"I went to Assos with 6 others for a birthday lunch. We ordered the sharing meze and a selection of other starters to share. The food was delicious and plentiful and the staff were very accommodating in responding to our perhaps unusual requests. Excellent value for money and the quality is always very good."

"eating in caffe tartine was simply amazing. the portions were all cooked for perfection and of plentiful size. they were prepared and served in good time, especially considering that they are cooked clearly by scratches, as the quality is so good. the deserts were just as good as the most important courses and fit clearly to the restaurants French inspiration. the staff are very friendly and were more than helpful so that our party sits at a table near some cans so that we are able to load our phones. the resturant also has a dog friendly winter garden that allows people to bring their songs into them (provided they are good behavior.) if this place was local for me, then I would certainly be a more regular, offered the amazing price and the outstanding quality of the food."

"Arabesque is very convenient if attending the Hampstead Theatre only a couple of minutes walk away. The food was very tasty and excellent value for money. The service was good and the waitress was very helpful with explaining the menu. It was a bit cold in the restaurant though and people were waiting for their takeaways near our table which ruined the ambiance a bit. I could not fault the food/value but would not book for a night out but would definitely pop in for a quick bite if at the theatre again."

"have they heard of greatness? that's it. these fries have a demanding amount of potato content, perfectly crack on the outside and silky smooth on the inside. the burger brought me into a state of euphoria, all from the mayonnaise to the sesame seeds on the bungalow was immaculate. bossman should be promoted to the premier minister."

"a small place around the corner. we went, had a few drinks and the special British fish n chips. the location is very central. the food was good. the drinks are normal. I liked the lady who served the bar, so I didn't remember her names. it is quite busy in summer"

"I made a reservation thinking this restaurant was affiliated with Richard Rawlings' Gas Monkey group, but it turns out it isn't. According to Gas Monkey Dallas, they have no connection to it. I was really disappointed as it became clear the moment we arrived. We felt obligated to stay for lunch, but the food was just average, with some unusual ingredients in the burger (goat cheese?). At least the food was served hot. The staff were friendly, but it wasn't at all what we expected based on our booking. I felt misled and wouldn't choose to come back or recommend it to others."

"Arrived just after 5pm on a Wednesday evening, place was very quiet. We needed a meal before our return home after a day in Chester and this bar is very convenient for the station. Special deal of the day proved to be very nice and good value. Katsu Curry with rice and peas was delicious, just lacking a bit in the amount of sauce. Two meals along with a premier alcoholic drink for £20 was very good. Decided to have a dessert afterwards, sticky toffee pudding and the cookie apple pie were both quite pleasant but could have been much better if served hot instead of barely warm. Did not have the time to complain due to catching a train. Again good value at only £3.50pp. Service was quite good and wait time was reasonable."

"1st visit today for our preordered Sunday Roast lamb dinners with their friendly helpful staff.. we were not disappointed as full to the brim from large plates packed high with loads of delicious fresh veg, all the trimmings, tasty meat gravy. Unfotunately leaving no room for the special offer dessert £10 for roast dinner and dessert) but we will be sure to return to try this other meals in the future."

"Our group of 5 visited Cafe Venice for the first time after attending an England rugby match at Twickenham Stadium. It's a 20-minute walk from there, so not much different than a venue in Twickenham town center. I made a telephone booking about 10 days before our visit and clarified that on rugby days, they offer a restricted menu at lunchtime but a full menu in the evenings. Note that there is a good specials menu in addition to the extensive menu on the website. We had booked for 6:30 pm, and the restaurant was busy with many other customers who had also been to the rugby match. We received a warm welcome, and the service throughout was friendly and efficient. For starters, we had dough balls, mushrooms, mussels, calamari, and whitebait. For mains, we had carbonara, calzone, and sea bass fillets, all served with salad or chips. The portions were generous and very tasty, and the food and wine were reasonably priced. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Cafe Venice and will definitely be returning."

"we were shown on our places on our booked table and given menus. Unfortunately, when we were ready to order, we were told about the numerous meals that were not available to make the only main dish of a steak available, which is not great when they are a vegetarian. to be fair, the waiter was really pleasant and understood when we left. downside was that they contacted us easily to explain the missing available food that was extensive, before us trekking throughout the city to be disappointed, so the low score review"

"I called to add more items to the order, the restaurant was busy and noisy which I can understand which made it difficult for the call handler to hear me, and even although the noise and issue was with the restaurant I moved to a...quite room and shouted on the phone for her to hear me, she still couldn’t hear me nor did she care much to add more items to the Order, after being cut off 3 times I decided to cancel the order with them due to the sub standard customer service, this was then passed over to a manager who told me they couldn’t process a refund etc and the issue had to be resolved by just eat. I eat at many places and a good Judge of a red quality is it’s customer service, this was probably the worst customer service I’ve ever had in Edinburgh. Thankfully just eat resolved this instantly as they agreed this is a bad experience. I have added food quality as abysmal as it’s the only score I can give something that never made it to my mount. Avoid!!"

"The pub was beautiful, the food was amazing and the service provided by Aoife and Pat was warm and welcoming throughout our visit. Aoife kept my inquisitive 5 year old entertained answering all her questions about London and talking to her about where she’d visited that day which was a massive help as I was frantically trying to feed the baby! She really went above and beyond and we will definitely return."

"I usually don't write reviews, but I recently purchased a two-piece meal and it was the worst food I have ever tasted. The food was warm, the chicken was extremely hard and dry."

"Giusi for Mother's Day when we wanted to stay here. Small and cozy restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. However, food was mixed. Calamari Starter was rubbery and, at nine pounds, not cheap. Spaghetti Bolognese main was quite delicious, with good amount of meaty Bolognese. The calf liver was quite tasteless and sour, with a large amount of caramelized onions above to offer the taste. Mash was smooth. The desert consisted of a pizza with mussels and strawberries, which was delicious. No wine or alcohol, so not able to comment on it. The bill came to seventy five pounds, which we would have expected to pay in a much better restaurant. All in all, Giusi has all the ingredients of a beautiful restaurant, but just falls in quality, and very expensive for what it is. Think the pizza and pasta options are your best bet."

"Went on a Monday night as everything on the menu is only £5.00, food is typically pub chain mass produced so don’t expect a la carte. Drinks are reasonably priced but I do struggle to understand why it’s so difficult to pour a decent pint of Guiness, lack of training I suppose. The staff are friendly but they could do with a decent uniform as jeans and dirty trainers doesn’t look very nice. No body came to ask if our food was ok or if we needed anything else. Perhaps a bit more interaction with the customer might generate a few more tips."
