"My friends and I visited Amigos last night. The food was good, but the staff were incredibly rude. I had to go search for them in order to order a drink, as they were busy chatting in the back. No one came to check on our food. When we finished eating, the server came over and immediately asked if we wanted the bill, trying to rush us out the door. The bill included a service charge of £16, which I personally didn't feel they deserved. When we asked about it, the server was extremely rude and replied, "Well, do you want it back or not?" We decided to just pay it, but we were not happy with the service. As we were leaving, the server's response was simply, "Perfect, bye." I would not go back to this restaurant, as the staff were awful."

"During our third night in Torquay, I was extremely impressed with Las Iguanas! They had a separate section on their menu dedicated to vegan options, which did not disappoint. I found it charming that they included little vegan flags on the food to signify their pride in offering these choices. I ordered the vegan nachos for a starter and a vegan burrito for my main, but the starter was so filling that I couldn't finish my main! Everything was delicious, and the staff were attentive and friendly. We chose to sit outside and used a QR code to order our food. There were also some fantastic vegan cocktail options available on a 2 for 1 special. I would definitely recommend Las Iguanas over the other restaurants on the Riviera strip. "we love wallpaperria! it is a jewel in thornton heath. each time we visited, we had such a friendly welcome and the service is excellent. eating is amazing. it is authentic, generous and simply delicious. we had the paella for the first time this visit and it is such a good value for money. we ended up with a Doggy bag to enjoy it the next day. the tapas selection is huge and there is something for everyone there. The lammings are amazing, but our favorites are the termine in speck and the croquettas. I would recommend wallpaperria if they wish a romantic dinner, a family visit or just a nice place to dinner with the week. it's just brilliant and we'll be back soon."

"We had dinner here yesterday with a party of 9. We did not have a reservation but were seated quickly and even provided a high chair for our grandson. We all ordered different dishes and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The staff was friendly and the place was very clean and organized (until our grandson made a mess, apologies). "This was mine and my wife’s first visit to Titos and our initial impression was that this was a very smart little restaurant, with a relaxed vibe and with good smelling food cooking away in the background. Unfortunately the experience went downhill from there. First we were told there was no ice in the restaurant so they couldn’t make sangria and the waiter, who also seemed to be the manager, advised they couldn’t go out and get any as they were short staffed. We then settled on a beer for me and a wine for my wife which the waiter later admitted he forgot about, which was after we chased him for our drinks. We were also told that as we had a 7.45pm booking and the kitchen closed at 8, we had to choose our food ASAP otherwise they couldn’t cook what we wanted. Why take a 7.45pm booking then and why offer no flexibility in timings, especially as this was a bank holiday weekend so more people than usual would have been in the restaurant? Then we were told that a third of the menu items we chose were unavailable for various reasons anyway.....! The food came in a reasonable time and it was nice but it was still disappointing because it wasn’t really what we had wanted. Also, they forgot to bring us one of the tapas and didn’t even apologise properly when we pointed that out. Worse still, three quarters of the way though our meal we hear and see the same waiter filling an ice bucket with ice. Where did that come from? We tried to flag down some service but by the time we were successful we’d finished our food (and had not once been asked if then food was all okay and as expected, or if we needed another drink) so it was a bit late then to order a big jug of sangria. When challenged regarding the ice the waiter said he was “just about to come over and tell us”. Sadly he had not. Naturally we made our feelings known on the shambolic nature of the meal and service and in the end he agreed we would only pay for the food and not the two drinks we had each had."

"We booked a table for on a Saturday evening for three people, When we arrived the restaurant was pretty empty bar two tables upstairs. We were seated and left with menus for The very young waitress came and took our orders. Our drinks...were a pint, a orange squash and one cocktail. We waited for these and received nothing, our first bits of food arrived before our drinks. When the food arrived we had no cutlery and no plates so we asked for these, the attitude on the server was as though we had asked for his life. How dare we enter a restaurant and want cutlery and plates to eat off. We also asked for our drinks( remember that really difficult order we placed, beer , squash and a cocktail) Eventually our drinks turned up but still no plates or cutlery so the dishes that had arrived where slowly going cold on our table whilst we stared at them wishing we could eat them. When a different waiter passed by we asked him for plates and cutlery and within seconds he brought them along with our other dishes. The first dishes were cold by this time so we asked for them to be reheated. Again we were faced with attitude and rudeness by the server (Andrew i think he was called) How dare we ask for our food to be hot or at least warm enough to eat. Andrew offered to reheat the dishes and return, he never did. We ate the few dishes we were left with which were hot enough and then left, as we went downstairs to pay we were faced with a bill featuring several of the dishes we hadn't received and being charged full price for the ones we had and had had to return due to being cold. Andrew had told us we could have the bill half price due to the shocking service and attitude he showed and yet the bill did not reflect this. We eventually came to an agreement on the bill and left. ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING SERVICE. There was a table of who waited about just for drinks and then decided to leave, a couple behind us who hadn't even had a drinks order taken after an hour and a poor couple who were just about to sit when we left. We warned them not to bother, Unless they fancied a very long night. We will not be back and i warn anyone who does visit, take a book and maybe even your PJs and a change of clothes, your in for a long wait."

"We booked a table on a Sunday evening for 3 people. The first waitress who served us was quite abrupt and didn’t like us asking if we could move tables. (Even though the restaurant was empty) The one she had put is on was extremely dark as the lights above were out. The restaurant is already dimly lit and this meant we would have been struggling to see anything at all. After this, they had pretty much run out of everything on the menu, which became pretty comical by the end. They even had no fruit for the sangria! However the other waiter, was so funny and entertaining (even under stressful circumstances) it was hard not to have a great evening! The food (that was available) was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed it. A great night, we would go back, but I would find it hard to recommend on my experience"

"I 'll be completely honest, we went to this restaurant following glowing reviews and we were a little disappointed. I felt that the service we received wasn 't amazing and I wasn 't overly impressed with the food either. When we arrived, the waiter wasn 't very welcoming and told us to choose where we wanted to sit, he brought us menus and told us where to find the specials and then didn 't return for a while, when he did we ordered food and drink as we waited long enough that we had already decided our food order. For our whole stay we were not given table water like every other table and the waiter who served us wasn 't very polite. It was difficult to get his attention and honestly, he wasnt very approachable, we felt like he wasn 't in a very good mood! The food was ok and it did come out very quickly, which was great, but the scallops were cold and the battered squid was a little burnt. Once we had finished eating, the waiter took our plates away, we said we hadn 't received a dish to which he responded rudely and abruptly 'oh really, well that 's why I said are you done? '... surely they would know!! The kitchen confirmed our dishes were all sent, but when he came back over to confirm the dishes we ordered, there was one that definitely didn 't come out, so he organised that. This dish then of course came much later then all our others, but at least he apologised. It wasn 't removed from the bill or anything as a good will gesture, which to be honest is something I probably would have done. At this point we also asked if we could order another drink, given we had no water and hadn 't been offered another, we thought we would take this opportunity! When the waiter returned with a new drink, he took away my partner 's drink which was still a quarter full! Again, we didn 't quibble due to how the waiter was being. They offered us a dessert menu and when we decided not to have a dessert they looked annoyed... strange. We didn 't even get a thank you and goodbye when we left! I won 't be recommending this restaurant with the glowing reviews we had received about it and honestly very unlikely to go back."

"Sat in a booth requiring use of the QR code to order. Fine accept not the greatest app. Ordered a cranberry juice then changed our minds, removed it from the order but it still went through. Rather unfriendly waitress proceeded to lecture us on the fact that once order submitted its too late. Seeing as we had pressed submit literally a minute a before, we could cancel, so not a great start. Ordered the Mexican poppadoms and enchiladas. Expected the poppadoms to come first as “nibble while you wait” but they arrived at the same time as the enchiladas which was a little odd as they didn’t tell us this would happen up front. The food arrived very rapidly which is good but would have liked to take our time a bit. The enchiladas were delicious. Overall slightly soulless, not sure I’d go back."

"Wonderful restaurant. Hidden gem behind Clapham North tube..its really big inside. I received a really warm greeting from the owner Luigi who is a real character. This is a great venue for any parties, social clubs, people celebrating their birthdays. The space is really flexible and they have large bar too with great cocktails. The food is really excellent. This is my 3rd visit and each time I've tried different plates. This time I had the halloumi starter which was tasty with fresh tomato and garlic. They halloumi is rolled in almonds which is a great touch. Very light, not greasy at all. For my main I had the Shrimp with coconut and rice. This is a fantastic tasty dish using fresh shell on giant prawns- so delicious! They've got a good choice of wines too and side dishes. I had no room for dessert. This place deserves to be packed every night as it's a family run, quality establishment and not one of these tired chain bar/pub places. Highly recommend."

"Visited this week for first time in a year Mandekic was not as it was when the owner ran the place. We booked online with a proviso that if we didn’t show there would be a charge which is fair enough. What we didn’t know...was that 1/2 hr before you will get a msg to say you have 1 1/2 hrs to eat your food! ; 1 hr into the meal people were waiting on our table outside and at 1hr 25 we were presented with our bill. No rush!!! One course was forgotten off the order and everything felt so rushed that it’s difficult to recommend this place anymore especially as so maybe new good places opened nearby in the last year. Hopefully others have a more memorable visit."
