"This was my second time dining here, and once again I faced a long wait for a table. This time it was an hour, and during the wait, we were only offered a drink, which I think should have been complimentary given the lengthy delay. Fortunately, we managed to find a spot to sit while waiting, but many others who arrived after us had to stand around. Honestly, I might have decided to leave if we hadn’t found a place to wait. However, once we were seated, the service and food were good, and the atmosphere was lively. I’d love to return, but the long wait for a table is definitely a turn-off, especially since it happened both times I visited."

What pleased me very much was that the restaurant had mistakenly made a big overcharge on my bill that I was not aware of and then rang me to return so that they could refund me the difference. Very much appreciate their honesty and have been telling people about it."

"We were seated by the window which was lovely and seen to within minutes but my only remark would be it was very rushed so you never had time to enjoy every course before the next one was out infront of you. Therefore our main course was wasted, although we were offered a take out box. So we would have enjoyed it more if it was not so rushed."

"This restaurant is set within the Marriott Hotel. On arrival it was very quiet and could've done with some background music. We were warmly greeted by the manager. The menu offers a nice selection and some different dishes. Our waitress was very nervous as it was her first week, we really felt for her. She didn't know the soup of the day, and had to ask about what the dishes included. She really could've done with some training and help from her supervisor. Our wine arrived and we weren't offered to sample it and then they left it for us to pour ourselves. We wouldn't expect this from this type of venue. The food was lovely but the prices and service charge made it a very expensive affair."

"Exceptional standard of food! I don’t think I’ve ever had lamb as tender as this it melted in your mouth! Cocktails were delicious, Kids portion is plenty big enough I would have been happy with this size myself. They brought out a birthday dessert free of charge which was a lovely extra. Service was great, so all in all I would highly recommend this restaurant and I’m already looking forward to next time! Thank you. P.s I usually have something to complain about lol but there was nothing to fault at all."

"I don’t leave many reviews but effectively made this account to leave this one. Upon first glance, The Squeeze is quite a quaint coffee shop in the heart of Leigh-on-Sea, friendly staff and even the bonus of some lovely dogs watching their owners sip coffee. Unfortunately, that’s where the dream ends. The stark reality of the place is extraordinarily long waits for food (in excess of 45 minutes… for soup. Really? over exerted staff to near breaking point. A generally less than positive experience, which is a shame for someone new to the area. Thankfully many other coffee shops in the area so I won’t have to frequent this establishment. A certain must avoid."

"the growing opulence of South London has stretched to "trendy' streatham with new, high cost esseries, among which is this tapas bar with many backend sessions this place is gorgeous. great atmosphere, excellent (and charming) service and fantastic eating. I can't speak for the a la carte menu (yes,) but the tapas is very good, and the waiter has suggested how many dishes were enough so that we don't get over. by the way, timeout is correct that the ratatouille is a steh dish. also the sardines are highly recommended. garlic mushrooms were seasoned by solid portobello, properly baked, pimentos pardon tender with garlic, both the patatas bravas ad chorizo were plentiful cut for all plundering in the tapas, the salat was unexplainably flat, properly cooled, but not much more, and the patatas mutes lacked any seasoning in tomato sauce... also good value, with tapas for two and a bottle of wine come to £60, which is quite respectable by london prizes and worth every penny."

"We went for a family meal last Friday. Unfortunately there was a series of power cuts in the area which blacked out most of the nearby businesses, but somehow The Highland carried on! "an art brillance. the spaghetti lobster is the best you can find in Britain. the lobster is fresh, the sauce is slightly brownish, but a perfect pairing with the white meat, and the **** fairy are so made that they are their preferred amount of tabasco and worcester sose, super. from the pictures you can also see that I had a cote de rhone. the wein has always been excellent and affordable. I also love the service attentive, but never dizzy. no hurry and no push, just perfect. the owner is a real soul, funny and just a pleasure to be around. we know him for many years and it is always great to see him no matter how long the gap in time. cocktails, like the espresso martini, possibly the best in brighton at half price. I have eaten in many fish restaurants all over the world and the regency restaurant has still been rated as one of the best."

"as a couple in november. eating was good and the staff was friendly and attentive, but easy to overprice. it was illuminated with pink tuning, but that meant that I fought to read the menu without my phone burner. the sushi was beautifully presented, but definitiw overpriced at £6 for 4 vegetarian pieces. £5 for two inari nigiri was also extremely expensive, even more than most Japanese restaurants. we decided to try the mac and cheese and really enjoyed it. the teriyaki lachsspieße were a highlight and they were well cooked. However, the meat in the chopped was a bit too dry, we did not finish it. Overall I see that this place is good for drinks, but eating was not exceptional for the price and not really the place for an intimate date. better value modern Japanese foods to find elsewhere, but aveika would probably come a group of friends for drinks."
