"The problem with having an eponymous restaurant Mr. Ramsey is that when your staff mistreats its customers, it reflects poorly on you. The horrible service would have been comical had we not been celebrating a birthday and career accomplishment. The waiter rudely chastised us for not listening when he asked who wanted sparkling water and who wanted still, seemingly having complete amnesia from our order just 5 mins earlier. When we casually shuffled the waters to the right person, he offered, unsolicited, it is not my fault you received the wrong waters, you weren 't listening. Our jaws hit the table. Later, we attempted to smooth over Watergate by explaining that we could not hear him in the loud restaurant (he seemed to only mouth his words instead of vocalize them). He responded you can 't expect me to raise my voice. Why yes, that 's exactly what we expected. We ordered burgers (two medium rare and one medium well) and fish and chips. After we said medium rare, he seemed to mouth the words medium well but we couldn 't actually hear him, he was still mouthing words and our lip reading skills were not up to task. Oddly, our food arrived less than a minute after we placed our order and when we inquired of the food runner which were medium rare, he responded, with condescension that they were all medium well and the restaurant was not licensed to serve meat any other way. What a surprise. The bottoms of the buns were complet lt soggy, indicating that they had been prepared long before we ordered them. Had it just been bad food, we might not have sworn off future visits to your restaurants. However, the fact that the staff felt unapologetically entitled to berate us is something that we can 't get past. That behavior comes from the top. Badly done Mr. Ramsey. Badly done indeed."

"Mixed experience. Had a booking, restaurant still on a Monday afternoon, took 5 minutes for someone to come to us at the desk, and when she did she barely said hello, just looked at us with a scowl. After that sat at table for 15 minutes waiting for someone to eat over. Eventually got order in, waitress didn't even ask if we wanted anything to drink. We were there 30 minutes before we actually got a drink. Not really acceptable in a quiet restaurant, that was closing in less than an hour closes early on a Monday. Food was good when it came, and different waitress by now, who was so much better. So a mixed bag. I know staff difficulties at present, but 10 minutes training in fundamentals would help. As would have someone in charge on the floor to ensure paying customers are being looked after. Poor management from what I saw. Pity, as some of the staff were great, others very poor. "We visited on Saturday, the night before the marathon. We booked a table. Came in, seen it was busy, so thought this is going to be good. We were seated late which was fine, no problem. We sat next to another couple, (tables were close) we ordered some drinks then our meal. Drinks arrived on our table, weren’t ours, it was the next table. We waited an hour for our starters, tables were coming in and getting served. A table of 6/8 came in and got their starter and mains before us. There was a lot of cross words at the boy in the hair band which I thought he was doing all the work and was very kind if I am honest. Garlic bread came was so dry. They kept going by saying have you eaten? Have you ordered? Have you had mains? Our mains came out an hour later and they didn’t know who it was for. The table next to us actually had to point out it was our food they heard our order. Being a restaurant manager I would like to say… 1. Don’t argue or talk to staff badly, anywhere, but especially not on the floor, I actually think it was maybe husband and wife, it’s not good in front of customers and I know it’s hard and frustrating work, but I don’t even think any of the customers were being rude, the people I heard ask where food was were all being polite. 2. We understand it was busy and every business needs money but don’t take in more people than you should. 3. When you sneeze please do it into your arm and not your hands then don’t wash them, I genuinely couldn’t believe it, hygiene is huge, especially in catering. I’m genuinely shocked I still ate my food after the person touched my plate later on. as they didn’t go anywhere near a sink or a sanitizer. Our mains were lovely. I hope the famous athlete who was in the restaurant at the same time got his food on time and amazing service. But, I do genuinely believe on a normal busy night this restaurant would be fine, just a few tweaks needed. 2 stars lost due to my hygiene comment and how they were openly arguing with one another."

"I can here on a busy Saturday, however I had a reservation and I was very disappointed. Firstly the service was terrible, we had booked a table through open table and we still had to wait over half an hour for our table to be ready. When we were finally seated the terrible service continued. As soon as we were sat down and got our menus they asked us our order, some of us even had our jackets on. I felt quite rushed. We ordered our food quickly and waited over 45 minutes till dishes started to arrive. Many of the dishes were missing. One of the members of our party ordered a pornstar martini which came half empty and the shot of prosecco was almost non existent. We then complained to the manager who said ‘don’t worry about it we will get you a new one and you can keep that one as an apology’. However the new pornstar martini did not turn up till we had almost finished our mains. The mains were luke warm and they forgot so many parts of our dishes, for example forgetting the wraps for the fajitas, the dips with our starters and many more. As the evening came to a close I was glad to be leaving. We asked for our bill and when I checked it I found out that we had been charged twice for the pornstar martini and all the other extras we never got. We asked for this to be removed which the waitresses seemed hesistant so had to wait to speak to the manager. The manager was attentive and removed that charger however it wasn’t a good experience. I won’t be return any time soon."
