"We had lunch at Wanderlust because it was close to where we were and we had seen that it had four stars on HappyCow, but we were disapponted and should have read the more recent reviews first. There is not a large choice of vegan food anymore and all of the vegan lunch dishes are based on mock chicken, so we had the vegan breakfast for lunch (we don‘t enjoy mock chicken). This would have been ok because a traditional Scottish breakfast can be very filling, however, the food was mediocre or even worse. It arrived after a few minutes and was clearly just warmed up. It all lacked taste and seasoning and we did not finish our meals although we still felt hungry. My husband had the lemonade which was ok. I had the peach iced tea which had almost no flavour and tasted like infused water. Moreover, the staff were not that welcoming. This place looks so cute from the outside but with so many restaurants to choose from in Edinburgh, we would not go here again. Visited in October 2023 Updated from previous review on 2023 10 19"

They didn't have a separate vegan menu (anymore), but almost everything on the menu has a vegan option.

We got the vegan chicken New York and Caesar wraps with chips. Both were really tasty and the service was quick!

We went here for breakfast and the full vegan breakfast was a good portion size for 13£. Student discount of 10% is a nice feature!

The restaurant no longer offers a separate menu for vegans, and the Biscoff Latte is no longer available. However, there are still many vegan choices and the Vegan Full Breakfast is exceptional.

The vegan breakfast was large and tasty, and very satisfying. We split it and the porridge between two people. The porridge was comforting and served at the perfect temperature. The drinks were also excellent, especially the freshly squeezed juice.

I was disappointed to find that the restaurant no longer offers a vegan menu, but the breakfast options were delicious. I ordered the vegan breakfast and my sister had the vegetarian option with egg, both of which we enjoyed. This review was updated on 2024-05-19.

I stopped at this café mostly because I was intrigued by the vegan crepes mentioned in the description here, but there were no such crepes available. The server said that the batter had dairy in it and there were no vegan options for it. I checked their social media later, and it seems like they changed their menu in June of 2023, so I figured that's probably the source of the disconnect. I ordered the vegan breakfast plate. It was mediocre at best. The hash brown was fine. The vegan meats were not very good; they had a bit of an aftertaste. I didn't bother finishing them, which is rare for me even when I don't like something. The meal was fine. If I had stopped by this place at random or wi...

We visited here back in 2023 and had the unique vegan crepes. What can I say about them! They were absolutely incredible. So much so that I was thinking about them for a full year and waited for another opportunity to visit Edinburgh and visit the cafe. Came back this time only to be told that they no longer do a vegan menu but they have a few options on the meat/dairy menu. I was really upset by this but decided to try the full vegan. Imagine my chagrin when i was given one link sausage, about 4 beans, half an avocado and not enough spread for my tiny bits of toast. I had to give my husband my apple juice which was all pulp. To cap it off, the bill came to £39. I’ll pay whatever but it has...
