"We waited an hour for our food to come. When it came it was cold. I sent mine back which then took a further 30 minutes to come out with a fresh one. My partner said his full English was not good quality and was also cold. There is no allergen information on the menu next to the dishes. Was very busy but seemed very understaffed and as though they were not prepared for a busy service. It was very clean and the manager was good. The bill was altered. Personally I wouldn’t go back for breakfast. We wanted to try something new but were disappointed."

"I hope it was just a blip. We go here regularly for breakfast and usually faultless, however staff were all different, coffees were cold, sent back and they microwaved them! Brought no spoon, had to ask for one, they brought a little spoon that was no good for the tall latte cups, order came out wrong etc, not the usual service we get."

"Just over the road from Marylebone station, on the corner, this is a very small cafe in the traditional English style. The service however is anything but traditional, it is fast and efficient, even to the point of little order tickets. I ordered the breakfast special, at a fiver and fifty including tea or coffee it was the perfect medium breakfast. Bigger eaters will want to add a few extras to get the full English but regardless the prices are very reasonable for this part of London. The food is not fancy but it is good honest fare. You can't beat a good English breakfast on a winter morning and this cafe gives you that, without the hassle of places like Wetherspoons or the blandness of McDonalds. It is not the place for a quiet brunch but there is a comforting bussiness here."

"Superb apple crumble with that home cooked taste, topped with ice cream. Really nice after a ciabbata! I was going to get a latte but wanted another tea. The seating area is small but well worth the trip for the apple crumble, ice cream and tea! it is a small café so will fit a wheelchair but just although the entrance is not wheelchair accessible but the staff would accommodate by assisting. Tea is on point! Nice atmosphere and service!"

"Great atmosphere and excellent TV quality. The food was nice and good. All staff were very friendly. However, bar service seemed pretty slow. It was a busy evening, but often there were two or three employees who spoke to each other, and served a person who was a little annoying when you tried to watch a football match again. One of the bar employees did not seem to know how to pour beer, fill glasses with almost pure foam! That didn't happen to the other."

"We decided to grab a quick lunch at this restaurant on our way to the city. We each ordered a sandwich and a drink, which came to £10. The sandwiches were simple but delicious. The service was fast. "We arrived at 19.30 as booked on the Saturday before Christmas. We were taken to the table, given menus and asked what we would like to drink. We chose an Australian Chardonnay from a selection of four or five whites. When the wine arrived we were asked what we would like to order to be told that there was no fish and no steak. Both of which would have been choices for my family. So the choice was burgers or pasta. We considered leaving but decided to stay. It took over an hour for the food to arrive, even though the restaurant was not busy, so we needed another bottle of wine: none left only Sauvignon Blanc. When the food did arrive in fairness it was hot and tasty, the service was from a very tired waitress who tried to be helpful. But none of us actually hate what we would have had as a first choice. So sorry to the restaurant but no recommendation from me."

"We all greatly enjoyed the excellent food and would readily recommend a visit .However on a cold winter night do ask not to be seated next to the external doors.We were surprised that the cold draught from this busy restaurant was not acknowledged when we were seated. We appreciate all restaurants must have an exit and cold air will blow in here are a few suggestions based on other establishments we have visited who have conquered this have a heater above the door so warm air is blowing in and not just put a heavy draped curtain on the outside of the door to limit the draft when door only have one entry offer your guests blankets for wrapping around their legs we found doing this with our coats helpedOnce we got over the cold drafts issue with our coats we settled down and had a fab eve with great food will definitely return and look forward to seeing how the draft solution is solved stars all the way thereafter!!"

"Our first visit after a friends suggestion and we will be going again. All the staff were friendly and polite, with a special mention to Matt G who was our main server. He was fully knowledgeable about the menu and made sure everything was fully to our liking. Three of us dined and 2 had special dietary needs,This was fully indicated on the menu and the choice was certainly not limited. Food arrived hot,freshly cooked and in a timely manner. At no point did we feel that were were either waiting for food or being rushed through courses. Nothing was too much trouble and this really does make a pleasant change nowadays when dining anywhere. "After being poorly booked as a treat. Specifically asked the waitress for no fish in the sandwiches she returned and confirmed this was ok and the fish filling would be changed. They arrived with fish. Very disappointing and we didnt correct them as they were so busy. Scones arrived with just cream and we had to ask for jam. Careless error. Overall the afternoon tea was lovely but care needs to be taken as whilst we do not have food allergies someone just may well have. Returning this weekend so hoping things are excellent."

I warned that it might be a little waiting for me to eat, but I wasn't in a hurry and I'm glad I was patient because what arrived was absolutely delicious. everything on the menu was clearly marked as vegan, vegetarian and/or gluten-free. "Lovely setting, very homely and welcoming waitress/owner, manager? Service was a bit slow (we didn't mind at all as it was comfortable) but we went at the start of January so I suspect they didn't expect many customers to turn up in their small restaurant! Food was really tasty, presented well and plentiful. We only had breakfast dishes with coffee and smoothies, but thought we will come back to sample more dishes in the evening, very soon! It was a good sign as well that every table was taken."
