We visited for my Mum’s birthday celebration and it felt very special indeed. My single disappointment is that the waiters were still wearing masks, which I personally feel diminishes the humanity of service, and is not necessary. Otherwise, top top marks"

Very old traditional pub, small rooms & bar. No TV. Used by locals in the main. Open all day. Stopped here on a cycle ride for a drink.

Another enjoyable Sunday lunch in a pleasant atmosphere and helpful polite staff. Nice to be out and about doing normal things after many months at home.

It was ok, but sadly doesn’t match up to the quality prices of the rooms. We stayed here for a special anniversary while this would be fine for everyday dining this didn’t meet the mark for a special occasion. I believe there is a second restaurant which is fine dining but sadly it wasn’t open at the time of our stay.
