"we had dinner here last month. it was a sunny day and we had a fantastic view of the harbour from where we sat. the restaurant has ample and comfortable seating and the burgers are incredible. the ratio of bungalow to patty is simply perfect. what I loved most was to see that they have several vegetarian / vegan choices. I had the Thai veg patty and my man had the regular veg patty (can not really remember which). we also ordered an additional Thai-Patty to be served separately, which we as an appetizer beside sweet potatoes (make well). moolah: 25 approx. (for 2 burgers, 1 extra patty and one part of the frits). positiw – good food, friendly staff, beautiful decoration, more remarkable view of the harbour recommended – catchups, early dinners, long lunches."

nice choice on the menu, burger was delicious and dirty french pretty good. space is clean and friendly and if they are happy enough for a window seat the look amazing.

first time to visit here. really enjoyed the huh, avocado and bacon burger. my friend had the Mexican burger he really liked. very tasty burgers at a reasonable price with a beautiful view of the water promenade. friendly staff and eating was quite fast prepared. I would recommend if they were in the opposite and looking for a good lunch / dinner View menu

Now the new menu has a smaller vegetarian options. And ingredients not locally sourced as you advertised. Chicken was tough and a hint cooked chicken should not snap when you bite into it. Handmade burger was the 1st through when going out for lunch or dinner but no more. I know you don't care as it's just about the money . Longtime customer no more

Food is great, this is our second visit. The service this time was non existent. We were first customers in for the day and whoever opened the shutters just seemed like we were an inconvenience for being in just after 12 (family of 4). Great views out the window, just a shame after our first visit was so nice. Rosemary salt chips are highly recommended!

Good burger selection and burger varieties. Service is quick, the place is clean and there are some amazing views out over the bay. It's a bit of a family place so not somewhere I visit often. Wish a bit more attention was spent on the decor just to make it bit less bland. Also they offer drinks refill packages so you don't have to flag down wait staff when you want another coke. I recently had a quick lunch at this restaurant. Unfortunately, it was looking a bit worn with outdated decor and furniture scattered around. However, the stunning views make it worth a visit. Fortunately, there weren't many people there so we were able to find a good table and were promptly served by a friendly waiter. We ordered burgers with fries and onion rings, and everything arrived quickly and was delicious.

Their customer service is seriously lacking. We stood at the 'wait here to be seated ' booth for close to 10 minutes but were pretty much ignored despite the restaurant only being about 1/4th occupied. We decided to just walk in then and seat ourselves and once we had done that still nobody acknowledged us. I finally had to get up, actually stop somebody and request them to give us menus. Two stars because burgers were nice enough. Definitely not worth menu price though, we had a voucher.

"new kapitel has caught my attention after I was on top ten on trip advisor only months after the opening in the oktober last year. that and the fact that it is open for my early january birthday, made it the perfect place to celebrate to become a little older. I was with the man and his family. the man is quite used to my taste and good to the kind of kitchen that would appeal to me for a special occasion; his family not so much and I was filled with shame as his mother scornful went through the menu trying to find something she would enjoy. I've eaten with the family of the man, and I know they enjoy eating, so I think it's a failure of the menu that it is not accessible. the benming always blooming and garnish can appeal to some, but for others it is overcomplicated and it is necessary to find a balance between the two. we start with the starters and I go for venison sour wort pithvier. the venison was underheated and incredibly dry, to the happiness the sourded a little moisturizing and so saved the whole dish, but the aromen were quite not clear, except the garnitur of plastered mushrooms I thoroughly enjoyed. for the largest part we chose a fish dish for our main,- sea trout, smoked muddles, petersilien and coast herbs. where the starter fell, the main recording is getting back. the dish is rich and creamy, and each element adds the complexity of the taste as a whole, without disturbing. the concept is now an old one, and it would be deceptive if it had not worked, as it would essentially pay with this place. I enjoyed my meal in new chapter, although I do not agree with it is stellar status under the hierarchy of edinburgh eateries. it is top ten position is just a flash in the pan of hot popularity, and in time it will be plated in the upper half of the middle stage where it belongs. and that is where it belongs, the dishes can be plated with a michelin star in understood, and the venue and the supporting media has the clean lines and empty slate look of fine but eat the team has a long gone to go if that is their real aim. at the end, although it was a beautiful meal, and cheap (at the moment I would not be surprised to see their prices slowly rise) and the man’s mother found something they enjoyed and that is the most important."
