"What a charming, vintage establishment. There is a lot to discover spread out over two floors. The building also houses a print museum. The two gentlemen at the front desk were welcoming and accommodating. I purchased a few items and received a nice discount. The goods were carefully wrapped and brought out to my car. I would definitely return to Definitiw. There were intriguing features and diverse areas to explore."

"Great western breakfest egg, beans, toast, black pudding, square, poatoe scone, 2 slices bacon, tomato coca cola in a bottle to sit in.. 12.50£ ! Price for That is a criminal. Food wasnt nothing special. Service never ask about anything.. there is a big board on the Wall with menu without prices. You order something But you have no idea how much you will spend money on that. I still dont know how much was breakfest cost But i dont care right now because i never back to this place. On sauchiehall Street there is a same food for half prices. Any big breakfest anywhere is a cost about 6 pounds maximum with a drink."

"This is one of at least a dozen gorgeous, iconic pubs on or around the Royal Mile. I'd consider it a must see. The whisky selection is good not the best, but quantity isn't everything. Some places boast about having several hundred whiskys but that's honestly just overwhelming. It's better, I think, to have a smaller well curated selection with something for everyone. I think they did a good job on that here."

"I had the banofee stack pancakes and it was delicious the place was empty but that was probably due to the time and day I visited. It was when a storm was happening. The cafe is clean tidy, well spaced out with booths to have your privacy and also warm. The staff were very pleasant and joy to talk to which is rare, certainly in my opinion. The pancakes we delicious and there was ample toffee sauce to go with the pancakes. I really, really enjoyed them! I also didn't feel rushed to pay and leave; I was left alone to warm myself next to the radiator as I was frozen, maybe thats because Im from the south. Price was very good under £10. Would definitely return for something different with a partner in crime in tow."

"the truth is said that this was my first real British pub to which I have ever gone, but still I enjoyed my first stay so much I came back three days in order. the ship inn is absolutely great, I would go so far to say it is among the best bars I was time. the staff is super friendly, eating is at a restaurant level of quality and taste and the beer selection should have something for everyone! the building itself is worth a visit. I hope I'll be back soon."

"We had a beautiful meal here today. The manager staff were so welcoming and friendly. We had our dogs with us got a fabulous snug with a log burning stove to enjoy our food. The food was delicious and excellent quality. We will definitely be back. The only small niggle was the lack of parking (only around 7 spaces which were filled) so we had to park a fair bit away walk but it was worth it. Keep up the good work !"

"Well what can i say about my buffet for my 30th birthday party. The food was delicious and plenty to say the least but what was different about this party is the personal touches that lisa made. Theme was a alice in wonderland mad hatters tea party and ingenious to put pickles and dips in tea cups and serve jam tarts (queen of hearts haha) on beautiful cake stands. My guests had nothing but praise for the food and said how delicious it all was. TI will defintely be recommending this ladies services to anyone wanting a personal catering experience. Thankyou lise. "I must say, I was so disappointed with my visit to Fredricks. My friend and I went for afternoon tea and were really looking forward to it. But we both found the experience really disappointing. Firstly the afternoon tea cakes looked nothing like the advert, nowhere near as fancy. The scones were lovely but we only had about a couple of tablespoons of cream between the two of us which wasn’t enough! The chap who initially gave us our tea was lovely but then once he had gone we didn’t see a soul. There was no one coming to check if we were ok or needed refills. I ended up drinking cold tea and my friend who had a coffee had nothing once that was finished. It wasn’t until we were practically finished that someone else came to have afternoon tea that we could actually grab someone to ask them for a refill! The ambiance of the afternoon tea was awful. Initially there was lovely music in the background but after about 15 mins it was turned off and we were left in silence. All we could hear were staff in the next room shouting to each other about something or other. There was no atmosphere at all and we actually felt like we shouldn’t be there! I’ve been to a number of afternoon teas and this was by far the worst one I have had. However this was my friends first afternoon tea and we thought that Fredricks would be fabulous for a first time tea..... but she was so disappointed! I felt really bad for her! : I don’t think I would come again."
