"The service was excellent and the restaurant is lovely (wasn't keen on being allocated a table outside, but they moved us inside on request). Cocktails and bar really good too. Wasn't super impressed with the food. It looked nice but wasn't actually that tasty. Still had a decent night, but wouldn't go back. Can get much nicer meals for same price or less."

"We had a group booking on a Friday evening.(20) At first we thought we was in the bronx as it located on a side street off the High Street. We Walked up some stairs and wow the restaurant was a vibrant mix of Eastern and European feel to it.The decor is outstanding and very sassy,with soo much detail.. The food was excellent,the starters and main were hot from the oven.Fresh feel too it. The only thing I was abit disappointed with,was the mango mocktail,I felt it was washed down rubicon mango with a couple of slices of orange on it. I will still rate this restaurant at a 5 star. We can't always get everything right. The staff were attentive and very helpful.. Thankyou tandoori restaurant for making us feel at home.."

"The service at the restaurant could have been improved if the waiter had informed us that the pasta was good for sharing. The person who took our order even appeared to be the manager. Despite there being three of us dining, we each ordered a main dish. My friend and I both ordered the same pasta dish. The waiter should have mentioned that one order was enough for two people and suggested other dishes. We were surprised when two plates of pasta were brought to our table. We even asked another waiter if the dish was meant to be shared, and she confirmed that it was. To the waiter who took our order, please be more attentive in the future and avoid unnecessary food waste."

"I had a fantastic experience at Ricci's. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars for ambiance is because it was quite cold inside. Many customers had to keep their coats on, which was a bit disappointing. It was one of the coldest nights of the year, and I think they should have turned up the heating. Despite that, I still plan on returning because the food at Ricci's (and Ricci's Tapas) is the best in the area."

"I’m sorry but whilst the service was very good, the food was not on a par with what I was expecting . The bruscetta was nothing more than a piece of toasted bread and a few roasted cherry tomatoes on top . No balsamic vinegar and no garlic. The pasta mushroom ravioli was average and the tiramisu had a very odd taste to it. Both types of white wine were undrinkable. In fairness to the restaurant , they did not charge me for the first glass of which I could only stomach one sip. The second was not much better and left more than half a glass. Why does this restaurant only sell white wines that are extremely “floral” in tase? A big disappointment."

"Both of our main courses were sent back. The lasagne was a small, flat dish of overcooked slop in a skillet, not quite living up to the expectations for £13 at James Italian. After sending it back, I ordered the meatballs which were enjoyable. My son also sent his food back because the pasta was thick and dry, although he found the bolognese to be okay. The staff were friendly and the manager was helpful in rectifying our food issues. However, having dined at various branches in the past and loving it, I was disappointed with the declining quality of the food and have no plans to return. I had expected much more and was left feeling very disappointed."

"1st Class. My 1st visit to any Jamie Oliver venue Guildford for an xmas get together with 2 work colleagues and our respective partners so 6 of us, table booked at 6.45pm. I have to say that the meal I had was one of the best I have ever had. The pasta dish was just bursting with flavour,I had to savour every mouthful. Every one of us enjoyed our meal so much, my GF said that her pasta dish was out of this world . In addition the service was exceptional, the waiters knowledge of every dish was flawless. "Underwhelming. Sundae was disappointing and nothing special. The ice cream didn’t taste premium. The most disappointing was the jasmine and mint tea. The presentation was so poor at 4.95 it looked like it should have been free. One of the most overpriced drinks I have ever ordered. It was flavourless and meaningless as a drink it shouldn’t be on the menu. Lastly, we ordered the scones which were half decent."

"Hi Michael. I have just spoken with Mike and he asked me to email you. It’s with regards to our evening meal last night (17/11/18). Me and my husband were treating my parents as a thank you and took them to your restaurant as a treat as we have both dined there before and enjoyed it. I have dined in Jamie’s Italian in a few restaurants all over the country and even in Bangkok. Anyway, the meal wasn’t up to standard last night and was disappointing. I did not want to say anything last night as I didn’t want to cause embarrassment with my parents. My Mums beef burger was very tough, I tasted it and it was too chewy, unfortunately she could not eat it and just eat the bun and chips. My Dads sirloin steak was tough too and he struggled to chew it. My husbands tomahawk pork chop was good he said and he enjoyed it. My prawn linguine only had a few prawns and lacked flavour. "A hidden gem, incredibly easy to get to but feels a world apart. A very classy renovation of an old estate into a modern hospitality venue, with excellent food and service to match. We visited for my Mum’s birthday celebration and it felt very special indeed. My single disappointment is that the waiters were still wearing masks, which I personally feel diminishes the humanity of service, and is not necessary. Otherwise, top top marks"
