"Mediocrity. It 's not as bad as it seems when it comes to sushi in London. Just had Tokiya Sushi and have to say: why are resturants so cheap with their fish when making maki here? All I 'm asking for is equal parts fish/veggie to rice, not even more fish than rice like I 'd find in the US but this seems like a difficult enough ask. On the upside, their sushi is yum yum yummie, and pretty cheap, affordable by all who have about 10-15 quid to spend on a dinner, but maki, although good, has such a small amount of the fish you order in it, it doesn 't even make sense to order them over the sushi unless you really don 't like fish. Not so good point #2 My dinner-mate got a sushi regular which was 6 pieces of sushi and 5 pieces of maki. What they didn 't state was that maki means the cheapest thing possible which turned out to be a cucumber roll with not even a bit of fish in the roll in sight. Obviously if people are ordering a sushi plate, they aren 't vegetarians and generally will expect SOME fish in their maki! End diagnosis, would order take away from (i forgot to mention there is a 10 pound per person rule even though most of their entrees are under 10 pounds and oh yeah it DOESN 'T include drinks) especially the sushi, but don 't go by the photo here, you are lucky if the maki comes with half that much filling, albeit they are still tasty if unsatisfactory. sushi pretty good, maki order take away from Tsunami just down the other way."

"We went after their great renovation and the ambience is good for one night in a quiet yet lively restaurant. However, given the situation not central London compared to all other many other Japanese restaurants I was, the prices are too high. I pay less for everything in an authentic Japanese restaurant in central locations. Sushi quality is great with thick and fresh cuts and good decoration and good selection of menu for the size of the kitchen. A dish that I do not enjoy was my favorite grilled egg on rice, the size of the aal was 1/3 of the normal size for the price of £18, as the aal prices have decreased little in recent years. For this reason I gave 2 star of 5 for value. If you are looking for great sushi in Kentish Town, there is no other place, so I recommend if you are a local Japanese fan."

"The service wasn't great, our drinks came after our food, and it took quite a while to place an order. The food was okay, everything was relatively cold, and the waitress wasn't helpful in explaining menu items."

"Firstly , we get a takeaway from here almost every Friday night the sushi is absolutely fantastic and the food quality overall is excellent but we always collect as despite living five minutes drive away it can be very Hap hazard in terms of accuracy and time for delivery . Last week we decided to meet friends there instead 8.15 booking , food again delicious but when we asked for plates as we wanted to share a number of dishes the saucers were produced for each of us with no serving spoons. Everything seems to be a hassle when asked for . I then asked for a coffee at 9.30 I was told in a rude fashion that no I couldn’t as the kitchen closes at 9 pm !! Despite there being another two tables still in the restaurant the bleach bucket and mop then appeared to start cleaning down the restaurant ! This included the whole way down the stairs which was completely wet as we carefully tried to leave without slipping on the freshly mop floors at 10 pm on a Friday night ! you feel like you are imposing and irritating them by eating in . So 5 outta 5 for a takeaway but 2/5 as an eating in experience im afraid ."

"This restaurant serves high-quality Japanese sushi and hot dishes in a tranquil and relaxed setting. They have a good selection of wine and sake, as well as a wide variety of sushi, sashimi, hand rolls, and cut roll dishes. Their tempura and other hot dishes are also excellent. It was a hit and I will definitely be returning, especially considering the reasonable prices for the amount and location."

"Wonderful food as always, with finest ingredients immaculately prepared and served by Jenice and the team. Japanese is never cheap but at least with Suhinoen you can taste the quality and value. Would and regularly do recommend for lunch or dinner and no one is ever disappointed and it usually becomes a favourite of theirs too. There is bar code ordering (very Japanese) but just have a word when you get there as you can still just order from the waiting staff."

"First When we came inside the door the smell almost made me turn around and go out again. Not What I was expecting. The sign says ”Fine Japanese Dining” Hmm, not What I call fine. The place looked a bit shabby. Okay there was people sitting and eating and we thought Well give it a try, now when We are here. The ordering procedure with an app was akward so we skipped that. The kind waitress helped us instead and gave us fast service. Service was good. We ordered a 40pc sushi platter and a meat main dish. The main came before the sushis. Food was ok not more so we concentrated on drinks instead. 4pax food, drinks a snap at 140£. I am used to at least Triple that amount on a 4pax dinner. We left and had coffe, dessert etc at another place in town. Again you get What you pay for and conclusion this was good Bang for the buck."

"tasty eating non existent service. I must agree with the former reviewer, the service is terrible, I think we had the same personal. the only positive thing about this place is eating is delicious, but not enough of a reason to return. I would like to have a good time when I go out and I expect someone who is job to take my order right and everything ordered to do on the table, I don't think I'm on the way to the personal where missing food is and could I have a drink and could I order something else! and expect gratitude. eating is expensive and the portions small, but eating is fantastic, so if they don't have the worst service in...read more"

"The place has a more casual feeling that is something more authentic in view of the kitchen. Sushi very good, can enjoy 24pcs for £30, which is definitely worth it when you enjoy sushi. Sashimi really delicious. However, the most important meals felt like we had bought them in a belly Chinese farewell and served on a plate. Despite ordering various dishes, all sauces lubricated the same, similar sweet and sticky sauces. Taking into account the cost of £9-10 per plate. The waitress was also a little annoying because she would wait until we asked for a court before she told us they didn't. Not a deal breaker, but if you are missing dishes, it should be marked or listed on the menu before you start to decide what you want. Service was pretty fast, and the ambience is pretty cool. Would recommend for a casual informal meal and would avoid buying hot food as a whole."

"This restaurant has a great selection of vegan and vegetarian option. Everything vegetarian is clearly stated, however the vegan options are not labelled apart from the ‘vegan rolls’ so if your unsure what items are vegan I recommend asking a member of staff as I can imagine most vegetarian dishes are also vegan. The staff are also all very friendly and they refill green tea throughout your meal :"

"This is without exception my most favourite restaurant in Chiswick, and Chiswick really is not short of one star or two star Michelin restaurants. I love the simplicity of the surroundings with relaxed music, it is clear the owner and his staff care so much about the restaurant, the preparations and the delivery, what can only be described as a piece of art that melts sufficiently in your palette whilst the gastronomic flavours slowly disappear. This is the by far the best japanese restaurant in London. I recently visited for lunch and I am convinced that the food only gets better. Finally the owner takes so much pride and passion in his work, this is demonstrated in the culture and friendliness when you arrive and leave this magnificent restaurant, without question, I will return!"

"The reason for the two stars is that they served a mediocre meal. The Powerlunch dish consists of brown rice, avocado, pomegranate, and sashimi."

"Probably one of the most disappointing Japanese meals I have ever had. Since I lived in Japan for 20 years, I know what good Japanese food is supposed to be like. The tori karaage almost had no chicken in it and was mostly skin, which I have never seen before. Is this a money-saving measure? Shockingly price at almost eight pounds. Their Japanese sausages while authentic were way too small and overpriced. If you still want to go to Tosa, I would suggest getting the nasu dengaku, which was quite good, and perhaps some yakitori (although this too is overpriced . But the most disappointing part of my Tosa experience started before I even went there. When I called to book a table, I was greeted in a rude manner by the Japanese lady who took my call. Moreover, this same woman was rude when I was in the restaurant. (If you must go to Tosa, talk to the other staff, who are much friendlier. One of the best things about going to a Japanese restaurant outside of Japan is to experience the great service that you would normally receive at many restaurants at Japan, so in this respect Tosa fell far short of my expectations. If you are in west London and have a hankering for Japanese food, go to Kiraku, where the service is far better, even though the menu may currently be less extensive."

"Lovely restaurant in vicinity of London Bridge. Decor and atmosphere was nice place for a dinner with drinks. The place was not busy and we were quickly given a table. We had a tempura and unagi roll, and a salmon set which was tasty. Sashimi was thick cut and fresh. Staff was friendly and checked on us frequently. The only negative was they made a mistake in our order twice, but was quick to rectify and food came on table timely probably a new staff. The menu was a white sheet with text, and i wonder if it was a covid 19 reduced menu or not as i found the menu slightly plain. Prices were on the steeper side. May visit again if i crave sushi and am in the area, but would not go specifically."

"The experience was mediocre. Unfortunately, we were isolated from the rest of the table. We were seated in an awkward spot between two groups, leading to us feeling excluded. The chefs focused their attention on the other diners first before cooking for us. The food was decent, but it was clear that some chefs were more enthusiastic than others. It was unusual to be asked to move to another table for the final course. Overall, we left feeling quite disappointed."

"After making an online reservation for a table, I arrived at the restaurant only to find it was closed. Given the numerous messages in their inbox, it was clear they had not been operating for quite some time. This restaurant should be removed from listings, as it is no longer in business."
