, and they can make a **** mary which isn't on the menu but is very good. It got a bit noisy so if you would like a more private dinner ask for a quiet table, there are a few standalone ones."

"Went for the Jan half price deal. I don’t think I’d go normally because the menu is so expensive, but the food was admittedly very good, couldn’t complain about any of it. Would have preferred if the beers and ciders had the amounts (500ml or 330ml for example) on the menu, as £6.80 for a 330ml bottle of beer is not good value in my opinion. The downside from our dining experience was the service. My girlfriend described it as “terrible service with a smile”, because while everyone was very welcoming and friendly, our servers would frequently forget drink orders and be less than attentive. It seemed like there were a lot of new staff members and that the system was disorganised which would be a management fault rather than the fault of the servers themselves. So all in all, I enjoyed the food, but the service needs improvement."

Other than things like 'vegan breakfast' I had to ask the server to tell me what things I could eat that felt like a waste of our time!
