"First time at Jamie's in Guildfird. Booked on line mentioning it was my husband's birthday and he was very excited(! , but no one took any notice, so not sure why they asked if it was a special occasion visit! Lovely decor and friendly service. However, children's portions are hysterically small! When the sausage in a roll and burgers appeared I actually snorted with laughter! They were smaller than my hand with five undercooked crinkled lumps! Adult food good but not outstanding, puddings were, however, delicious!! I know it's ITALIAN so kids food like sausages and burgers a pain to cook, but don't put it on menu if it's silly size (in my opinion other opinions may differ!"

The only observation I have is that the round tables in the center aisle upstairs were placed very close together.

My family and I went for a quick lunch here (although I have been for dinner here before)The restaurant itself looks nice from the outside.

The food was both tasty and very fresh. Service was quirky but very friendly, the restaurant definitely carries through the Jamie Oliver experience. View menu

+ Freshly made pasta + Freshly baked bread + Lots of staff + Great for informal dining - Fast-food feel to the venue This is part of the empire of Jamie

We had a very nice meal: loved the salmon bruscetta! Everything was very good. One note: the red wine was served slightly warmer than it should have been, suggesting storage at higher than desirable temperatures. Though the wine itself was good, I would expect Jamie's to watch for such an important detail.

The service was unusually slow, even though the restaurant was not busy when we arrived. The bread order was missing grissini, which we had to request, and the variety of breads offered was not as extensive as before. While the food tasted good, it was not as well-presented as in the past. We also had to wait 15 minutes for a glass of wine. This restaurant is no longer a reliable choice for a satisfying meal. The service was very slow, it was Mothers' Day, so we expected that. However, my partner and his mother received plates with yorkshire puddings that were still frozen! When we complained, the staff took the entire plates away, and (eventually once everyone else has finished eating) returned with the original plates, with the food on them now stone cold, but with new yorkshire puds! My partner left feeling VERY hungry.

Disappointed with the food. The squid and mussel pasta was far too salty, and contained about 3 small pieces of squid, the mussel was mostly shells. The prawn linguini was not bad but given that the main courses were essentially just pasta they were expensive. The sweets seemed to be just taken from the cold cabinet . The poachecd pear pavlova was not really a a pavlova at all and the poached pears had more the texture. of tinned pears. It might also be a good idea to do a spell check on the menus written on the blackboards Appel for presumably Apple and vegatarian for vegetarian careless, and maybe reflecting a broader attitude to the food preparation.
