"I came to the breakfast yesterday and it was perhaps the best decision I made during my trip to Edinburgh. the owner (jonathan) was very nice and warm and welcomed me to the restaurant and gave me the drain on the Scottish breakfast. I had a little fear to try the haggis and black pudding, but everything was delicious! jonathan said they had the best heggis in the city and he didn't lie. the meal was warm and tasty and the perfect fuel for a long and cold day of remembrance, and more than that it gave me a taste of the Scottish hospitality! You have to come here at least once, but hopefully more, in your life!"

"The restaurant offers a good selection of food and drinks, and surprisingly, it was quite quiet for a Friday night. Shortly after we were seated, we were asked if we were ready to order, which felt a bit premature. Following our first drink, we were asked to move to a different table because the staff wanted to ensure they didn't forget about us. I'm not sure if this place is newly opened or not, but while the food was enjoyable, the service felt a bit disjointed. It seemed more like the typical growing pains of a new venue rather than any incompetence. I’m definitely open to giving this place another chance, as I believe it has potential for improvement."

"The food at this restaurant is the best I have ever tried in Lanarkshire. The staff are amazing, especially the counter staff who are probably the best I have ever encountered. I would give them more stars for their excellent service alone. The food is always amazing too - definitely the best chippy around. "Exceptional Service at Mexican Texmex Bar Grill I recently dined at Mexican Texmex Bar Grill and had the pleasure of being assisted by Mike. Although I’m not sure of his exact role at the restaurant, whether he's a waiter, manager, or the owner, his service was nothing short of exemplary. Mike was very attentive, friendly, and made sure we had a fantastic dining experience. His recommendations from the menu were spot on and greatly enhanced our meal. The atmosphere at Mexican Texmex Bar Grill is vibrant and welcoming, much like Mike’s persona. It's clear that he takes great pride in ensuring the satisfaction of the restaurant's patrons. I highly recommend Mexican Texmex Bar Grill, and a big shoutout to Mike for making our visit a memorable one. I will definitely be returning in the near future."

"Sunday 25th July We enjoyed a very pleasant meal here today. My granddaughter has a dairy and soya allergy which I notified the restaurant of when I booked the table. On arrival at the restaurant the waiting staff were aware of this and were able to advise what food she could eat. Very impressed. All workers we encountered were very professional and we had a lovely evening. The only problem was that for suite the only thing my granddaughter could have was sorbet. Sadly there was some confusion as we were told that there was none left by some staff and that there was by others. When our suites arrived she was sat there with no pudding after a conversation with the waiting staff lo and behold sorbet was found. Although annoying this was dealt with very well by the workers and it all worked Out well. Very surprised when all the suites were deducted from the bill. The sign of great service is how things are dealt with when things go wrong. Riverside dealt with the problem in a superb way. Great food, great service, lovely surroundings. Particularly impressed with how pre notified allergies were acknowledged and suggestions made Well done guys, would recommend"

"We had a tasty lunch today. We shared some salt n pepper chicken wings they were delicious. I had a cheese and bacon burger which was OK, the bun was very chewy and the burger wasn’t to my taste, it wasn’t meaty enough. The corn on the cob and coleslaw which my husband let me have from his meal were really good and our fries were perfect. My husband said his brisket was tasty but there was a bit too much treacle sauce, it would be better if the extra sauce came in a pot, allowing a person to add more if needed. We left just enough room for the banana bread toffee pudding, the tinder yummy and the rum n raisin ice cream was excellent. The service was very good and we would dine there again."

"we will never use this takeaway ever again i ordered a donner kebab to which they replied sit in your car and we will bring it out to you !!we sat in our car right outside the takeaway and to our amazement they were making up orders and at times there were 3 of them handling the food orders and the hygiene of the people making up these orders was shocking one minute they had there hands in the bins ,then handling what looked like raw meat ,then making up kebabs with the hands they had previously been handling raw meat !!!!!! please for your own safety do not use this food outlet unless you have iron guts!!!!!! when i got home the donner kebab had been cut so thinly and the portion size for what they charged for was a total and utter rip off please be warned this review is for your own good and for you to be not disappointed like myself and many others who have been ripped off by this supposed food outlet,,,, once again shocking ,the food went into the bin as i was not prepared to take the risk of being ill .!!!!!!"

"this place and it's beautiful inside. two employees. waited old for drinks and were in cash for almost 10 minutes (may she see) so I went to the bar and took my own drinks back to the table. chap has apologized. drinks were...good ordered eating with wait 30 minutes (no starter) only about 16/20 customers in this time. then barman came by and said we were ready to order? again apologise and said our eating priority. when came over 50/60mins: the food was good and was not in a hurry (fish chips and a sweetheart) while there the police came, table next to me 4 older young had stolen phone from their table! chap went with just eat gang, wandered around the restaurant then took his phone and ran out! I arrived shortly before our arrival and my phone was on the table shortly before her table, so fortunately a situation hit there and a possible violent change def as I would have been after him. also was a situation with a worker (I will not go into them) that I and another customer helped (also eat ready to go to other customers) we helped when she was really upset. was also a beautiful girl, really hope that she was ok x just a strange night, but would go again, eat well, and I feel sure that this was not a normal evening."

"Just a small local café... Yeah right! Arrived as a group of 4 plus a 2 year old. Cafe very busy. Staff found us seats very fast and addad a child 's seat. The staff were very fast, rushing aroud. But not too fast as to be dangerous. Our order was taken in good time. And cthe food came out fast and was bery tasty, men 's toilets were clean and fresh. The bill was easy to pay, and attitude of the staff was very welcoming. Tables more suited to one or two persons but a family like ours the table was 'tight ' but I wouldn 't hesitate to return again."

"I tried this restaurant for the first time and was very impressed. It is definitely the best breakfast option in town. We ordered sausage, egg, and cheese batons, which were delicious with perfectly cooked eggs and tasty sausage. "A really nice pub! We came with a group from Germany. Everybody was happy. Nice atmosphere! The Fish Chips were pretty good! The Tikka Masala was also really good! Nice stop to have a good beer and some good food. We were now 2 Times at this place and we dont regret it! The only thing: All the tables and everything sticks. Like no one is cleaning or so. And i mean everything! Tables, Bar, doors... But exept that all is fine."

"Their customer service is seriously lacking. We stood at the 'wait here to be seated ' booth for close to 10 minutes but were pretty much ignored despite the restaurant only being about 1/4th occupied. We decided to just walk in then and seat ourselves and once we had done that still nobody acknowledged us. I finally had to get up, actually stop somebody and request them to give us menus. Two stars because burgers were nice enough. Definitely not worth menu price though, we had a voucher."
