"Not sure if this venue has changed hands but its definitely took a nose dive. Slow delivery, driver didnt have right change and we ended up out of pocket. Forgot some of our order too! Ordered a Margarita Pizza and ended up with Cheese n...bean Pizza! Why would you? It was awful. Chicken was dry and inedible. Shame as it's location is prime and very visible. Cleanliness has always been good, as is the price, but serve up poor quality food and you'll end up out of business. Not a good experience.... "Took a while for staff to come over and serve us. However once we caught their attention, the waitress was helpful with our order. They have an offer on for starters and a cocktail pitcher. The space is cosy, warm and welcoming and ideal for a catch up with friends. Only table service is allowed and cannot order at the bar due to COVID restrictions. Staff wore masks and seating was socially distanced."

"I dont know about the fake 5 star reviews on here. But as you can see by the rest it 's a horrendous mistake. Yyyyyyep you guessed it, 3 hour wait. Food was like cold casting resin that looked better in the bin. Wasn 't surprised at all to find the other reviews. Multiple people phoned to enquire and were given multiple different excuses including that a driver had been in a car accident. I reckon I 've got more chance of pulling my mixed chicken out my backend than I 've got of a refund tbh... The local brothels will be seeing an awful lot more dodgey kebabs than usual. I 'd give you the whole never again barks but I hate thievery more than anything in the world so I 'll just leave it at Fuk off."

"Booked to come here to celebrate my Birthday with family. Have to admit, I haven't visited here since before 2019, my expectations were exceeded. They were most accommodating, due to the fact that some of my family members sadly became ill, so could not attend, however after informing Fiume, they were most gracious adjusted our table dinning requirements accordingly. The restaurant was very busy, however, that certainly didn't detract from the excellent attentive service that we received. From our starters of Crespella Ai Funghi E Salsiccia, to our mains of whole Seabass Flambe Di Gamberi, our food was superb, along with the very attentive waitress that looked after our table for our food drinks. It was quite a night, due to the fact that there must have been at least 6 other Birthday parties celebrating there, which was unusual to experience so many, . . just shows what a popular Italian Restaurant this really is. Thank You to all the staff chefs Fiume Italian Bar Restaurant, for making my Birthday celebrations an evening to remember. We'll definitely be back very soon."

"No one to meet us at the door and show us to a table. When we headed to a table, we were intercepted by the manageress, who rolled her eyes and raised eyebrows in dismay that we were headed for a table. We were told that we had to sit at a table for two, although a lone female customer came in just after us, who sat at a table for four, as did a man five minutes later. There were parents struggling at smaller tables, trying to feed their children. There was a poor choice of beverage and much on the menu was not available. One expects to pay a premium when eating out and in return one expects not to be treated by a sarcastic manageress. I expect my wife and myself to be treated with dignity, if not respect. This was a shameful experience which I certainly will not allow to happen again. The manageress lacks charm and finesse, and the food is overpriced and uninteresting."

"I usually order from Pizza Italia without any issues, but recently I feel that their quality has declined. I have never had any problems before, but tonight I ordered a couple of wraps and unfortunately, my tikka wrap was stone cold and my friend's wrap was not hot either. After speaking with the manager, she insisted that the wraps were freshly made, but eventually agreed to replace them. However, when the replacement wraps arrived, I realized that the salad was also hot, indicating that it had been microwaved. I was very disappointed with this experience and although I was willing to forgive their mistake, I was surprised to find out that they had blocked me from ordering again after leaving a review. It seems that Pizza Italia is not open to feedback and opinions, as they continue to block customers for expressing their dissatisfaction. I have raised this issue with Foodhub in hopes of getting a refund and warning others to be cautious when ordering from this petty establishment."

"My friend and I often visit the Old Halfway House as it’s local to us both. Until relatively recently, we have been for the lunchtime menu, and it’s been fairly good. The pub has a nice atmosphere, and it’s clean and tidy. However, the menu has now changed; the lunchtime menu has increased from £6 to £8. Soft drinks have also increased, and a glass of coke is now £4.25, which is simply too much. This last visit, I ordered scampi chips and peas. I could hardly believe my eyes when the server brought my meal. There were 9 small pieces of scampi, a few chips and what I estimated to be 1 spoon of peas. I was really upset about this. The tartar sauce was also underwhelming a tiny bit in the bottom of the dish. The plate actually looked like a child’s meal. Ok, so we all know prices are increasing across all sectors, but whilst pubs need to make a profit, customers also need value for money, and this falls woefully short of what one would expect. Would a few extra peas and chips, and maybe a couple more pieces of scampi really cost that much more for better customer satisfaction? I’ll answer that myself no. When the lady came to collect our plates, we were asked if everything was ok. I mentioned the measly portion size, and she said she’d mention it to the kitchen. We remained in the pub a good 20 minutes, but she never returned, so I don’t know what the kitchen had said. We were going to order dessert, but after seeing that portion size, decided we wouldn’t bother. As mentioned before, we eat out locally once a week, so we have plenty of places with which to compare this to, and it falls way short of the competition. It is sad, but we will be finding somewhere with better value for money in future."

"Ordered via Deliveroo.... Firstly, the order was late (this is the second time now) The breaded mushrooms were over cooked and tasted like the oil used to cook them was old. The bottle of Pepsi was flat. The lamb was over cooked and so dry. The chips were overcooked and oily. The pizzas tasted strange, like the dough was not fresh before making. The Nuggets tasted like they'd also been cooked in old oil. Plus, it was all cold. Everything to be honest was very bad and was basically put straight in the bin. considering spent over £50 is not acceptable. As I said this is the second time I ordered from them and it was late, again but I thought I'd give them a chance, after this never again."

"We ordered take out for fish and chips on a Friday night. We waited 30 mins infront of the shop we signaled to the staff a few times that we were right in front of them to let us know when our food is ready....Not only did the food sit on the side while we waited and have to ask multiple times for our order, the staff was incredibly rude when I asked for extra tartar sauce. They insisted I pay 40p for one satchet and I told them I can only pay with card (not carrying cash, esp during the pandemic) they said there 's a £5 minimum and nothing else. Terrible service, long wait, rude staff. There 's plenty of other delicious fish and chip places on the same street."

"My partner and I came to Plymouth for an event at the Pavilion. We wanted to eat lunch before it started and stumbled across this gem of a pub. It was very busy on a sunny Saturday afternoon, but Ellie, who served us, was fantastic! "we thought we would avoid the Saturday evening rush and order around 16:10, so we didn't have to wait forever until it comes. this was the first time we used 'best kebab' and will be the last. uber eats said it would be delivered 16:50-17:10... the seemed a bit overly for the £20 order (1 x kebab, 1 x burger, 1 x cheesy chips and 1 x mozerella sticks.) but it is what it is. it will be 17:10 and we will wait. it is until 17:30 and we are waiting. 17:35 And we clink, they say they have a problem with their rides, and there will be 10 minutes, no apologies, nothing. eating came around 17:45, no apologies, nothing. eating was in the average. my partner “Special” burger (bef mit donnerfleisch) had 4 pieces donner on a lukewarm but crispy burger. my kebab was also lukewarm and I had never had so chewy meat in my life. the chips that were in the box were divided into two layers, the lower half closest to the box was like a red musk (obvily at any place it was hot and simply shaped into one with the condensation) and the upper side were hard as nails and cold. Mozerella sticks needed to heat as they were fixed and the Cheesy chips were only lukewarm with a mass of cold, solid cheese up. if they can not provide a delivery grater to ensure that their warm food is delivered immediately (we live about 6 minutes away) then they do not offer any delivery. do not pack their food ready and leave it easy until someone appears to deliver it, otherwise they will their customers inedible sh!t. revolver with our usual choice of spire pizzas. can not recommend this enough, along with express kebab house, which are just around the corner of this “business”. I will never use “Best Kebab” again. do not make the same mistake."

"This used to be my favourite takeaway treat but lately I'm sure I'm getting the day before chips warmed up. They are rubbery and horrible. Whatever happened to the fresh crisp chips I used to get? They were the best takeout chips of any takeaway in my area, but not any more. I may have to find another pizza place if I keep getting chips like that."
