"Another lovely visit to La Casa but this time the Leith venue rather than Dalry. My brother and his partner had never been but they absolutely loved it too! Best place for a giant copa de sangría and unusual tapas. Great selection of vegetarian options too!"

"We went to the Sunny on 23.03.24 as a group of 8 friends. It was a trip down memory lane for us all from when we were much younger. The meal was great and authentic greek cypriot and the staff could not do enough for us to make the evening really enjoyable for everyone. We all need local restaurants like yours to ensure that good food and sensible prices make a meal a real occasion with family and friends. I think you will benefit from some advertising and social media exposure to ensure everyone knows you are offering great food! I wish you all the best for the future and I will be back to sample some more great food and take advantage of your Sunday roast dinners."

"Managed to book a table for two last minute and now I understand why this place is so busy! Best meal out I have had in a long time. Food was perfect and incredibly priced, we had it with a bottle of Greek red wine which was perfect. Staff were friendly and attentive and helped me in my choice of food as I have a few allergies. Food came out incredibly quick. The lamb chops were to die for. Highly recommend and I hope to visit Andy's Taverna soon again."

"The restaurant offers a wide variety of options ranging from meat to vegetarian, including kebabs, wraps, burgers, and milkshakes. My family particularly enjoys their wraps, although my 11-year-old daughter finds them a bit too spicy. However, they do offer the option to adjust the spice level, which I unfortunately forgot to request. The wraps are packed full of meat or vegetarian fillings, along with various sauces and salad options that make for a satisfying meal. The preparation area is clean and hygienic, and the prices are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone - their wraps are some of the best I've ever had."

"I took my mom out for her birthday to this wonderful restaurant. The ambience was lovely and I highly recommend trying the Bay Tree Rossini - it was delicious. I would definitely return. The service, meal type, dinner, and price per person were all great. I rated the food, service, and atmosphere a 5 out of 5. I recommend trying the Steak Rossini."

"excellent in a family or corporate or event restaurant. this place is not Chi Chi Chi or sniffy. Just really good. they are greeted with warmth at the door. at the table they are presented with hearty, warm flat brot with a yogurt-based dip. yum. our Calamari starter was perfectly cooked with a small green salad on the plate and a delicate rémoulade sauce, not hot, not garlicky and not red. as my wife and I are fischaholics our main was their charcoal grilled whole sea bass. this was presented perfectly with colored rice and an salat on the plate. the bass was skillfully prepared with delicate crumbling and olive oil, which did not fight with the mild taste of the fish. the skin of the fish was perfectly cristed. with all this we had a bottle of her non-vintage Turkish white wine kavaklidere cankaya. the cankaya is moderately fed with medium acid; perfectly dry without edges in mouth. mund textur is like a fully mature white bordeaux. the nose and the palate is dominated by honigtaumel with a hauch of fresh coward. the finish is medium. Yeah, all this about a white wine I've never heard of. that was dessert baclava, of course. that was perfectly presented with three large pieces on our plates. we had the baclava with its authentic Turkish tee... sugar, yes; milk, no. twisted with Turkish coffee. all for 80 pfund for two. as besides: I lived in the turkey in the 1970s and I own a fine restaurant in America, but now in the opposite. I have eaten in stars restaurants in France and italy. I think I know when a restaurant shoots on all cylinders and this is here. book them early as there are limited tables in this little gem of a restaurant. kudos an ray of the owner. he is a young and enthusiastic businessman and wants them to be satisfied. go to the mosaic grill and look forward to it."

"Okay, so just moved into the opposite and I love Turkish food, so I just had to try my new locals. kusadasi! Turkish food for me is not only kebabs his about the sharing mezes, traditional hot stew, grilled fish/meat and fresh salads. during my visit in this time I enjoyed a mixture of cold meze and hot meze (the starter definitiw again the fasuliye (green beans in tomaten sounds simple, but tastes amazing. getting a mix is always a great idea because then they get pieces of everything: for the net I ordered a court called yogurtlu tavuk sis, which is known in truthahn. the basis of the cube of the brotes with the delicious sauce and the meat of the choice then occupied with yogurt. the mains also came with free dressing of the cabbage with beet juice (wow amazingly delicious for a beetle and an salad. overall I enjoyed the meal and so be happy my natives. even if they just want to take a kebab in sure it would be nice. my waiter and also the grill cook were very friendly. will definitely go back. id say also not be a chic restaurant only incase everyone thinks of a romantic candlelight dinner. but charming :"

"I love this place! the staff are so friendly, and their falafels are unreasonable good. probably because they are deep fried. my order is a falafel and halloumi wrap, and they can add lots of delicious pieces to their wrap, such as crooked, rita, olive, salad bits, tabbouleh, and they have a delicious mango sauce, and aubergin, with a bold, smokey taste. I also have good autority that they work on their vegan baking. at my last visit I received a vegan zimtbunk, fresh from that, and so delicious they will have to put it on the menu (min was from a test approach, I gave very enthusiastic feedback they also do a vegan huh that my brother really enjoys. highly recommended, but check the opening times, most days do not make dinner."

"I feel so bad writing this review and this restaurant is usually one of our favourites but I haven’t been in a while and due to a special occasion I booked it (group of 4 . We arrived to Kilis but moved to Mem Laz which is the same restaurant basically but it didn’t have much atmosphere but it was fine. We wanted to chat away so it didn’t really matter (daytime booking . Not sure if menus are different. We had the menu which is just as we remembered it, lots of yummy options! We ordered starters drinks at first and said we’d take our time with main orders as there were lots of options. We ordered within 5-10 mins and picked from one of their offer menus (deal for starter and main . All seemed fine. Service was good. We loved the location of the table and all was going well until the bill arrived. We were not charged the deal price but standard price for each time as they said we didn’t book the starter and main at the same time (go figure?! . They could have made that clear at time of ordering?! So we ended up paying about £10-£15 more when we were trying to order within the offer rules (I would have ordered something else instead! . A bit cheeky if you ask me and no option for us to dispute. We paid and decided that we probably won’t return which is a shame as we have fond memories!"

"We stumbled upon this restaurant without much knowledge about it, but we were pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant has a cozy and chic interior, making it a great place for friends or a date. We ordered 5 dishes to share and each one was amazing. The falafel was particularly outstanding. I will definitely be back soon."

"Our multi generational family group really enjoyed our meal here recently. They are a family run restaurant specialising in traditional Lebanese and Syrian food. The menu is quite comprehensive to say the least, and not being *that* familiar with the cuisine of this region we opted for a few starter dishes we'd heard of (such as Babaghanouj) together with some others we hadn't. Sharing everything was a great way to try multiple things and I'd recommend it here as there were some really tasty discoveries. For mains, most of us chose a kebab in one form or another, with separate servings of salad and rice (the Mujadara rice whole lentils rice cooked in vegetable oil spices, topped with fried onions was really good). As an added bonus, you can bring your own alcohol with you the corkage is only £1 a bottle. They also stock a range of Lebanese wines and beers as well as some mainstream beers. Given how popular the restaurant was on a Sunday evening goes to show they cook and serve great food. We'll definitely be returning here."

"I came here for dinner with my family for our first experience with Eritrean cuisine and let me tell you: we came to the right place! The colours of the food were so vibran and because you eat everything with your own hands, it really is a true eating experience. The food itself, well that is just the most delicious explosion of flavours. We ordered 10 injeras and the vegan platter. It included falafel with spicy hummus and spicy chilly paste as a starter and a tray where injeras were layered on and topped with 4 different dips/stews. They were Hamli (made of spinach), Timtimo (made of spicy lentils) Azifa (made of green lentils), Bamia (okra simmered with tomatoes and spices/herbs) and Kik (made of yellow split peas). We also ordered shiro (made of chickpeas) as an extra stew. Even though the menu states that the platter is for two people, it really is more than enough for 4 people. It was a lot of food, we ate until we were happily full and we still asked if they could box the leftovers up for us. The staff really was so friendly and accommodating. I totally recommend this place not only for the amazing vegan food but also because of the friendly staff and efficient service."

"So a couple of weeks ago we ordered a takeaway from Piato restaurant in Baldock. 3 chicken souvlaki, 12.95 each, so 38.85 in total. One of the chicken meals was undercooked with pink/blood running through, so could not be eaten. All 3 meals came with a salad in a box and all 3 salads were brown . Andy called the manager and was very respectful and pointed out how surprised we were as we have eaten many times at Piato's and have never had a bad meal. The manager said he was sorry and he will cook the chicken longer next time and he insisted that the brown on the salad was due to the dressing that was put on the salad. He told Andy he was sorry and when we next order, he will do something for us to make amends. Today Andy called to order 3 more meals and was told we could have a 10% discount 3.80. Andy said that that offer was ridiculous as one whole meal last time was inedible, the manager would then only offer 15% 5.82. Off the order. Andy was told that they were not offering any more than that. So we cancelled the order and will never eat in Piato's again. What a joke and such a shame what poor customer service from what we thought was a quality restaurant. Check your chicken folks!!!"

"It didn’t hurt that the waiters were quite easy on the eyes; our waiter, Calum, was not only attractive but also truly exceptional. Now, let’s talk about the food. It was delicious! I highly recommend the chicken spring rolls, which were absolutely delightful and definitely some of the best I’ve ever tasted. The shrimp prawn crackers were also fantastic; I could have eaten more, to be honest. For my main dish, I opted for the sweet chicken with coconut, and I can’t complain about that choice either. The flavors were to die for. If I had to make one constructive critique, I would have liked a bit more coconut flavor in my rice. However, the rice was still pretty damn good. I will definitely be returning!"

"We booked a party of 8 for a 5.45 slot as we had to leave at 7 to attend a concert at 7.30. Although some members of the party were late, orders of most people were placed at 6.00. No-one got their main course (in some cases the only course) till 6.45 despite several requests that the performer in the party should be served as soon as her food was ready. Staff waited for the latecomers order to be taken, and then all food was served at absolutely the last minute. The staff seemed overwhelmed by the number of diners, and communication was difficult due to language difficulties. My Lasagne was overcooked and unappetizing. I will not go back."

"The Menu is brilliant and has a great array of choices. In the end we chose the baba ganouch starter to share it cae with quite exquisite crumbly goat's cheese and garlicky baba ganouch and a beautiful puffed up bread followed by mixed kebab for 2 (it's a Turkish restaurant after all the kebab was barbequed lamb, chicken breast, legs and wings with a big lamb shsih kebab, salad and we had fries..all were delicious and plenty for 2....finished off with good turkish coffee (black, slightly sweetened) and turkish tea (black, no milk) and turkish delight superb.....The service was brilliant..even had my fortune told based on the coffee grounds! This is the second time we have been there and there will definitely be a third time and more..."

"After reading all the good reviews we ordered a take out from their full menu for us to break fast with. How disappointing. The portion sizes were tiny, especially for the price. I calculated a total bill completely different to theirs. It was more than £10 more. The food was not worth the price and most of it was pretty bland. There wasnt much meat/poultry. I could have made a better meal at home (and wish I had now). This has been by far the worse and most disappointing meal I've had in a very very long time. I was interested in trying the breakfast here but i wont bother now. The staff were not exactly smiling or very friendly either. Their website also states 20% student discount which I dont think was fully applied. There is no way I would pay £66 for 3 mains, 3 mezes and 2 chips. All in all I wont be going back."
