"I made a reservation thinking this restaurant was affiliated with Richard Rawlings' Gas Monkey group, but it turns out it isn't. According to Gas Monkey Dallas, they have no connection to it. I was really disappointed as it became clear the moment we arrived. We felt obligated to stay for lunch, but the food was just average, with some unusual ingredients in the burger (goat cheese?). At least the food was served hot. The staff were friendly, but it wasn't at all what we expected based on our booking. I felt misled and wouldn't choose to come back or recommend it to others."

"1st visit today for our preordered Sunday Roast lamb dinners with their friendly helpful staff.. we were not disappointed as full to the brim from large plates packed high with loads of delicious fresh veg, all the trimmings, tasty meat gravy. "Our group of 5 visited Cafe Venice for the first time after attending an England rugby match at Twickenham Stadium. It's a 20-minute walk from there, so not much different than a venue in Twickenham town center. I made a telephone booking about 10 days before our visit and clarified that on rugby days, they offer a restricted menu at lunchtime but a full menu in the evenings. Note that there is a good specials menu in addition to the extensive menu on the website. We had booked for 6:30 pm, and the restaurant was busy with many other customers who had also been to the rugby match. We received a warm welcome, and the service throughout was friendly and efficient. For starters, we had dough balls, mushrooms, mussels, calamari, and whitebait. For mains, we had carbonara, calzone, and sea bass fillets, all served with salad or chips. The portions were generous and very tasty, and the food and wine were reasonably priced. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Cafe Venice and will definitely be returning."

"I have to say that the quality of food was top class. I had the rump steak medium rare and it was absolutely perfect. My partners meal salmon from the specials range was also of a high quality but there was hardly enough to feed a sparrow and at we thought was very expensive for the meagre amount on the plate. They did redeem themselves however, when, after complaining, they gave her a portion of chips and took off the bill. I would certainly recommend them if you are out for something special and don't mind the expense, but if you are just going out for an evening meal then there are other less expensive venues but I will add that it is highly unlikely that you will get better quality food"

"we were shown on our places on our booked table and given menus. Unfortunately, when we were ready to order, we were told about the numerous meals that were not available to make the only main dish of a steak available, which is not great when they are a vegetarian. to be fair, the waiter was really pleasant and understood when we left. downside was that they contacted us easily to explain the missing available food that was extensive, before us trekking throughout the city to be disappointed, so the low score review"

"I called to add more items to the order, the restaurant was busy and noisy which I can understand which made it difficult for the call handler to hear me, and even although the noise and issue was with the restaurant I moved to a...quite room and shouted on the phone for her to hear me, she still couldn’t hear me nor did she care much to add more items to the Order, after being cut off 3 times I decided to cancel the order with them due to the sub standard customer service, this was then passed over to a manager who told me they couldn’t process a refund etc and the issue had to be resolved by just eat. I eat at many places and a good Judge of a red quality is it’s customer service, this was probably the worst customer service I’ve ever had in Edinburgh. Thankfully just eat resolved this instantly as they agreed this is a bad experience. I have added food quality as abysmal as it’s the only score I can give something that never made it to my mount. Avoid!!"

"The pub was beautiful, the food was amazing and the service provided by Aoife and Pat was warm and welcoming throughout our visit. Aoife kept my inquisitive 5 year old entertained answering all her questions about London and talking to her about where she’d visited that day which was a massive help as I was frantically trying to feed the baby! She really went above and beyond and we will definitely return."

"Went on a Monday night as everything on the menu is only £5.00, food is typically pub chain mass produced so don’t expect a la carte. Drinks are reasonably priced but I do struggle to understand why it’s so difficult to pour a decent pint of Guiness, lack of training I suppose. The staff are friendly but they could do with a decent uniform as jeans and dirty trainers doesn’t look very nice. No body came to ask if our food was ok or if we needed anything else. Perhaps a bit more interaction with the customer might generate a few more tips."

"I start with the positive, great location, beautiful pub beautiful and welcoming. we had booked a table in advance, which was good as he was pretty busy for a Tuesday. the disappointment came with the service, no one explained about the ordering over the app, we...figured that only for our drinks did not arrive ( apparently we added the wrong table number, we could not find that a drink finally arrived, was one not the correct order, but our server told us that he did not make the drinks. we decided to order food on the bar to be on the safe side. 5 minutes later we were told that there were no salads, no chips and only enough maic for a cake! no shinitzel. while I recognize this thing, it was the fact that nobody really seemed interested that we had a bad experience. eating was pretty good when it arrived, but we had to hurry when we had waited so long. it is a real shame that it would be great if these problems could be eliminated."

"Friends choice to go here, not in the nicest area but the decor inside was quite nice. More a cafe than a restaurant but it’s open in the evenings, Teenagers hanging around connected with the lady owner I think), it was quiet inside apart from them. The food was nice enough, it came in good time. The special price deal is daytime only I believe. This is a foreign owned establishment, felt a bit out of place tbh. The lady owner was ok I guess, bit of a vibe I picked up on. The toilet was nice and clean. The thing I found rude was that before we had finished our drinks the door was left open to the restaurant letting in the cold night air, in other words she wanted us gone as she wanted to close I assume. A polite word would have been far better explaining it was near closing time. It really spoiled the evening. There was also political propaganda on the counter, not something I want to hear about in a cafe. Not somewhere I would go back, I didn’t feel that comfortable. Two stars for the food which was decent and the drinks."

"Forgot that I had been here before a long time ago. When my friend suggested we get some lunch. We'll it was disgusting. Yet agains buts of black stuff on the all day vegetarian breakfast which yet again was black pudding. The reason given when we returned it was all food Is cooked on the same hit plate. I know people might think it was my choice for revisiting but really why on earth advertise something that's not suitable in any way. Just don't say you cater for vegetarians when clearly you don't. Because there are plenty of other places that are suitable. The look on the woman's face was a picture when I asked for a refund. At first she refused but eventually refunded me. As the menu was misleading disgusting."

"My boyfriend and I went here for dinner on Saturday evening as its close to our hotel and had quite good reviews. My pasta was lovely, my boyfriends pie was also great, but his vegetables were sparse and rubbery sadly. When we asked for the bill, the staff member bought the card payment to the table on the 'add gratuity ' screen. There was no amount visible so we had no idea how much we were being charged, and he didn 't bring the bill either! I asked to see the bill again and he pressed 'no ' to gratuity so I could see the amount being charged, but thats not the same as seeing the bill. So I went to the bar to ask yet again for the bill. Finally they printed off the bill so I could see the breakdown of our order and check it was correct. It was correct, but they had added a service charge already, so frankly it was deceitful to try and get me to add a gratuity when one was already added to the bill. Very disappointed"

"I stayed in Canary Wharf during the weekdays and was always unsure of where to eat. I decided to visit this restaurant after hearing many recommendations for their beef tartare on TripAdvisor. Upon entering for dinner (the area is usually quiet as it is a business district and only busy during lunch and breakfast), I was greeted by the very helpful staff, particularly a server named Adelina. She provided great wine recommendations and offered helpful information for comparison. The recommended wine was excellent and suited my taste perfectly. The beef tartare was absolutely delicious, with the best taste and texture I have experienced compared to other places. After starting with the beef tartare, I decided to try the Burrata as well as a chai crème brûlée for dessert. All dishes were amazing and served in generous portions. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and service at this restaurant, and I wish I had discovered it sooner. In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in Canary Wharf, possibly even better than those in the center of London. I highly recommend visiting this spot for a quiet dinner and excellent dining experience. Special thanks to Adelina for making my visit memorable. Cheers!"
